After the system installed by a different high desert audio shop stopped working (sub and amp blew out) I was looking for another trusted shop to help me get back up and running. It turns out the other shop didn't set up the amp properly causing it to fry (see picture). I waited too long to address it because I work very long hours down below and the warranty lapses so I was out of luck at the old shop. Basically for about half the price that I paid for the bad setup, I was able to get some quality subs and an amp installed. They leveled and tested everything and it sounds absolutely amazing! Every time I come here they take great care of me. Ike, the owner is very honest with his prices and will never sell you anything you don't need to complete your stereo set up. Most recently I went in to have my alarm looked at by Eddie and he asked if I had the original owners manual because he might be able to reprogram it if I did. Unfortunately I did not have it so I opted to just get a new one. What impressed me was that they did not try sell me a new alarm system, but try to fix my current one for free first. I shopped around for the best deal and this was it hands down. I had 4 speakers, 1 subwoofer and a 5 channel amp installed by these great people and my sound in my truck is AMAZING. I could not believe my ears. I fell in love with my system. The owner is such a great gentleman and an amazing guy. The installers did a fantastic job. I have no doubt that if I ever need help with my system that they will check it out for me at no cost. I doubt that I will have any issues but if I do, that is the last thing I'm worried about cause i know they will take good care if me. We went in there. First they didnt have their air conditioning on. It was almost 100 degress that day. Second no soap or paper towels in the filthy restroom. They had 2 cages of canaries that looked near death and the cages were filthy. Third.. We went in there to ask what they charge to put in a CB. Most places charge $40...they wanted $100...lots of red flags going in there....now I know why. read more

Great price, decent customer service, mediocre work. I brought in my wife's car to get 9 windows tinted and an alarm put in. Total price $260 cash! Way better pricing than all other shops in town. The tint has quite a few bubbles in it. Mike told me it was in the window not the tint job. I never saw bubbles in my window before they put on the tint so this just seemed like an excuse to get rid of me. I was told it would take three and a half hours to complete the job. It took from 11:00 am to about 4:30 pm for all of the work to get done. Mike wanted me to pay before I inspected the work which I refused to do. After being in his shop for so long waiting, seeing the bubbles, and hearing the excuse I just wanted to get out of there. They say there is a lifetime warranty on their tint, but I never received anything in writing stating it and Mike couldn't produce anything for me when I asked. Their lifetime warranty seems to be a verbal contract. Not ideal. Hopefully they will back up their "lifetime warranty" if I ever need it. Overall you get what you pay for. It was cheep, looks decent, and ought to last a few years at least. read more

Descent installation however there is a definite disconnect between the owner and the installers. Owner needs to understand the workload of the installers and task them appropriately. He asked me to come down to get my car fixed but the installer already had 3 jobs ahead of mine. Store also does not present a professional appearance. Owner routinely smokes inside the store and will ask customers to watch the store while he runs to the bank. I went to get my stereo fixed after several problems with the install. During the most recent re-visit the owner asked me to wait in the back with the installer, likely because he did not want an upset customer in the waiting area. I needed the windows tinted on 2 brand new cars. This business has the most horrible customer service ever. Their hours indicate they open at 9am, they didn't open until 915. The owner of the business did not address me even though I was standing at the counter, he addressed my friend who was male standing by the front door. I asked to see samples of tint quality and color and he first couldn't find the samples, then said he had some and would be right out with them. My husband purchased a stereo plus installation for me for Christmas. It turns out, the older gent at the store sold him a stereo that would not work for my car, unless I purchased additional parts. When I asked for a refund (product in sealed box and with receipt), the old guy would not refund my money. As a woman, I felt I was not being respected. Stay away from this place. Burglars & Bandits. Brought my truck in for amp/wiring speaker install. Price was cheap! Now i know why. Had 2 amps tech advised one was blown and brought me in the back to show me sparks coming off the battery. And advised the amp was no good. Anyone can make sparks come off a battery. Then he installed the second amp. No bass?? Said amp and subs were bad. Left there after never having problems with the second amp and went straight to On The Go Audio, en route noticed a loud hissing coming from my cd deck which was never present before!! Upon my arrival to on the go audio and inspection by the tech informed me the amp wires had been installed incorrectly!! They then tested my other amp and said it was in fact fried but could not say how it happened but they did show me where it was melted in the power input. Hmm I THOUGHT MAYBE FROM SOMEONE INCORRECTLY HOOKING IT UP AND CAUSING SPARKS UNDER THE HOOD MAYBE??Maybe when they showed me the battery sparking at Sound city2??? On the go audio then tested my subs and advised they were fine (All this Free of Charge!!) when i asked them about the hissing noise they advised they would need to go through all the wiring to make sure it was done correctly and would have to charge me. Unfortunately I could not afford to have that done at that time after wasting money at sound city for nothing!! ON THE GO DISCONNECTED THE AMP FOR ME FOR FREE TO AVOID A POSSIBLE FIRE... I returned to sound city to let them listen to the hissing and Advise Mike of how his tech incorrectly hooked up my amp outlets. Mike advised it was because the amp was bad when they wired it with the deck that why there was a hissing sound. Mike then called the tech out at which point the tech advised he never touched my deck so no noise should be coming from it and accused me of having the hissing noise before coming in for the install which is completely untrue. Mike then proceeded to tell me the noise was because the amp was bad and once they disconnected it the noise would go away. I advised mike and hos tech the amp was disconnected already and showed them. Mike advised I should pull my truck around back so they could attempt to fix it?? (Or destroy it more) At which point I declined after being accused of lying about the hissing problem. I then asked the tech and Mike how i was suppose to know they didn't burn up the first amp??? The tech and mike became belligerent, The tech told me to f#ck off and that he showed me the amp was bad when he was putting the wire on the battery and it sparked. I THEN ADVISED THE TECH ANYONE CAN PUT A WIRE TO A BATTERY AND MAKE IT ARC. The tech became irate and approached closer to me making me uncomfortable and accused me of calling him a lair and told me to fu@Ck off again and stormed off into the building. Mike then proceeded to accuse me of calling his tech a liar and became very disgruntled. I advised him I would be writing this review and reporting him to the BBB at which point he advised " GO THE FU@# AHEAD WE HAVE 100s of great reviews 1 bad one wont hurt, and refused to refund my money. read more

Unsatisfactory Service!!! Went in because i was having an issue with my car radio/speakers. Once my speakers would reach a certain level of sound would pop and crack the sound therefore thought my car needed new speakers. So i go into the shop where working were sitting out front smoking cigs. The workers didn't even check out my current speakers but rather just sold me quick on a set. Then told me to come back in an hour since they had people in front of me, which was fine. So i go back get my speakers installed and waited about an hour. once my car is ready, the worker said that the speakers i already paid for and installed wasn't the issue and that i needed a new radio and that they could install one for 100$. When i asked if my old speakers were fine and working he " didn't know " and continued to try to get me to buy a new radio. i refused to give them any more money/time. I didn't even get my old speakers back and left in the same issue i had in the beginning. read more

This is the worst sound shop I have ever been too! They hooked my sound system up for $160 and told me that my amp would push my sub but then my amp blows because my sub has to much power. Then I start having electrical problems and I came back 3 times and they told me to come back another day. Now I'm finally in and they want me to pay for the labor and new wiring that they put in. I'm not a reviewer, but I had such an incredible experience, I had to share. I went to the location on outer Bear Valley (x-street Cypress) When I called for my appointment, I was professionally greeted, the alarm and tint package I requested was explained to me and I was invited to come to the store and look at all they had to offer. When I got there I was warmly greeted by the owner and staff. They took the time to show me everything available, patiently and knowledgeably answered all my questions, and gave me several no pressure choices. They took the time to ask me questions and to make sure I got precisely what would work best for me and my price range. The tint job is beautiful. No bubbles or wrinkles. They took the time to make sure I knew the differences of the grades, how to care for the tint and they did all the windows as opposed to just the back that several other places I'd talked to said was standard. The alarm works exactly as it should and the tech even corrected a problem the car has had since I've had it that has been unresolved by the dealer every time I've had it in there. I was told exactly what I was getting, exactly how much it was going to cost, and what to expect. Very honest and friendly. I highly recommend this business. I will be returning. read more
