Not good not good service at all... I recently had my brake service for my Infinity QX60 at the shop and I am not happy about their service. 1) I had pads replaced cost about $1000 2) Took a car home and heard noise after a week. 3) Took a car back and learning that the back brake pads had quality issue and damaged the rotors. 4) Replaced rotors (additional $250) 5) Took a car home and still had the squeaky sound issues. 6) Took the car back and they couldn't figure out where the noise came from. They did a small adjustment and hoped it worked. 7) Few weeks after, still had a noise. Took it back and they asked for $99 diagnostic. Since I had no other choice, had to go for it. They found some corroded wire and offered to clean it for free. 8). Took it home. The noise was still there. I gave up and took my car to Infinity car service in Bellevue and learning that the replaced pads had poor quality. These pads were not OEM parts!!! I wish they would tell me upfront that they didn't use none OEM parts. Maybe, they need to fix their pad supply issues to ensure the pad quality up to the standard. read more

I came here yesterday around 4:30 pm. Mollie who I just found out is the owner was so helpful. Earlier in the day my car turned off out of no where on the freeway and mollie was able to explain to me what had happened. Luckily it was just a minor problem but we are going to follow up in a few weeks. This auto servicing place also had cold water bottles and coffee for the guests Prior to visiting this shop I went down the street to Jeff's auto and although I explained that my car had just stopped working on the freeway and it was 4 pm and they closed at 5 I was told that they were closing up and I would have to come back tomorrow and also pay $180 for a diagnostic. They really let me leave the shop knowing my situation. The person at the front desk *seemed* nice. But in reality they were trying to fear monger service out of me. They charged me for a diagnostic to tell me my car wouldn't be able to drive home and to sell it, they took the MDPS fuse to make a bunch of flashing lights on my dash and just explained it to me as "you have lights on your dash now". And coincidentally, my AC/Heater has stopped working. Very curious. But luckily for me my car was still able to drive home despite their "expert" analysis and $700 alternator. read more

Called and scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic after stating my car was having acceleration issues- and agreed with the woman on the phone it was more than likely a transmission issue. Dropped my car off today. They charged me $140 for a code read. A CODE READ. They then tell me on the phone that they don't do any sort of transmission work. That I could take their notes somewhere else but they doubt any other shop would take their "diagnostic" as they don't take other shops diagnostics. So even though they knew it sounded like transmission issue, something they don't work on, they still booked me and charged me for the service. The man at the desk had the audacity and arrogance to tell me I was leaving with "more knowledge" and that they had helped me out. Run from this place. Since my car's maintenance warranty expired I have been going to Landing Auto Service for my car's maintenance requirements. I have been very impressed with them so far. The location is rather great nearby to The Landing with a large enough lot that there always seems to be plenty of parking. I am always greeted promptly when entering and they always address me by name when I enter, which makes me realize how in-tune with their calendar they must be. The waiting room is rather comfortable - small, pleasant, little bottles of water to drink, some magazines scattered about, and nice chairs. The service I have received here has always been nice. The prices are reasonable, there's no pressure sales tactics, and they explain all the details so that I can understand them. They don't talk to me like I don't know anything, which I appreciate, and they don't talk over my head, which I also appreciate. They are very pleasant and I feel confident and comfortable here. The only reason that this does not receive a perfect rating is once I went in for an oil change and after the appointment they had informed me everything on the car was great. They had noted that the tire pressure was fine. They were particularly busy that day, and I get that when people get busy they may not go over the details with the fine tooth comb, but the very next day my tire pressure warning went off. When I checked my tired pressure my tires were under pressure by 10+ psi per tire (tires were supposed to be at 36 and each measured between 22-26). Even if they hadn't had the time or the resources to deal with my under pressured tires I would have appreciated the heads up so I could have taken my car over to the gas station to put more air in them. It is a great company, though, and one that I feel confident in. read more

I just had my Cadillac truck service at this shop today, let me just say when they showed me how bad it was leaking oils and fluids and practically damaged and wore out suspension arms i was totally shock as i never felt it driving my truck, I bought this truck from a private seller last march and I've gotten the drive and serpentine belts changed, battery changed, new battery terminals, and regular 3 month oil changes at other places but when i took my truck here, I was pleasantly welcomed and thankful i found a place that understands what quality and honest service is. In my particular situation it was kind of "pricey" but glad i got the problem fixed before it was too late, still needs some minors service to get it at peak condition but its at 85% drivable now that they replaced much needed parts and fixed most of the major leaks that were giving my truck some challenges. I cant wait to come back and get my vehicle at top running condition and visit Mollie and James and Kevin. I Can honestly say i think my truck has found herself a new place to be taken care of from now on. If you all want the best experience here just be completely honest to them on what's going on with your car!! They will be honest back and completely take time to get the right job done properly with no haggling or up selling just straight forward trustworthy service which is getting harder and harder to find year after year, these guys ROCK. I was one of their early customers years ago. I used to like this shop but it has definite customer service problems. Recently I stopped in to make an appointment for an oil change and inspection specifically with Kevin. The person managing the desk chose the day and time. I came back a week later and discovered he never bothered to set up the appointment with his own mechanic Kevin. I came an hour early and was willing to wait if the mechanic showed up at the time they set. That same desk manager told me Kevin may show up or may not be in at all or may be in sometime later or at 1pm, he simply didn't know or care. When I pointed out the poor customer service, he said he was hired to run the shop as he saw fit. One of their other mechanics messed up a previous repair regarding a wheel bearing which was corrected at another shop. I was willing to give Landing Auto one more chance because I like Kevin but I'm through with them and their lousy service. If they can chase away old customers with complete disregard, they certainly don't deserve any new ones. read more

I and all my family members have used Landing Auto Service for years with incredible service and great results ALWAYS! I had to take my precious truck to a Ford dealership (Evergreen Ford Issaquah BEWARE!) due to a warranty product issue. What a nightmare. This Ford's customer service was not great to begin with and after them having my truck repeatedly and spending almost 3,000 dollars for a maintenance along with checking constant issues I had been having with new turbos that had been replaced, they claimed it was fine and they checked thoroughly and could not find an issue. My engine seized very shortly after they had it. Landing Auto Service and owner Mollie went absolutely out of their way to guide me and research to find how to handle this situation with Ford. The help and guidance Mollie, Kevin and Lukas provided was absolutely above and beyond anything I have ever experienced or expected and their guidance in trying to make sure Ford held itself accountable and questions to ask them was priceless. This place is a hidden gem! I had a parasitic battery draw on my Honda civic that NO ONE could figure out - not even the Honda service center. Honda did a full check for 2 days and...nothing...they just handed me back my keys and shrugged. I tried Landing Auto on a whim and was blown away at how efficient these guys were. Kevin and Lucas were top-notch - clear, consistent communication, honest and just straight up pleasant. Kevin did extensive detective work to figure out the problem. [Reply] The owner point-blank lied in their reply. Never was I asked about 'original tires' or any other question related to tires & all 4 tires match each other. I was asked for payment from this shop because I was in fact a direct customer of theirs for oil change, as that is obviously not a service included in any collision-related insurance repairs they were separately subcontracted for by another shop. They state that another shop brought in the car & yet claim they asked questions about my tires in a completely self-contradictory attempt to lie their way out of their failures. They refused to *even glance* at the tire pressure light claiming not part of service done, despite front desk stating they had. I offered to pay when came in, they refused to accept, literally closing the door on me. I called about payment, they rejected the calls too. _______ Landing Auto Service has proven completely unethical, rude, unreliable, causing more damage than repairs and to have engaged in insurance fraud, and I would advise avoided them at all costs. They have provided the worst service from any shop or business have ever encountered. Untrustworthy to say the least, fraudulent beyond that. Car brought in for service, filling tires and oil. Came back with tire pressure sensor lights on. Turns out they reduced down to less than half specified pressure for tires (24 vs 50). Brought to another shop quickly rectified. Landing Auto point blank lied saying "car came in that way with warning light on" and refused to even *look* at the warning light and refused to even top off tires to fix it. Though front desk confirmed earlier they messed with tires, mechanic refused to even acknowledge that was done, instead preferring to lie about an easily fixed issue. Point blank called me a liar multiple times and closed the doors to shop rather than even take the 1 second to look at sensor or consider possibility even while standing next to the car. They also told me they did work on the Anti-lock Brake system which was never needed. When I brought up, they called me a liar and said never did it. After pressing several times, another admitted they did tell me this Anti-lock Brake work was done, but was due to "mis-documenting", but then continued to insist I was wrong for asking about work that was never done. They then shut down the entire shop rather than even take 1 second to look at sensors or acknowledge they did any work on tires. They jammed heads-up speed display, and refused to even look at it, claiming "unrelated to oil change" refusing to even acknowledge all the other work they did and how the heads-up display was fine when car dropped off with them and then broken when picked it up, despite documenting with another mechanic before I'd even driven it an inch. Then claimed there was 0% an airbag sensor issue could ever result from a car crash, despite their having replaced it entirely and fraudulently billing insurance for entire replacement, despite fact that another mechanic previously confirmed airbag issue was resolved simply after resetting the sensor. They then claimed that their fraudulent overbilling was in fact my own fraud, that I must have gotten into car crash just in order to get a new free sensor that was clearly unnecessary. When I challenged them to check system logs as well as mechanic full system inspection report that occurred from a different shop days and photos from showing no airbag sensor issue didn't exist until the crash, they scoffed at the idea of "checking logs/reports" and simply called me a liar several more times to my face. They scheduled a time for me to come in and then when I arrived said "have no time now or later" to even look at the car for several seconds or hear out a description of what the result of their service was. Both issues were quickly resolved once brought to another shop, within minutes, for things they would rather shut down their entire shop than take 1 second to lean in and look it and would prefer to lie about being unrelated and pre-existing, kicking me out when came in to pay for service, and refused to answer multiple calls regarding it after that. Considering there are 21 5-star reviews which Yelp has already flagged as suspicious & hidden, I wonder how many of other remaining reviews are similarly likely to be fake. At this point I'm likely to report Landing Auto to the National Insurance Crime Bureau and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for their fraudulent, dishonest, unethical practices. I suggest going to literally any other shop than Landing Auto as in 35+ years I have never encountered any business of any kind (not just Auto related) which was proven as unethical, rude, insulting and willing to lie, inaccurate, providing result worse off than when came in, and unwilling to even acknowledge what services were done. read more

Lukas, the service manager always kept me updated with my vehicle - him and his colleagues did wonders and solved every issues that my crv had. After picking up and driving off, my car drove and sounded better compared to when I first purchased it. The prices here are reasonable and fair considering the amount of labor that goes into repairing every vehicle the proper way. Today I had a slight issue when I was trying to replace my headlights on my own and went here to see if they could help. The guy at the front desk (didn't catch his name, but he was a fellow CWU grad) said while they didn't have the time to fit me in today to take a in-depth look, he could take a look to see if it would be an easy fix. "High Prices, Cheap Parts, and Poor Customer Service" - My wife and I had brought our cars to this place a few times because it is a convenient location. But through online research I always noticed that we were paying above the highest price range for this area for the tasks that were being done. Then about 2 years ago I had my brakes done there (everything except for the rotors). I noticed bad pulsating within a couple of months. So I took it back and they recommended new rotors. This time the pulsating returned after only 3 months and got much worse over the next couple of months. I took the car back again and they said more than once that it was most likely due to my "driving habits". I've been driving for over 40 years, and I probably average about 50-60,000 miles on a total brake job. I requested that they turn/regrind the rotors for free and they very reluctantly did so. They also stated very emphatically that they would only do this one time for me. When I came in for this task to be done the person at the desk looked down on me. I knew it wasn't a bad day for her because a new customer came in and she had a very friendly conversation with her. After a few more months, pulsating again!! I asked them what we should do, after all I paid about $2,700 so far on my brakes, and with no results. They said to take it somewhere else. I took it to another mechanic who charged much less for the brake job, and after over one year of driving the brakes are extremely smooth, even when I brake going down steep hills. I asked that mechanic what kind of brake parts were in my car, and he said, "cheap O/Reilly parts". Landing Auto Service charges well above the price range for this area, uses cheap parts, and does not stand by their work. We will not return. read more

I had to have my Acura repaired due to the control arm and axle literally falling off of my car on the 405. I called the repair shop that services my other vehicle and much to my surprise, they don't work on Acuras. They did, however, highly recommend The Landing Auto Service. It was a no-brainer from there after seeing the great reviews here. I had my car towed in by Brown Towing (great tow company if ever in need) and was immediately contacted by Mollie ro let me know my 15 year baby had come in. We had a chuckle about the fact the control arm had literally fallen off the car. After deciding I wanted to keep the car and not junk it, Mollie kept me informed every step of the way. I thought my car would be there at least a week or so considering the damage but they turned it back over to me within 3 days and at a price I was comfortable paying. My experience was less than ideal. A conversation and question lead to owner frustration and it required me to tow my vehicle to another shop mid-repair. While I am happy to apologize and own being frustrated with the parts prices, I found it unfortunate that a decision was made to stop all work after It seemed apologies were made over the phone and we agreed to complete the job. I didn't receive a call after this decision was made but found out when my wife called to see if the vehicle was finished much later. I had to make arrangements with another shop and tow the vehicle at my expense since it wasn't safe to drive. We exchanged apologies in person for it going sideways and I paid $1500 for work completed which was fine - but this is my first experience with an auto shop refusing to complete service because of a phone call gone wrong. -------------------------------------- If simply asking why I was being charged $420 for an aftermarket wheel bearing that I could walk out the door from autozone for around $200 or order online for $140 was attacking then wow ... guess I shouldn't ask questions. The other shop even verified that I was being charged the OEM AC Delco price in their computer. Yeah I got frustrated because the question set off Mollie and she immediately took a defensive tone and said the question was offensive and that I was insinuating you guys were ripping me off. I never said that. I just asked why such an upcharge after I took the time to get more informed on part pricing. The pricing on the other parts seemed in line but this one felt off so I investigated it. I mentioned an attorney after she said just come pick it up knowing full well the vehicle had non operating brakes. You told my wife the brakes didn't work but you were going to drive it down the street to another shop. How does that make sense? Why would we authorize that? At the end of the day my question sparked a super defensive rebuttal and your decision to stop all work because your wife got upset because of her own misconceptions ... it left us with a $1500 bill and a non operational vehicle. I apologized on the phone for being frustrated because I never got an answer. Just excuses and that I was misinformed and could check with any shop in town. It wasn't an attack on your integrity but a question in which I wanted additional clarity and information. I clarified that multiple times over the phone and Mollie said fine You'd finish the repair -- in which you decided later to leave the vehicle in disrepair and un-drivable. It's your business you can do what you want. But I'm also a paying customer so I can say you left me with an vehicle I had to tow because your wife got upset at my pricing questioning. I came and apologized but never said I took it too far. I said I got frustrated and could have handled it better which is true, but you need to own that you too could have handled this situation way better and not left us in a lurch. Lesson learned. Never again and I caution other people to use you guys if questions are interpreted as personal attacks. read more

The Landing did a brake job on my car last year. A couple of days after the new brake job, the brakes failed. The brake pedal went to the floor board, jeopardizing my life. The Landing replaced the brakes for a second time. However, the second set of brakes started leaking fluid, and I had a different company replace the brakes, for the third time. I had to pay for the final repairs because The Landing warranty wasn't valid. My new shop offers a three year warranty for their brake jobs, not so the Landing. So, shoddy work, lousy warranty and I end up paying twice for brakes. read more

After inspecting my brakes they confirmed that I did need new brakes and gave me a report on the rear brakes. He said that they will need to replaced in a few months but right now I'm ok. I asked how much it would cost to do both now and he gave me a quote. I decided to do both. He said the car would be ready the next day. I got a call telling me my car was ready the same day. When I went to pick up my car and pay, it $150 less than I was quoted. Will be a return customer! read more

Our older Lexus SUV had a sudden radiator failure while traveling in the Renton area. We found Landing Auto Service online, noticed positive reviews and were able to limp the car to their shop. Kevin and Molly were able to give us a clear view of the repair path and the likely outcome; in this case, unlikely to have engine damage and just a straightforward radiator replacement. They were able to get the vehicle in quickly, called us as soon as they were able to confirm the diagnosis (along with an estimate), and had it fixed for us the next morning. As someone who has done this type of work myself (albeit in my own garage) I found the integrity and knowledge of Kevin and Molly to be first rate. This made an easy referral for a friend for work needing work on their Toyota. read more

I brought my girlfriends 2014 Crosstrek to these guys for what I thought was issues with the CV axles. I advised her to start with and inspection and then get the work done, which we did. They verified my suspicion and when we went to pick the car up they quoted her about 880 for repairs. Cost of labor, parts, everything. She scheduled for the next week then and there. No written estimate was given to her at this time. Weird to me, every other shop I have been to has given me a written estimate regardless of when i scheduled work. I make a call to my brothers shop and they cross reference the estimate and say they'd charge me 852.17. I figure close enough, it's at LAS. Have them do the work. Repairs come and go and she gets a call saying work is done and she owes them over 1100. Almost 300 dollars over what they quoted her at. We tried to dispute it and the manager at the desk flat out refused to acknowledge the quote he gave us just days ago and kept saying that it was "just a miscommunication". Me and my girlfriend were both in the shop when he quoted us. We both heard the exact same number. So I don't know where 1100 and change came from. The only thing I can come up with is that we got fucked on parts markup. We paid almost 800 dollars alone for the parts. Cross reference from another shop showed that 2 CV axles for a 2014 Crosstrek should have cost us only about 400 dollars. The dealer my brothers shop uses would have cost them roughly 80 per axle, they would have charged us 200 per axle. But still half of what this shop did. I understand a business needs to make money but that kind of markup on parts is absolutely ridiculous. Regardless of the final price I also don't appreciate being led on and gaslit about what was said or what I heard. Never use this shop for their services. There's always someone more honest and transparent out there. read more

Realized I did not review them from prior job. Kevin did an amazing job on a previous car I'd (Lexus is250 6speed). Long story short, another nearby shop had incorrectly done a clutch job on my car and needed to get it replaced again (twice in a month). Upon installation Kevin informed me there was something more than the clutch that had to be replaced. The bell housing of my transmission had a broken piece and required replacement. That was another $1,000 through Lexus of Bellevue. Upon that, Kevin really worked with me to keep the price as low as possible. Since it was more worked involved than first quoted. Have you ever visited one of those special businesses where you just want to run home to Yelp about how awesome they are and then get pangs of momentary selfishness and want to keep their greatness to yourself? This is one of those places. We've had the unfortunate luck of needing repairs for both our Ford Ranger and our Honda CR-V within a time span of about ten days. We had both vehicles to their regular doctors a few weeks before and were really pretty underwhelmed. Things were misdiagnosed, not fixed correctly or were altogether missed. I was told I needed a new catalytic converter for $1600 (which apparently I do not need after all). We decided to try someone new and went to Yelp for reviews. When have you ever seen an auto mechanic with a solid five star rating? NEVER. And they are pretty close to home too. Sold. The folks that run this place are a husband and wife team and they are the bee's knees. They greet you as long lost friends (including Kevin the mechanic seeing my wife in QFC a couple days after we picked up the truck and asking her how it was....LOL). They explain everything to you as if you actually know something about cars and they don't nickel and dime you. They are TRULY service oriented, and as far as I can tell, they really know their stuff. When have you ever been to a car doctor where the mechanic comes out of the bay to come talk to you when he sees you drive up? Me...never. I swear, if these two ever fart, they must fart RAINBOWS. Thinking it should be an easy fix it took them 3 days to fix and I had to call them to get updates. When I picked up my vehicle I was pleased to have but when I drive off the heat did not work. I get home and I call them...he says give it 24 hours it takes time for the blower to warm up. (Did not make sense but I was ok with it) in the morning I leave around 4:45am and I get on 405 North and finally the heat randomly kicks on and within 1 minute my entire engine under the hood is smoking and my engine is overheated. I call road side assistance and have my car delivered back to the mechanic. They assured me the issue was not related (which I did not believe) and I had to leave the car another 2 days. When I go pickup the vehicle, guy claims the engine fans are not working and that he can't figure it out but he fixed the issue by allowing the fans to continually blow by switching around some wires. I was upset because he had my car for another 2 days and no resolution. I picked it up and I shared my disappointment with him and his wife and instead of listening they went into straight defense mode. I later on took my car back to the Dodge dealership to get it inspected and within 45 minutes he called to tell me that under my hood was a mess and someone had moved wires, fuses were missing and in the wrong spot and whomever worked on my vehicle did not assemble the part properly and that is why it was not working! Well that mechanic was this place. Greatful that the dealership was honest and replaced the fuse and cleaned up the Auto Landing spotty job. I will never be back and I would advise others the same. Got a quote from somewhere else and these guys were able to do the same job for about $700 less. They were able to get me in same day and got the work done within a few hours. My car drives like a dream and the guys were super friendly and kept me in the loop every step of the way! Went here for an oil change and had a great experience. Took about 45 minutes and they do a full inspection, which for the price of the oil change is a great deal. They even check your key fob battery and will replace it for free if you're a repeat customer! They're all very kind and answered my questions in a way I could understand. read more

Still a 5-star experience and value. Came back here in the Spring after a visit for the brakes in the Fall and they provided the same consistent service they did as the first time. They checked my brakes for free and let me know that they're fine (again!). They looked at my transmission fluid because of what I initially thought was a braking problem (they couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes). It ended up being a digital technological issue with the transmission downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear with a little hitch in the shift. Kevin looked up the information on his computer, thought he might try a little something something with the digital needing to relearn the downshift and Voila! My car comes to a stop smoothly now. On another note, I tried to put a tow hitch on a different car and they referred me to someone else who does this specifically telling me that they'll look out for your best interests. They are a scam!! More expensive than the dealership for changing brakes. And they don't even have any good brands just some knock off brands from China. Asked for original parts, and this dude wanna convince me that the parts he has are better than the manufacturer's one!! Just be careful people, don't get scammed. read more
