We've been to Salida many many times and always wanted to make it to Soulcraft, but never made it since it's not in the immediately walkable downtown. We stopped here this time after coming back from Monarch mountain and I'm glad we did - loved the vibes and local feel! Husband and I got a coconut milk stout and fruited sour, both of which were really tasty. They also have food onsite (albeit a limited menu and you can't bring in your own food). They had TVs behind the bar and were playing the Broncos game while we were there. Would be fun to sit out on the patio in the nicer weather! Glad we finally made it in.

Ok, if you don't eat here you are missing out. The food is ABSURDLY good. And unique, with just a bit of spice. We had the kimchi cucumber side, which was excellent- a kimchi sauce with fresh cilantro, can't be beat. We also had the ridiculous-ness burger, which was aptly named and so flavorful. The pastrami added some great flavor, plus the special sauce was just a little extra bite. The beer was good- we had the Mexican larger and the juicy hazy ipa, but THE FOOD. We are coming back for the food, unquestionably. You should too.

I got the Colorado smash burger with roasted green chilis. Absolutely delicious. I give it a 15 out of 10!

Awesome selection of beers, from pale ale to stout. Attentive service, friendly vibe.

Food was great and exactly what we were looking for. Despite only having one bartender, Charlie worked efficiently and was super friendly. Perfect spot for a chill Tuesday night meal.

This was my favorite spot we hit in Salida this past weekend, because they make damn good beer! Did I mention a dog-friendly patio, fire pits and views of the beautiful snow capped mountains? Doesn't get much better. Soulcraft Brewing isn't located in the historic downtown district, rather off the main drag of State Road 50. They boast a large indoor space with a stage, so it's safe to assume they host musicians and other forms of entertainment. We brought the dogs with us, so it's always an adventure when the pups are in tow. The patio is large and well-spaced out with 4-top tables, including an automatic fire pit at each table. It might not be as cold as we're used to this time of year, but it was nice to keep the hands warm while drinking a cold one. Speaking of cold ones, Soulcraft has 16 beers on tap. The two that I had full pours of were awesome. Centi-mental IPA and Bon Ton Brown. I love a good hoppy brew and found theirs to be citrusy, slightly bitter and a semi dry finish. The brown ale was perfect on a cool day by the fire. Malty, chocolate and caramel notes. Both delicious if you ask me! They also serve food, which many people around us were scarfing down. We ate prior and were preoccupied with the dogs. The staff did a great job during a shift change, still bussing tables, starting the fire pits and slinging beer. Easy recommendation when in the area!

Round 1 with the Green Chile Ale!

We had some good beer from Soulcraft! For this brewery Steve and I had two different beers of theirs in which we really enjoyed! One was Komura which was a traditional style beer which had a great flavor to it and was different for us as it's a style we don't see much of. But the beer we liked most was the next one. The Green Chile Ale was so tasty that we had two servings of it. We love chili beers but sometimes as we've gotten older some of those chili beers get too hot for us but that wasn't the case here at all. It had a good bite with a bit of heat without us getting the heartburn later!

Went there on 9/18/21. We were driving through just to get To Go beer. They have a really big inside and decent patio. You order at the bar. Looks like they have a good size beer list from light to dark and they Can about 5-6 of their beers. Staff was very friendly. Cheers!

Every time we do go to the 50 Burger though it's good. Very consistent in all aspects of a restaurant; food taste, presentation and speed. The service is good. Although you order at the counter like a fast food place they bring the food out to your table. There is plenty of seating. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. Salida is a small town compared to many places in Colorado. So the competition may not be as much as say if they were in Denver but if they were there they would still shine because they're just that good. The burgers are very tasty, the fries are great, a large fry will feed two people easily. The shakes are really good. Just like in the past they come out with a full glass plus the remainder of shake in the stainless mixing cup. It's well worth the stop if you're in town and hungry.

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant which was close to our hotel. The only catch was that it closes at 8 pm & we only had 30 minutes to get there. Our group each had one of "The Classics". Beef stroganoff…read moretasted okay but very little meat.. Given the word "classic", I was expecting long thinly sliced beef , this was small chunks of beef. When I see "Classic Fried Chicken" on a menu, I would expect crispy pan fried bone in chicken... like what my mom made. This Fried chicken consisted of two roundish chunks of boneless white meat breaded in bread or corn meal, picture "shake--n-bake" consistency. Truly tasted like eating cheap frozen breaded boneless chicken. No flavor. No seasoning , not even salt/pepper. The gravy was pale yellow.. NOT at all like CLASSIC freshly made/home made pan chicken gravy, with chunks of the crispy fried pieces from the pan . This seemed more like something out of a jar.. I subbed seasonal vegetable instead of mashed potatoes. The only thing we ordered that was delicious, Cauliflower and Romanesque . Although when asked prior to ordering , the server said the seasonal vegetable was Romanesque, I was surprised that it was a blend with cauliflower...mainly cauliflower, very few Romanesque The fish and chips looked and tasted like Long John Silver's fast food. Two chunks of fish batter fried. The chips seemed like bulk frozen fries. The person who ordered the fish/chip ate very little of it. The bar drinks were good, on their own, those would be 4 stars. , I ordered the mocktail Butterfly Lemonade. It was a lovely shade of lavender, but was like drinking pure bottled lemon juice mixed with some sparkling water. Zero sweetness, even though simple syrup was the second ingredient stated in the ingredients. We sent that drink back. Server was very nice. Outdoor seating was pleasant. Those elements would be 4 star.
