I stopped here for a quick lunch after shopping. It was tasty and reasonably priced for the amount of food. I got a bowl with the extra hot sauce and it was super spicy which I liked.

This is a decent fast casual option for Assembly row. You order the food at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. I recommend the platter as it is slightly cheaper than ordering by itself. (It comes with sides for the platters.) The original platter ($45ish) easily fed three people. It says it comes with two sides, but actually, the rice is an additional bonus side. The chicken itself is okay and the mild is actually still spicy for me. I like the garlic sauce that comes with the chicken. The perimayo corn is nothing to look at, but it is decent. I like the yucca fries as it is different from the normal french fries. Service is sufficient and prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a bathroom inside the restaurant for customer use.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped by Tribos Peri Peri Chicken and enjoyed our meal! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was prompt, and the seating was suitable for our small group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highlights - Flavorful burgers, Sandwich, Boneless Lamb rice bowl. - Prompt and friendly service. - Adequate parking available at the nearby shopping center. Areas for Improvement - Prices were a bit higher than expected.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came for Monday lunch and other than the two outdoor table, the restaurant was very quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We placed the order at the counter and picked our seat. The food was brought out shortly. I got the medium spice level chicken quarter and it had just a hint of spice. I would recommend going higher in spice level if you like spicy food. The yuca fries were fried perfectly except I forgot to mention I wanted it with peri peri powder. But just dipping it in the chicken sauce was delicious too so I didn't mind after all! Would be back to try the wings or the lamb chop.

The closest thing you'll find to Nandos in Boston! Tribos Peri Peri is tucked away in Assembly Row and easily something you can miss. My partner and I decided to check it out and were impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You order at the counter and can choose from the plentiful amount of indoor (or outdoor) seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We decided to split their "All for One" platter, which felt like not an overwhelming amount of food for 2. For our wings we chose the medium sauce and for the chicken we chose mild. Our side of choice was the peri peri fries. The char on the chicken was delicious and the sauce was super flavorful. Honestly I didn't taste much of a difference between mild and medium, but it was a good amount of flavor and spice. The fries were delicious and paired really well with the white garlic sauce offered at the table. This was very tasty and I'd definitely come back for a quick, fulfilling bite to eat if I was in the area.

As a fan of Nandos I was excited to see a peri peri chicken establishment nearby at Assembly and Tribos does have solid peri peri chicken. I split a half chicken with wings and 2 sides with a friend and we devoured the chicken. We asked for medium which was honestly spicier than we both expected. The darker meat was the star, the breast was a bit dry, and the sauce had lots of spice and lemony flavor. We had rice and the peri mayo corn as sides and I enjoyed the rice with the chicken but would skip the peri mayo corn. The corn tasted like it was from a can and the peri mayo wasn't very flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was fairly clean, and the staff was nice but spacey.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid for an extra side of sauce and the employee said they would bring it to out table. 10 min later no sauce so I went up and asked for it and they said "oh we looked for you but didn't see you, sorry". Uhm, we never left, and there was 2 occupied tables in the whole space. It is a bit pricey and the service was a bit spacey and slow, but I would return when I get a craving for peri peri chicken.

Unique dining option in Assembly Row but on the pricey side for what you get. I came here with a 10% off coupon I got at Riverfest last weekend. I was told the coupon was only good for that day despite it not saying so which was disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of dining space both inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Menu on the screens is hard to read but they have paper menus by the register.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I dined in and it took 15-20 minutes to get my food. To be fair, it was a busy Sunday afternoon with a lot of dine-in and takeout orders, but I didn't expect to wait that long for what I ordered. I ordered the Tribos hot chicken sandwich and a regular side of peri peri fries which was about $20. The chicken piece was large and the sauce was flavorful. There was a slice of American cheese on the sandwich, which struck me as odd, as well as pickles and slaw. I think it could have used a little more slaw to offset the spiciness. The fries were hot and crispy with a nice seasoning. Overall my first visit did not live up to my expectations but I would be willing to give them another try.

This is a great new addition to Assembly Row! If you're familiar with Nando's, this is exactly that, but a lot more flavourful. The chicken is grilled to perfection, it's moist and juicy. The sauce is tangy. We got a platter which was great for two people and came with half chicken, wings, rice and an extra side of your choice. For $25.99 that was a steal! I didn't take any photos because the food was SO good, phone did not eat first. The staff is very friendly. Great for families. All their food is halal and they also have a whole waffle menu as well. The rice, although a side, was phenomenal! It tasted like pulao. Only thing, the masala tea is not to Pakistani standards, but hey, I'm pretty sure this is the only masala chai you'll get in Assembly. 10/10 will be back!

Went to Tribos Chicken twice, and the first round felt like I entered a spice dimension I wasn't prepared for. I ordered the spicy chicken, thinking I had a superhero-level tolerance--turns out, I'm more of a spice sidekick. Second time, I played it safe with medium takeout order, and it was a flavor rollercoaster rather than a fire-breathing dragon encounter. The chicken itself is top-notch, but note to Tribos: throw in a side note or something on the menu about the chicken order including a side of rice. I found out that it comes with rice--should've saved my extra rice order for dessert. Sure, it's a tad pricey for the portion. I spent about $30 the first time (I got a side of rice because I didn't know it was included and "half-chicken") and ~ $24 the second. I like that you can order online and pick up when the order is ready. I work around the area and this is very convenient for my schedule. Overall, Tribos Peri Peri chicken satisfied my expectations. If you're into poultry pyrotechnics, just be ready to shell out a bit.

    Lamb wrap

Got the mild spice lamb wrap. Super full of flavorful meat. The wrap was also so super soft and good. The mac and cheese bites were not bad, super crunchy and hit the spot but could be improved on. Over all a great place to grab and go Tried the rice and lettuce from the paneer rice bowl with lemon herb dressing. Didn't particularly like either but also they weren't bad

As I was waiting for my food, I noticed a common theme in this comfortable and inviting place. People were smiling, even dads. The patrons are multicultural so it was so lovely to see how people of different backgrounds come together at Tribos to enjoy the same foods. This place is clean and is set up as casual but looks classy. It is simply amazing. They offer halal food and is a mixture of African, Portuguese, Southeast Asian flavors. The quarter leg dark meat is so juicy! They also have Gaby's Crepes and Waffles in there. A great way to end meal or even as a meal itself!

    Lamb bowl

Honestly this place needs more hype. This place serves one of a kind spicy peri peri chicken and other meats and I really enjoy their unique flavor profile. I got the lamb bowl in the extra hot peri peri lamb. For me, I love spicy and this was just the right level of spicy that is flavorful and not deathly. The lamb is beautifully charred and the peri peri marinade is incredibly delicious! The lamb was a bit tough in some areas and hard to knife through. Great big portions in the rice, lamb and salad. The salad was super fresh, crispy, and evenly coated in light dressing. The rice was super flavorful, I have no idea what kind of rice it is though. The star of the show was the white garlic sauce condiment that they have on the tables. The sauce was just chef's kiss I could literally drink it! I needed the sauce on every bite of my lamb! Absolutely great unique flavors that need to be appreciated and recognized more. This place do seem somewhat understaffed, the two girls working seemed to be all over the place and stressed out. They were friendly and provided good service. Lots of seating area and are cleaned immediately.

She'd mapped out a perfect little afternoon and evening, starting with an indoor market that was full of local art and vintage charm. By the time we wrapped up there, we were hungry. With so many restaurant options around, we chanced it and landed here. The moment you step inside, you're hit with that scent of garlic and seafood. My kid and I gave each the 'look' that said: this is it! Casa Portugal is inviting and decorated in soft blues+whites giving a coastal feel and the service equally matched the energy perfectly: attentive and kind. Our plump and juicy shrimp in tomato sauce starter was rich and full of garlic. It was the kind of appetizer where you find yourself wanting extra bread just to sip up that garlicky sauce. For our main plates, my kid picked the grilled octopus, and I went with the sea bream. The octopus was "like butta," and had that perfect char on the outside but silky inside. My sea bream was nice and I particularly liked that they got rid of the head and tail for me. Both our man plates by the way- had a nice amount of potatoes and steamed vegetables. And here's another part that really stood out- pricing. For the quality and freshness of the seafood, everything felt reasonable. All in all, come to Casa P. for a good meal. From the moment you walk in and smell that garlic in the air to that last bite of seafood, it really delivers on every level.

We started off with a pitcher of sangria, as did many other couples around us. The sangria was delicious, one of the better ones I've had. Fruitful and sweet, very refreshing. They bring bread to your table to start, it was very good especially with some butter and olive oil on top. I do wish it were toasted or warmed but it was still fresh. We also ordered the appetizer, Chouriço Assado no Fogareiro (Grilled Portuguese Sausage). This came to us straight off the flame and was nice and hearty. I ordered off of the specials menu, Bacalhau com natas (Cod with Portuguese cream). It was very yummy, fresh fish and a light cream. It came with salad but I asked for rice. Instead of substituting the waitress gave me both and charged an extra $5...oh well. Salad was good and rice too. My boyfriend got the Filetes de Peixe (Fried fish filet with salad, rice & potatoes). He enjoyed his too! Those potatoes were yummy. We chose fish and most of the tables around us did too. We skipped on dessert although all looked great. This place was quite charming inside and definitely is an awesome place to enjoy dinner. It was busy so we were lucky to snag a table as it's not big inside. We did feel as this cooking was very homemade and although super tasty and lovely inside, I wouldn't consider it fine dining. I would revisit!

The broth was warm, flavorful, and refreshing. The initial notes are the sweetness of onions and bell peppers, followed by the delicate aroma of cilantro, leaving a clean taste impression. The whitefish fillets are tender and flavorful, yet still retain a subtle chewiness. The Pirão sauce, made with the fish broth and tapioca starch, was rich and thick, enhancing both the saltiness and umami, even reminiscent of Cantonese style abalone sauce. The two flavors were distinct yet complementary, a true delight with rice--though fresh, higher-quality Thai jasmine rice would be better. The earthenware pot, bearing the marks of time, kept the food warm; the portion was also very generous, perfect for sharing. I ended up taking some home for a second meal. Flan: Although I was quite full, the deliciousness of the moqueca piqued my interest in trying dessert. The pudding had a smooth and delicate texture, unlike the often sticky flaky texture of supermarket flans. The egg flavor wasn't strong, while the caramel syrup was rich and smooth, with an irresistible initial bitterness followed by a delightful sweetness. Plus, the syrup was generous, making it wonderful to coat every slice of cake in it. No wonder it's their signature dessert. Hot Sauce: The homemade hot sauce was highly recommended by my server. It didn't look very spicy, but it was far beyond my tolerance. However, I must admit it was incredibly delicious, with a refreshing citrus flavor and a smooth, emulsified texture alongside the spiciness, creating a very rich flavor profile. Being unable to handle spice is a real shame in its presence. People recently wondered why Boston got nearly entirely shut out by the Michelin people (only 1…read moreone-star was given); among the places that were said to be in the running was Amar, located in a lovely space in the Raffles Hotel. We have been there twice, and I now will put my brief review. The take-home: if Boston, Raffles, and Amar think they deserve a star, they really need to up their game. I will get one thing out of the way very quickly: the food is spectacular and the wine service was excellent; these are not the reason for my comment. The simple truth folks is that a dining experience is not JUST about the food. It's about ambiance--which includes service and atmosphere, and that is where Amar just falls apart. It would be wrong to not recognize that the individual servers were quite nice and attentive. We had an 830 pm seating--hardly late in most cities, though one might suggest that in Boston that is on the later side (it really isn't folks). Regardless, by 1030-11 pm, the dining room was nearly empty on a Saturday night. At that moment, a server came over to us to alert us the kitchen was closing--which was obviously them saying "get out"--but soon thereafter the smell of cleaning fluid filled the air, and we realized there was a person cleaning the tables--with a cleaning cart, complete with mops, brooms, and cleaning fluid in the middle of the dining room. While people were seated and eating. This is a restaurant with a pricey menu and wine list, and I cannot remember a time when dining in a fine restaurant when something like this EVER happened. We found it funny at first, but while trying to eat our dessert and drink our final cocktails the smell of ammonia really ruined the final experience. In the end, once served with the bill, it was not funny. The bill was around $1000 for 4 people including a nice bottle of wine. So: expensive, nice individual service, good food. But the lack of awareness about how diners paying for an expensive meal feel being rushed, and then the utterly ludicrous presence of a cleaning cart in the middle of the dining room while people were still eating (I posted a photo) makes Amar a laughable memory but nowhere I'd go back to.
