I was casually browsing FB one day and saw a post that led me to Soulmate Rescue's website. That's when I saw 2 month old Floofy, rescued from a dump in Mexicali, and immediately fell in love!! I submitted my application to adopt and just 24 hours later, I had an appointment to meet her in person. Floofy went home with me that day. Three months later, Floofy (now renamed Flora) is thriving and stopping strangers in the street with her adorableness. I'm so grateful to Vanessa and the Soulmate Rescue team for bringing her into my life!!

Love at first sight! Went with my girls and husband to local Starbucks ran into Amy while she was carrying Muchkin. We fell in love him from a distance and we then asked to pet Munchkin and that was it he was underway of becoming part of our family . That night we filled out the form spoke with Amy and Vanessa and they helped make out dreams come true by Saturday morning we had our new pup in arms. It's going to be three week tomorrow and we could t be more please ! Thank you for helping us find Morty (formally known as Munchkin.

Puppies + Barre = Pure Bliss!! FTR (First to review) baby because I take my puppy-cuddling and barre-tucking very seriously! 'Soulmate Animal Rescue' teamed up with Studio Barre for the Puppies and Pull-offs event, and let me tell you, it was paws-itively amazing. :)) Imagine holding a plank while a tiny, wiggly puppy stares into your soul (or tries to climb on your back). It was equal parts workout and therapy session. I was distracted throughout the whole workout but hey no complaints! The energy was incredible with barre lovers and puppy lovers coming together for a cause that's 100% non-profit, donation, and volunteer-run. Every barre movement felt easier knowing that all proceeds were going to help these adorable fur babies find their forever homes. Did I get a workout? Yes. Did I get distracted every time a puppy wobbled past? Absolutely. Oh and one of these overly enthusiastic fur babies, Rocky had a little accident and pooped right in the middle of class. Oy!! Did I consider sneaking one home in my gym bag? No comment. If you ever get a chance to attend one of these collaborative events, DO IT. Check out their website and calendar for other events happening throughout San Diego, volunteer, and better yet donate. Soulmate Animal Rescue is run by the kindest humans and most enthusiastic tail-waggers. If you're looking for a great cause to support this is your organization.

We weren't looking to get a new puppy but so glad it worked out the way it did! Stumbled across soulmate animal rescue in Poway and became a foster to this sweet babe. By day 2 I decided she had to stay with us Everyone at soulmate was super helpful and responsive. they all really seem to care about the dogs under their care. I was specifically taken aback by how tender they were to the senior dogs you don't see that often. They showed so much respect to each dog and seemed to build connections with each baby.

His owner became ill, and If She couldn't find someone to take Him, I was told,She would have had to put Him to sleep. I Immediately stepped in. We were Homeless together for 2 1/2 years, and with the help of the VA, and VASH, ( I am an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Navy), I was Approved for Section 8 Housing. After being on the bottom of a waiting list (for an Apartment) CODY and I soon got Our own place! He has been with Me as My Family, My Companion, One of My Loves, and most importantly, My Sobriety Cat. "My HERO"! We have been through a lot together. He has kept Me Strong during difficult times, (We all know how Life can be)! Around the beginning of the Year, 2026, I took CODY in for a check-up. I found Out He had "Kidney Disease". I was devastated. I didn't know what little time We had left together. His last weekend with Me, He wasn't eating and Very weak. I contacted Humane Society in Escondido, cause I live in North County. I made an Appointment to bring Him in. It was Sunday March 15, 2026. When I arrived, the Staff were very Courteous, Compassionate and really showed their Love for My CODY, like I have. They allowed Me to spend as much time as needed. I asked them if they can give Him some water, because He seemed to be trying to swallow. They said of course, and They would give Him "Whipped Cream"! When I left Him that afternoon, CODY looked so Peaceful! I Truly felt I had made the right decision! My Sincere Appreciation for CODY and San Diego Humane Society (Escondido Branch)! btw I am still maintaining Sobriety! NMRK

You can tell by how the puppies/dogs respond around her. She is a very honest, sweet, informative doggy foster mom. She provided information from toys, food & extensive doggy tips. She is always responsive by phone and text. Even when I text her late at night, she is always responding! Before the actual adopting day, she would send you pictures of your puppy to keep you updated. Truthfully, she and how Art and paw animal rescue is ran, should be an example of how all the animal rescues should be. I adopted my puppy from a group of 9 puppies and she knew everything about each and every single one of them. One thing I appreciate about her is, she doesn't get motivated by money but rather she truly cares for the dogs and want them to find the perfect home. She really takes the time to find the perfect home for each dog! You will not regret adopting! Also her company is ran from donations so please head onto the website and donate (: Thank you Liraz for the amazing experience.

On last Saturday, we went to Petsmart to get some dog food and cat food. My wife found this lovely dog that she would not leave without her. Art and Paws Animal Rescue went through all the questions about our living environment to make sure the dog was going to a right place, made sure that we were committed, not compulsive and showed us the papers with medical history and everything. Lulu is so happy being with other brothers and a sister and fit right in without hesitation. There are some dog rescues that only concentrate on making dogs adopted but Art and Paws Rescue really care for the dogs and we felt the right thing as dog owners. I already sent them thank you email plus lots of pictures ans will follow up with them continuously. Great job "Art & Paws Animal Rescue" and thank you for letting us having Lulu.

Clean and California pet store compliant. I've been to this and the previous Escondido Pets store…read moremany times and it's always a must stop when visiting this North County shopping mall. Kids of all ages love this place.. The only thing I dont like about this pet store is that it's always crowded with customers. A bit too much for me but at least dogs and cats are finding loving forever-homes quickly. Is it better to shop at the humane society, a pet store or from Craigslist (people that breed animals in their backyards)? Well all of my pets came from the humane society. But going that route isn't for everyone as there can be challenges with owning pets that have been previously mistreated. It can require more time, love and patience. Unfortunately younger Americans want status and pedigree with their smartphones, Instagram pages, and their "pets". In summation, the pets at Bark Avenue always seem happy, healthy and are treated with dignity. Tip - Watch out for negative reviews from extremists who write 1 star reviews for all pet stores including Petco..

Last week it was just after 10am and we came in to look at the dogs, becuase we are interested in adopting a new puppy. No one was manning the front. NO ONE. The shop was empty and we were the only people on the sales floor. We waited about ten minutes to see if anyone would come out of the back to help us. Nobody showed... Last evening we were back at the mall, and decided to see if the puppy we were keen on was still there. He was. The shop was full of teenaged girls cooing and fawning over the dogs, and I thought surely someone will come out to help us. Nope! We couldn't figure out if any of these girls was actually working there, or if they were all just "mall kids" . Suffice it to say-the French bulldog we are interested in adopting is still there today. I work in retail myself: If I see a well dressed middle aged couple walk into me sales floor full of fawning 16 year olds, I know who I'd give my time and attention to. They lost a very lucrative sale of a French bulldog. We will be calling a reputable breeder today.

Hello, My dog, who is now resting in a better place, and is…read morein other reviews for grooming places etc.... Ava. I believe I should have written Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue and asked to be a foster mother temporarily instead of jumping the gun. They were helpful when I met them at PetSmart off College in Oceanside, CA on Sunday when they have rerecurring adoption events outside. It is a great starting set up and their accommodations intertwined with PetSmart really made me feel as though I was going off on the right foot with a new puppy pal, who I named Bella. She is approx. 4 months old and she was a stray in Mexico, from what I was told, and I did not take into consideration whether I would be the one to be able to mother my two children and take her to her training because she really is worth it. She is amazing, adorable, LOVING! dog. She wanted my love every single day whether I was stressed or not she managed to do better than I did some days. I really feel as though I let her down by not being able to keep her because I was able to get her to walk around outside without trying to run up inside the Condo right away, which she did try to do for the first few days. Everyone interested in going to the humane society should know there is a difference between a stray dog that is found in North County or San Diego County for a day walking around or two, versus a dog who has had to fend for themselves from such a young and early age. Fuzzy Feet really helps these dogs and I can see that they give them the best they can and that is so much more than most places or a humane society who I can see putting them down because in the past they had put down a dog of mine who was 9 months old that had gotten out for less than 24 hours and they had already quarantined my animal and told me to pay for it or they have to put them down. Rescues like Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue I really appreciate, and they also are once again like I said, linked with PetSmart in the sense that they will give you tons of coupons for free doggie day care day, free one on one training, free vet exam at participating Banfield, and tons of coupons within the store. My heart was empty after losing my dog of 14 years and I realized this was not the answer, but I do advocate for this rescue and what they are doing. I wish that they will provide seeking dog adopters with medication lists that the dog is on and that way you do not have to find out the hard way in your home that they have worms. lol. Puppys get them a lot and I realize this, granted my dog I had before never had them, but she also was never a starving stray and I know they are doing an excellent job. Here are some pictures of Bella in the car, and in the home just relaxing and being better behaved than my dog was for 14 years in the car, and she was twice as small. I did not want a full refund as it was not part of the contract but that is what they gave me. I appreciate that but I also wanted to donate to them more things I have, and I did not feel as though they were interested. Dogs from Mexico can have anxiety issues and whine for no reason and lead to chewing etc., more so than an average puppy. Bella is worth it if I did not have my work from home and Motherhood, I would have been able to do all the things she needed. She is an amazing, adorable, and a sweetheart and I pray for and her and all the dogs there with FFDR and I hope that they get adopted soon but I can say this dog Bella she responded to her name after a couple days she ate when it was time and then left it and she relaxed in the car. Thank you again FFDR. My only ask or constructive comment(s) would be to please get them tagged (it is also $15.00/fifteen dollars right now for chipping your dog at SDHS) and to take them established to a vet in San Diego County instead of over the border, and make sure that if they are on a deworming schedule I would have liked to know. Also, the paperwork had her beginnings of regular vaccinations except for the Rabies vaccine even though she was from Mexico and a stray and was living with other rescues and to help the adopter not have those fees and be able to take them to training right away without having to worry about the chipping and rabies vaccine. Bella was retreated twice in my home as well as I was concerned about her spaying job since I could not take her to the same vet as the one she was spayed at, I would not have been able to use the PetSmart coupon for free Banfield Exam and establishment of care without having to pay for the Rabies and Chipping later on, but her blue scars from it were raised and worrisome.
