My vintage Harman Kardon stack sounds just as good as it did back in 1985 and is ready for the next 40 years. I had a pretty rough experience with The Sound Doctor. To be fair, I do believe that the issue was a very difficult one to troubleshoot. However, I sent my Onkyo receiver to his shop in mid December 2014 and I just received it back on 14 June 2015. That's 7 months!!! When I got it back it came with a note explaining that he could not find the problem and if I had any further problems I should contact Onkyo. Well DON, I did call them and they sent me to YOU!!! During the 7 MONTHS that he had my receiver, I called quite a few times to check the status and he always apologized for the delay and said "I'll call you tomorrow with an update" I NEVER received a call back from ANY of my inquiries. The only time that he tried to call me was to tell me that he was sending my broken equipment back to me. read more

Don't know if this guy is a crook for sure, but he never fixed my $3000.00 tube amp after years of promises and excuses. I sometimes wonder who's enjoying the amazing sound of that amp, Wish it was me. Finally couldn't take it any longer and gave up on him and the amp, He also charged me $70.00 to replace a blown fuse on another amp he "repaired". Maybe he's trustworthy for inexpensive stuff but I pity anyone that brings him something high end. read more

I brought 2 receivers in on November 11th 2016, nobody told me how long it would take to fix them, so after a week, I called, and was told it would take 2-4 weeks, it is now January 13th, 8 weeks, and a couple days, still don't have my receivers fixed, I was told one was fixed(that it worked just fine when they hooked it up, and Don? just resoldered a couple joints as a precaution), well thats $180 later, and still nothing on my 2nd receiver, I was given the reason of the holidays, well I understand that totally, but I dont feel that should add another month onto my original ETA, I should have been told 8-16 weeks with the holidays(dont you guys have a calendar?), I am VERY disappointed, would have never brought my stuff there if I knew the tech was on a part time basis, today is friday the 13th of January 2016, I said forget it, I will just come get it monday, and got the reply of...sorry sir, we are closed mondays, UGH, not sure of the quality of this outfit, but I can attest to one thing, if you like your music, and have a hard time living with out it, DONT go here, you will keep getting told "next week" :( and I drove an hour from my house to drop these off due to the 1 good feedback I read...grrrr read more
