Z Autosound is my go-to -- for real. Let me just say... I never write reviews, but this place? Deserves it. The first time I came in, I got a touchscreen installed. I went with the cheaper option (my choice), and honestly... it wasn't for me. It kept having issues, but I knew from the start that cheaper options sometimes come with drawbacks. NEVER the shop's fault. So I came back, and they were so chill and understanding. They told me they could either replace it at no cost or let me upgrade and just pay the difference. Super fair. I went with the upgrade, and I'm sooo glad I did. The new touchscreen is ! It's their best one and totally worth it. And I financed it super easily--with no interest if you pay it off on time. That's love right there! While I was at it, I got my windows tinted and some new speakers installed. The tint? Looks clean as hell. The speakers? Man... better than the ones in the brand new Kia. No joke. The sound is crisp, deep, and just hits different. I actually look forward to driving now just to vibe with my music What really makes this place special though? The people. The owner is ALWAYS there, helping customers out, taking care of business, and being real. He's professional but also just a good human--understands that life happens and works with you. Let me start off by saying that JD working in the front was nothing but professional and helpful. So I brought in my car a couple weeks ago to get after market tail lights installed. After they advised me that they were the wrong year and did not fit my car I decided to get my front windshield tinted. Once they were done I drove off and realized that they forgot to put my rear view mirror back on my car. This should have been the 1st sign. I went back and they put it back on. I work nights so I didn't notice anything wrong with the windshield tint, the 1st day I really look at my windshield in the day I noticed several and I mean several voids/light spots throughout the tint. The correct tail lights show up and I go back to get them installed. I advised JD about my tint and he has them replace it at no charge. My lights get installed and I'm happy. I head home and the next day I realized that they didn't give me back my original tail lights which for sure they had to have known but I get it. People get busy. Before I head over to get them I look at my tint really good. It again has voids and even blemishes but at this point it's so frustrating. I had my car tinted previously elsewhere and it looks perfect. When I get to the shop I'm just frustrated and want my tail lights so don't even mention this and decide I'll just get this fixed at the place I originally went when I get a chance (yes I'll take the loss and lesson learned) I advise about my missing tail lights. I was told to just drive to the back garage and they'll give them to me. When I get there I get the box with my tail lights and head home. Now at this point I call my buddy who had already paid me for my original tail lights for his car and tell him I'm on my way to drop them off. When I go into the trunk to get the tail lights to give him I realize that one of them is completely cracked. Now obviously they knew this happened and didn't mention it when it happened or the next day when I showed up to pick them up. At this point that's about 4 things. My windshield tint x2 my rear view mirror and now my broken tail lights. I get 2 mistake or 2 but 4? And nobody even mentioned anything at all to me. If I would have just been told something like they were difficult getting out and we accidentally broke them i would have been happy with that and moved on. I don't complain just to complain. I would definitely never ever recommend this shop to anyone I didn't reach out to the shop again about my tint or tail lights. At this point I'm extremely frustrated and just want to put it behind me. JD actually gave me a call right after I posted this. As I stated previously he seems like a stand up guy and this 100% shows that. He offered to replace my windshield tint and make it right again. He also offered to replace the broken tail light. Obviously when someone reaches out to you and makes things right it goes a long way. I should have called him directly before posting this as I know he would have made it right. I had to get an interlock device installed and they screwed my car up and it wouldn't run after about 5 months...I had 7 more months to go. And they kept telling me it wasn't the interlock. So I believed them and kept having my car towed down there to calibrate the device. No one would do anything about my car not running. But they kept taking my money! Telling me I needed a certificate to give the DMV! Bullshit!!! Telling me I had to pay them $280 to remove device and that money went to DMV! Bullshit! At the end they wanted over $500 to remove. I called mandatory actions unit at the DMV and they informed me I didn't need anything. I could walk right into the DMV the day after the date I finish and have the restriction removed and they will send me my new license no charge! So I did and they did.... Guess what??? I removed that fucking device myself and my car started right up!!!! I hate lying muthafuckers!!! Z Autosound is full of shit lied straight to my face! What a bunch of scammers!!!!!! read more

ALERT ALERT!!!!! We purchased a sound system there for a truck and we're very happy with the product, install and overall service. We returned the very next day and purchased the recommended "ACUMEN Dash Cam System". Very cool and advanced camera system (Front and Rear). Has all the bells and whistles for recording. Very programmable to fit your needs. The install was VERY clean and no wires dangling or wires that are exposed. The camera attaches easily onto your existing mirror. I finally installed the ACUMEN PHONE APP and wow wow wow a 1,000 wow's! I am now able to immediately download wirelessly any footage to my phone. The system records everything when the vehicle is on. The footage is automatically saved in my photos. What a great device especially in todays world of accidents, hit and runs and NASCAR driving. I brought my car to Z Auto sound to get my windows tinted.. i sent a message on yelp to get a quote.. They responded really fast.. they asked for my make and model of my car and they gave me a really good quote and explained to me what kind of window film they use and the guarantees they provide. I brought my car in and they did exactly as they said.. Windows came out looking great.. I did have to take my car back a month later to fix a couple small tint issues.. ( The tint issues had nothing to do with what they did.. ) When i brought my car in they had absolutely no problems re tinting those 2 small windows.. This is the kind of company that I will definitely bring my car back too.. it's refreshing to know there is a good business out there that takes care of there customers... I deleted my original review. Owner was overly nice too me making me think i was getting a good deal. He overcharged me i guess since im young he decided to rip me off. He brainwashed me making me think i was getting a good deal by "upgrading" me with a bigger sub yet he installed a 1,000 watt 1 channel shitty amp that overheats. When i went back to confront him all he did was adjust the knobs on the amp which makes the sub useless. After that the owner tells me for more money he'll upgradre the amp. Why didnt he just upgrade my amp as well if he knew it would overheat .He also didnt install the two front speakers like we originally agreed. Instead he gave me tweeters which we all know are cheaper in price than door speakers What a complete joke to rip me off like that. Im never going back there again. RIP OFF ARTIST. read more

So initially when I purchased my system I told the Owner J.D that I wanted a whole new system and the cash wasn't a problem I want the best. When it was done after 8 hours I picked it up. They screwed the amp to the cab of my classic truck putting holes in it with dry wall screws of all things. My seats where missing 2 mounting bolts, the trim was bent and not put back right either. Then a few weeks later I brought it back because the subs where blown,with the settings they put mind you. Then the amp blew a Fuze then it was static threw out the system like a bad ground. They said it was normal but its not. Then came back again because the kicker flush mount rt 12s where blown again. At thus point j.d tells me that because all the mishaps and inconvenience he said he's going to upgrade my subs to the new kicker flush mounts with 650 rms instead of the rts at 400 rms. But I got to wait until they arrive. Long lying story later I never got upgraded. JD says ill replace your subs and amp if thats what it takes. It never happened. I was lyed to constantly with a new reason why He couldn't hold his word as a man. Ou should see the wiring job I got. Wires loose every where. You can totally see them just flopped in there like spaghetti. Never fixed my seats or trim and said we ain't doing shit or well loose out. So he only wanted to give me one sub when both where bad. But JD and his manager said he'll give me both if I leave a 5 star review. You can't believe a fuckin word they say down there. Constant leading you on. I spent over 2k getting my systems installed and each time was a new issue. Either it shuts off constantly or bows subs at normal levels. DO NOT GO HERE EVER IF YOU WANT A GOOD JOB WITH HONESTY DONE. END THE END I thought u was being upgraded to the new subs because of my review promise. I go and look and guess what. There the FUCKIN SHITTY RT 12S AGAIN. AND HIS MANAGER SAYS TO ME OH WELL THATS WHAT IT IS. IVE SENT OVER 10K WORTH O BUISNESS TO j.d but that doesn't matter to people who lye cheat and steal. Go to California sound. Could not be more impressed with this place. Originally went to Best Buy and between the two stores up here they didn't have anyone who knew anything. Appointments were 2 weeks out. I needed to install a stereo and speakers in my daughter's car before she left for college Monday. Emailed them and told them my budget. Jason (owner?) recommended actually keeping her existing stereo since it had the features we needed, and they installed 4 amazing sounding speakers (Focal component speakers are awesome) and an amp to power them (built in amps are weak) and they kept in the requested budget. They even fixed an annoying rattle in her back deck. This was cheaper and faster (next day) than Best Buy quoted for lesser speakers that weren't even component speakers. The difference between component and coaxial is night and day. Thanks for making my daughter's long drive ahead way more enjoyable fellas!!! read more

Updating my review after my second and final experience with Z Auto... (previous review is still below) called and made an appointment for 10 am today (7/17) for multiple reasons - my stereo literally slides out of the compartment, my blinkers immediately stopped working as soon as I pulled out of their parking lot after they half ass rigged my led lights in, only one headlight worked and I was scheduled to get my 22" light bar installed that I ordered from JD previously... I pull in, JD is not there, the assistant manager Sal greets me has no idea of my appointment asks me to get picked up because he said it would take 4-5 hours to complete (whereas JD promised I would be in & out within an hour). We work out an agreement that I would just take the light bar home and they would fix my headlights so I could be in & out like I need to be (I'm moving out of state tonight). Sal gets my lights fixed (or so he says, they aren't fixed) and pulls the light bar out to find they ordered the wrong size (it won't fit in the grill) so I just ask for a refund. I wait over an hour for JD to arrive, he processes my refund and that's that. I looked at my bank account - he didn't refund me the full amount for HIS mistake, I pull into a parking lot notice only one blinker is working and guess what now?! MY HEADLIGHTS DONT EVEN COME ON AT ALL. Seriously terrible service after they got the initial chunk of change out of me & found out I was moving seemed like nothing mattered. Or was it the fact that I'm a girl and I'm easily taken advantage of? Hmm.. idk. But there are plenty Of other stereo shops in the high desert, id suggest everyone to avoid this one at all costs. Now that I'm rushing around trying to get headlights that will work because they didn't use the correct ones in the first place and messed with the wiring, before I drive half way across the country tonight. -previous review- JD & his crew are the best in the business. I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to car audio and JD took over an hour to simplify everything until he was confident I understood & was satisfied with what we were going to put in my truck. I came in right before closing and his customer service was on point. He was able to get me in for a full system and a couple other add ons the next day. JD worked with me on my budget and absolutely went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. His crew was also very helpful and they got my truck done really promptly given everything I had done to it (subs, amp, head, back up cam & headlights) Any questions I had along the way they answered with knowledge and if I didn't understand they simplified it for me. I won't ever go anywhere else now & I can't wait to come back for more! They do more than just audio as well, I just ordered a light bar & will be ordering a remote start as well. We also discussed new wheels, tires and lift kit for my truck. These guys make you feel right at home and they deserve way more than five stars! read more

When I went in asking for prices JD kept saying he was going to hook me up with a deal however I kept asking for prices and rather than giving me prices he just kept saying he'll give me a special. Maybe he meant well, but it led to a lot of miscommunication issues when it came dow to signing the lease. Also, I went in with my boyfriend and the whole time I was asking questions he kept talking to my boyfriend as if it was my boyfriends car when I was the one paying money. Also, when they did do work on my car it was very sloppy and unprofessional. They left trash, wires, and installation papers all in my car. Not only that but they also were rude and damaged my door and didn't put my car back together. I wish I could give them no stars. The only reason they get one star is because SAL was great!
