I was referred to 3 Renton area Body Shops by our insurance carrier after a minor accident (completely my fault) at a fuel station nearly 400 miles from home, leaving my vehicle drive-able but with damage to the rear-end. On a Thursday morning after returning home I called their number. Their customer service was top notch. Jennica Walsh, their front desk administrator and phone receptionist, couldn't be more friendly, courteous, and helpful. I was told to bring the car in at my convenience for a survey and estimate. I was able to bring our Honda Accord in the next morning. I met Cathy Kirkland, the estimator, who handled our repair. After she surveyed and photoed our vehicle which took about 5 minutes I asked about getting parts. She informed me she didn't think it would take long, but we could keep the car until they had parts in hand. She wasn't wrong, she emailed the next day stating they would have the new bumper that afternoon. I made an appointment to bring the car in Monday morning. When I dropped the car off around 11am Monday, I asked if they could have the bumper painted and the car ready to pick up by the end of business Thursday. She said she would try. Cathy called each afternoon with a progress report. Around 2:30pm Thursday she called to let us know the car would be ready in about an hour. We were very anxious to get the car back on that day as it took a lot of stress out of my wife needing to take her 93 year old mother to 2 medical appointments on Friday. Besides going above and beyond regarding our scheduling needs, they get my 5 stars for making the estimate visit quick and available on a drop-in basis. And for not requiring a drive-able vehicle to be surrendered until any visible parts were in hand . First, this place is pretty busy, they also repair fleet vehicles. My car did take a while to get repaired, but a lot of that time was waiting on parts. Office staff is friendly and professional, and they are always quick to get back to you if they miss your call. My car was repaired and honestly it looks brand new. I was looking for a shop to work on my electric car and was refereed to Sound Collision by the service department at Sound Ford. So I called Sound Collision and talked with Greg. He scheduled an appointment to get my car fixed. I brought my car in at 9am on Tuesday and had a price quote in less then 10 minutes. The estimated price shocked me it was lower than I got from my insurance company's body shop. So I left my car with Greg he gave me a real nice loaner at no charge. I wanted to give them four stars, but really when it comes to body shops, four stars is really five stars, and this place is seriously the best. I've used them twice, and both times they have been affordable and speedy. Their office is nothing fancy and they don't make a huge attempt at surface-level customer service, but they don't hide anything, there are no gimmicks, they will get your car done quickly and do the job right. I have yet to feel cheated by them; and getting cheated by another body shop is what brought me to them in the first place. The first time they were able to get me in two days later (and had me out within an hour) and the second time they took my car same day and took two days (including the time to order the parts). They are super messy, my car stayed there for one month and a half, they never gave me a clear situation about my car, the estimate changed every day, then one day they said the guy who painted died, and after that was one month to get a new guy, I had to pay from my pocket the rented car, because insurance just gives 30 days only. No discount or anything to help, they are too messy. read more

I was told the repair to my car would take two weeks. When I called on the date they said the car would be ready. I was told that a wrong part had been delivered and it would be a couple of days. Two weeks later they finished the repairs, after I had made several inquiries. Sometimes the response during this time bordered on rudeness. To add insult to extended delay, I received a toll bill for time my car was in their shop. I cannot fathom why they take the car across 520 or through the 99 tunnel. they have had our vehicle since early February 2023 and still have it and it is March 27th!!!! they blame insurance but never called us to tell us there is a hold up. When we call them nobody ever knows what the stat is and say they will call back but nobody ever calls back. I would not go back to this place. they called and said the car was ready. the new pan Al had a dent in it. the drive side had a new very long mark from a door hitting it. one panel was never fixed. window molding didn't sit right...so we are still waiting on our car. read more

After a disappointing morning at Abra Auto Body (I made an appointment 2 weeks prior, when I got there they said I never had an appointment in their system and it would be another week to get me in their schedule. WTF?) I called my insurance in frustration and they connected me with Sound Collision Center. Tracy Fassett told me over the phone I could drive over ASAP and get an estimate the same day. After estimating my car, he said I could bring it in tomorrow to get started on repairs. So... Monday, got an estimate. Tuesday, brought my car in to get fixed. Friday, car repairs were done! When I went to get my car back, they explained everything they fixed. I looked at it when I got home and my Camry looked good as new to me. I also appreciate how they matched the clear coat white paint because the white (windchill pearl) I had on my car is different than others. I'm SO IMPRESSED by their customer service. And how fast, friendly and professional they were. This will definitely be my go to auto body shop or I'll tell my fam/friends if they need a repair to go here!!! I'm very impressed with the team here. Everyone was friendly and responsive. Mike took ownership of my customer repair service from the first phone call to waving goodbye. My 2013 Ford Cmax door panel has crap connectors to hold it against the metal door, and my tantrum child kicking it busted several of the connectors... causing door to stick when opening. Mike ordered a new panel and when it came in he emailed me to schedule service. I was done in less than an hour, even after he told me the part received was for the wrong side of the car. He actually problem solved the issue and replaced all the connectors, so the door was secure again and my kids could get out of driver side when dropping off for school. He understood how important it was get that door unstuck, because it's not safe to exit from the passenger side of the car. Bonus... it costs way less to repair than replace, like less than $100 vs. over $400 replace. How many shops would do that vs. reorder the door part in order to replace? I don't know many, so I'm sticking with Sound Collision. My only issue was finding parking. I think they need a bigger shop! :) read more

When I got into an accident, I immediately called my car dealership to see how I can get my car fixed. They referred me to Sound Collision which was nearby so I gave them a ring. I took my car here as well as one other body shop to compare quotes. Replacement parts were reasonable...but it was the first time I've ever seen the average pricing for labor costs. Wow! Despite my surprise, both places generally charged around the same price range, but Sound Collision appeared to give me the better quote. Since both places were preferred by my insurance, I just went with Sound Collision based on the recommendation from my car dealership. They actually were able to get me scheduled in pretty quickly. However, they weren't open on weekends and I was scheduled to have my car in first thing on a Monday morning. They had the option of dropping off my car over the weekend and putting my key in an envelope and placing the envelope through a drop box and I would just leave my car in the parking lot. I ended up doing this because I really had no other choice if I wanted to get it fixed right away, but leaving my car in their lot overnight out in the open made me a little nervous, especially since it looked like it was around that shady part of Renton (near Wal-Mart). I went through the extra effort of clearing my car of any valuables and belongings. In any case, no harm done, I got my car back in two days time. It was back to pre-accident status and they even gave it a car wash and vacuumed around the floors, too. I was very pleased with the paint job since I was a little nervous that matching the particular blue shade of my car might have been difficult, but it turned out great! All in all, I was pleased with the work they did and the price they gave was fair, but it would have been nice if they were open on weekends (even for just a couple of hours so you could rest assured that you personally gave your keys to one of the staff there) or if they had a better location that felt a little more reassuring instead of worrying about broken windows or stolen tires. read more

Horrible. I broke my passenger window, got it replaced by them, and it broke in a couple of weeks. When i got it replaced from another body shop it was damaged from the edge which caused it to crack. I showed it to Sound Collision and they told me they cant do anything about it. And I did not get a refund. Total BS. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

Talked to Robert when I went to pick up, and let me tell you, 100 star customer service. This was my first time ever having to get collision repair so I didn't know what to expect and I was blown away, robert told me everything they did and some of the processes to match the paint. After a serious fender-bender, my insurance company recommended several shops, and Sound Collision was one of them. Craig (at the front desk) was very helpful and informative on the phone and in person. Mike handled the management of my repair. Both were very responsive to my needs, and I recommend both of them. My car was repaired on schedule. The paint was great. The body work was great. My only complaint is that I had to wait a few days for a quote, and I had to wait a week to get scheduled for repair -- they are too good and too popular. They definitely do good work. Sound Collision has repaired my 2013 Ford C max Energi twice due to unfortunate circumstances. Nobody wants a new car hit especially when its not your fault. After the repair was completed for collision #1 I went to pick up the car. After pulling the car out into the daylight the manager Tracy noticed that the paint on the repair didn't match perfectly. He insisted on keeping the car and provided a loaner while they repainted my car. When I came back it was perfect. After the second fender bender they repaired my car perfectly providing me with another loaner car. Great customer by Tracy and Sound Collision Center but I hope I never see them again. read more

We have a 2013 black Passat sedan that we are totally satisfied with. Therefore, when the back passenger door was dented in a "hit and run" in a grocery store parking lot we were quite disturbed. A repair can often look ok, but noticeable. We had used Sound Ford Collision center before on previous cars, so they weren't an unknown facility. Since our insurance had them as a preferred body shop we shopped them and a couple of other repair locations. They seemed to have good ideas on the fix. Well, we are happy! Don't, just don't! I took my brand new F150 to them for repair due to a minor fender bender. The truck was promised back in 2-3 days. It took over three weeks. When I went in to pick it up I had to point out there were still tire rub marks on the fender. On my way to work I noticed the mirror did not work. On the repair order it states; "removed and tested mirror" why you would remove it for testing is beyond me. So I had to go back and have that fixed. I requested some paint chips on the shell touched up, that wasn't done. I was concerned about the front suspension due to how it was hit. Rather than take it through the service side for a proper inspection they sent it to Les Schwab for an alignment?!? While in their possession the truck racked up over 300 miles! My Spint tracking device had been unplugged in Eastern Washington. It looks to me like someone used it while it was there. (I was out of state most of this time. It was promised back before my trip but that didn't happen.) I'm thinking if it hadn't been used by someone maybe they could have fixed it right, the first time, on time. I notified the service advisor, Tracy, about the added mileage but no one has bothered to contact me. Stay away! read more

This is an update to my new Ford Escape and its annoying creaky noise. I was told it came from metal rubbing each other. Sound Ford collision center glued the metal pieces together. The noise went away for a week then came back. I took it back, This time I was told that they welded the metal pieces together. But, the noise problem never really went away. After 2 trips of trying to get the problem fixed. I kind of gave up and accepted the fact that I will have to live with this birth defect of my new 2017 Ford Escape. I bought 6 new Ford vehicles in the past 20 years. This is the first one that disappointed me. I plan to shop around when i trade in this one in a couple of years for a different brand. The reason I gave 4 stars is to compliment the staff members at the collision center. They are all very helpful and courteous. They really treat their customers well. read more

They are nice people but their service is opposite. My car was 3 days late for delivery and the car was in terrible condition when I pick it up. Dust is everywhere inside and outside of the car. Fingerprints and glue are all over the car. I spent hours to remove dust, fingerprints and glue. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this auto body shop. Please bring your car somewhere else. read more
