    Apple cinnamon pancakes
    Tammy T.

If you are a pancake lover, then you must try their pancakes here. They were so fluffy, light, and flavorful. We ordered the apple cinnamon pancake and was surprised to find the apples inside the pancake, but it was yummy regardless. Of course, we had to order a savory dish to complement our sweet one so we got the Tuscan omelet, which was served with their home fries. I really liked the portabello mushrooms. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Make sure to come here early before it gets crowded around 10:15 AM on the weekends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server was nice and checked in on us several times. We didn't order drinks this time but I know you serve your own coffee/tea. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This cafe reminds me of a more "old-school diner vibe" instead of an upscale brunch place, but that's ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are average. I'm so glad this brunch restaurant is in my neighborhood!

So I went here because they offered mimosas, but when I got there and the bar was closed because they are not licensed at the moment. I ended up getting a tuna melt which was very disappointing the tuna was so cold, just the bread was grilled. It gave it a weird contrast because you're eating hot and cold. The service is not very professional. They don't check on you, not helpful with questions. I had to keep trying to flag someone down to get necessary items. They never brought napkins, water, nothing. There is street/meter parking. There are lots of shops in the surrounding area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is clean, and big, plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Good portion sizes with a side of fruit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But it had more of a diner feel than an upscale brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is quite spacious and finding a table was easy enough on a Saturday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I both got the eggs Benedict which was good (mine was with avocado, hers with smoked salmon) and a side of fruits. It was good The coffee however was burnt, and we could barely finish our mug, let alone request a refill.

    Meat Lovers Omelet

The diner is located in a busy neighborhood and is usually busy on the weekends. Luckily there was no wait this time I went! The place has a very relaxed vibe. Once seated you can grab water from the water stations or grab coffee or juice from the drinks station. The food came out really quick after ordering. I was very satisfied with the meat lover omelet as it was packed with meat. You get to pick three breakfast meats and what cheese you want. The portion was definitely a good size, a lot of food, but you can finish it.

My sister and I wanted to check this place out after going to the brunch place previously next-door seeing they were not getting as much business. We were able to get the outside seats as requested which was perfect for people watching. Parking can be tough when it's really busy since if there isn't a meter, it is permit parking only. We started with mimosas which came with some fresh slices of oranges and was the garnish for all the dishes following. They must have used fresh squeezed juice because it was so sweet! For dishes we ordered the Corned Beef Hash with "over easy" eggs, Real Lumped Crabmeat Bene and Pumpkin Waffle with caramel walnut and banana. The corned beef hash was more like shredded and dry brisket and the over easy eggs we're more like over medium. Unfortunately, my sister was severely disappointed. My eggs Benedict however, was perfectly runny. Crab meat would have been better had they had more of a sear to provide extra crunch but taste was on point. The slice of tomato was a complementary touch. I found the waffle to be soggy by the time it touched our table, probably due to the "caramelized" walnuts and banana which were really just soaked in syrup. Taste was pleasant but not spectacular. Overall, moderate experience with great service. I could get a better Benedict at a lot of other places which was the highlight.

Everything you could want in a local breakfast diner. The service was friendly and incredibly fast. Laid back atmosphere where everyone was having a great time. We arrived at 10 am and there was only a 10 minute wait. Parking is very limited on the street though. The food was great. Classic lox bagel and French toast. Hash browns that are actually mashed potatoes. Actually pretty good. Food came out in 5 minutes. The iced coffee was meh but self serve coffee bar meant an easy fix with milk and syrups. Prices are reasonable and the portions are big.

Love the self serve coffee station. Great selections of brews. My favorite choco raspberry. My College daughter loves this place. Portions are huge n everything is fresh. We love coming here whenever we come to visit her. Eggs Benedict w perfectly poached eggs. You know how hard it is to poach an egg? Extremely hard. The mashed potatoes were sooo good. People next to us had the expresso martini, i was jealous! she said it was excellent! I would have one but I was driving home . Next time. Prices are reasonable. The cushion seats could use a makeover though. Some spots were ripped. But the food is excellent n don't need and changes .

Many people dream of a world of peace; some people dream of power. However, I am a simple man, and I dream of home fries. Succulent, slightly fried pieces of potato with just the right amount of seasoning. I do NOT dream of gray slabs of grilled mash, labeled as "home fries". As for the main dishes, why I was taken aback. I ordered Jimmy's Moroccan Eggs, while my partner ordered a breakfast burrito. Both were a dishonor to Jimmy and Mexican cuisine everywhere. Worse still, and I do not say this lightly... there was even an eggshell in my food. It ruined my appetite, if not my whole day. Heard that the sweet food was pretty good tho, and my standards are dirt low frfr. Will probably be back

The Green Omelet With egg whites

Sound Bites... Food & Fun! What an extensive menu offering so many fresh home made options for all tastes. We all had all different omelets that were packed with fresh ingredients. I loved my Green Egg white omelet with their signature home fries. We washed our meals down with freshly squeezed OJ screwdrivers. Delish! The experience was definitely enhanced by the owner Yasser! He took our order and took his time to interact and really show us a good time with a TON of personality. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

Space is good, we were seated 5 minutes after our arrival, we got the food 10 minutes from putting the order but it took them a while to come take the order. Food is delicious and portions are very good, big.

turkey club&fried this is like 7.5/10 the fries were so oily that my grubhub post nut clarity made me feel sick but I'd still smash tho

Okay, for a solo adventure I chose the bar and yes, they took me to a seat there. Looking at the menu I knew it was tapas style going in but before I could really start looking at anything the bar tender said, "or, there's a chef tasting." Okay, stop there, let's just do that and add the meat and fish option. To start was the Strawberry Fattoush - Little Gems, Cucumber, Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Pita Chips, Sumac - amazing. Next was the Warm Buttered Hummus - Basturma, Tomato, Black Olive. Still doing great! Then the Fried Mussels - Hot Peppers, Turkish Almond Tarator Sauce. Can't say I have ever had those before! The Spinach Falafel - Tahini, Beet Tzatziki, Pickles was next. Though you could roll it up, eating it that way was pointless. Back to the knife and fork. After that was the Grilled Asparagus - Sorrel Aioli, Puffed Black Rice, Bergamot Honey. Probably the most familiar looking dish of the night. Then the Sultan's Delight - Tamarind Beef, Smoky Eggplant Purée, Basil. Aamazing! Still going after that was the Swordfish - Nettle Freekah, Red Pepper Tahini, Buttermilk Fried Fiddle Heads. Then finally the Turkish-Style Profiteroles - Brown Butter Crème, Sesame Caramel Cashews, Halva with something else on the side. All of this with a Shepherds Pilsner which I believe is my first brew from Palestine. Who knew that was possible? Needless to say, the meal was quite an adventure. Definitely worth it. All amazing as was the service at the bar!

Oh, Oleana! Tucked…read moreaway in Cambridge, Oleana is a cozy Mediterranean restaurant serving small plates. My partner and I managed to snag a last-minute reservation on a Tuesday night, and even at 9 p.m. the restaurant was still lively. Between the beautiful decor and warm atmosphere, it made for a great date night spot, though it was admittedly a bit dim (apologies in advance for the photo quality!) Between the two of us, we ended up ordering quite a few dishes: Whipped Feta (4/5): This was good, though I was hoping for a stronger roasted pepper flavor. Nothing wrong with it, but it didn't quite stand out. Interestingly, we overheard the table next to us mention the same thing, so maybe this one's a bit hit or miss. Spinach Falafel (4/5): Another solid dish. It was bright, colorful, and fresh, though a little messy to eat. Our waiter rather bluntly told us to "just wrap it and bite," which caught us a little off guard, but it was good nonetheless. Fatteh (4.5/5): Our favorite appetizer of the night. The creamy roasted cauliflower paired so well with the crispy pita, and I especially loved the sweetness the onions brought to the dish. Sultan's Delight (5/5): As everyone else says, this is the one to order. The beef was incredibly tender and rich. In hindsight, I almost wish we'd had the potatoes from the Adana Kebab to eat alongside it because they would've been the perfect accompaniment. Vermont Quail Kebab (5/5): Tied with the Sultan's Delight as our favorite entrée. The quail was juicy, well-spiced, and surprisingly easy to eat. I'd absolutely order this again. Adana Kebab (4/5): By this point, I think we were simply getting full. The kebab itself was good, but not nearly as memorable as the other meat dishes. Ironically, the potatoes and peppers that came with it might have been my favorite part--they would've paired perfectly with the Sultan's Delight. Baked Alaska (4.5/5): Delicious. The toasted meringue paired wonderfully with the coconut ice cream, though we were a little mixed on the passionfruit caramel, which came across slightly burnt and more acidic than expected. After a while the meringue did become quite sweet, so we ended up pairing some with the Muhallebi. Dark Chocolate Muhallebi (3.5/5): Yes...we ordered two desserts. I was mostly drawn in by the kaymak ice cream, but the Muhallebi itself was almost completely unsweetened. I'm usually all for desserts that aren't overly sweet, but this one leaned more savory than I expected. We actually ended up adding some leftover meringue from the Baked Alaska to balance it out. Looking back, given both our appetites (and our wallets), I think we would've been perfectly happy just ordering the Baked Alaska. Overall, Oleana was a lovely spot for a date night. While it didn't quite live up to the lofty expectations I'd built up from all the praise, we still had a really enjoyable meal. Our main waiter was kind, and I appreciated that the dishes came out in rounds, giving us plenty of time to eat and chat. The meat dishes were definitely the highlights for us, but overall there's a lot to like here.

My partner loved his cocktail. Super well balanced and really unique combo of flavors. Both drinks paired well with all our food too. Zucchini pancakes (2/5) - the only miss. The pancakes were not crispy at all and ate very mushy. The carrot curry was delish but all the flavors together with the raita didn't really do it for me. White bean hummus (4/5) - amazing flavor and the little sesame ring it comes with was yummy. The texture of the hummus could have been smoother though. Sugar snaps (5/5) - perfect sweet and salty balance and really great texture from the quinoa. Good creaminess too. Octopus souvlaki (5/5) - well charred octopus and tender. The flavors were rich in flavor. Yellow split pea was a nice creamy base. Revani snack cake (5/5) - we almost didn't get dessert but glad we did! It a citrus pound cake with a pineapple glaze and a spiced macadamia crunchy topping. Served chilled. Very yummy and not too heavy. Overall very happy we tried this place. Unfortunately, my first experience did not reflect the many positive reviews. When I walked in, the first thing I was asked was "pickup?" I politely said no, that I wanted to place an order. I had to repeat myself several times, and the older woman at the counter either seemed frustrated, distracted, or maybe just having a rough day. There was little direction given to a first-time customer, and I found myself awkwardly trying to figure out where the menu board was and how the ordering process worked. Eventually, I stepped aside to look over the menu. The older woman continued helping the customers in front of me, which was completely understandable. What confused me was that the younger employee made eye contact with me, nodded toward me as if acknowledging I needed help, then asked if anyone had helped me yet. I explained that the other employee was probably about to, but needed a moment. Before I could even finish, she cut me off and said, "Oh, she can help you then," and immediately went back to scrolling on her phone while I continued standing there waiting. That was the disappointing part for me. If you ask who's next at the register, acknowledge someone is waiting, and another employee is already busy helping others, it creates a poor first impression when the available employee chooses not to assist and instead goes back to their phone. It came across as a lack of urgency and customer service. Maybe it was just an off day. I'm not writing this to attack the business because the food may very well be excellent, and clearly many people love this place. But first impressions matter, especially for new customers walking in excited to try your establishment for the first time. I truly hope the service experience improves because I wanted to like this place a lot more than I did today.

Lavash Grille - Cambridge, MA Total Score: 9/10…read more Lavash Grille in Cambridge delivers a Turkish and Mediterranean dining experience that feels both vibrant and deeply comforting. This is the kind of place that works beautifully for group outings, thanks to the big, long tables that make it easy to settle in, share plates, and actually enjoy the social side of dining. The sampler platters and mixed grill dishes are absolutely the way to go. Portions are generous, the variety is excellent, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well balanced. The hummus and baba ganoush were both standouts, packed with flavor and a great start to the meal. One of the biggest highlights was the manti. These delicate, bite sized dumplings with yogurt sauce were pure comfort food and easily one of the most memorable dishes of the night. The haydari (similar to Tzatziki) was another favorite. Rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, it's the kind of dip you keep reaching for long after you're full. For something a little different, the traditional Turkish coffee made with hot sand is such a fun experience and well worth ordering. Ending the meal with coffee and rice pudding felt like the perfect, cozy finish. On a practical note, I was genuinely happy there is some parking here, which is always a welcome bonus in Cambridge.
