Son is very knowledgeable and has been in the business for over 30 years. I had an old double din pioneer unit and backup camera that hasn't been working for over a decade now. I also have (2) existing 10" subs and an amp that still work fine. After getting a few quotes from other businesses, I decided to go with Son. He updated my double din to a newer Kenwood unit that has apple/android CarPlay and many other features for an enjoyable listening experience. It also works very well with my existing subs and amp setup. He also installed a newer backup camera that works great. I had the option of staying or drop off while he worked to put the new stuff in. After leaving his place, I noticed my sound was off with low output/feedback from the subs and just didn't sound right from the indoor speakers. Son told me right away to come back and he updated the equalizer settings as well as the amp to improve and enhance the sound. I ordered my "RAM POWERWAGON" with the Alpine Premium Stereo package in it. I don't know how Alpine could put their name on it. The system is total "JUNK". The original Alpine radio fizzled out within a year. It was replaced under warranty. The second Alpine radio lasted about 2yrs before it went south. My truck had just gone out of warranty by then but the dealer replaced it anyway because Chrysler already knew the Alpine system is cheap generic Chinese JUNK. The 3rd radio lasted a couple of years before it crapped out. The dealer told me Chrysler wouldn't replace it and it would cost me about $1500 out of pocket for a new one. That made no sense at all due to the fact that 3 previous factory radios had failed and a 4th one would undoubtedly do the same before too long so I went to Car Toys to see what they could do for me. I decided on a decent "Kenwood" radio that pretty much had all I needed and a little more. After the installation I jumped in to have a listen. It sounded great! Up front. The only problem was my 4 rear speakers and subwoofer weren't working. I asked the tech to show me how to get some sound in the rear speakers. He said that's not going to happen until you upgrade the rest of the cheap factory Alpine system. I asked why not? He said well first of all the factory Alpine radio & amp are only two channels. You need to go back with the factory radio to make everything work. That's the only radio that will work. No other radio is compatible wth that design. Great! Why didn't you tell me that before we started? Got a bunch of jibberish for an answer. Ok whatever. What's it going to take to get it working right? Well, you're going to need to lose the 2 channel amp and go to a 4-5 channel. Some additional wiring and probably change out a few speakers to handle the increased power from the new amp. The cost to do that was about 3 times the cost of purchse and installation of the new "Kenwood" radio. I said B.S. on that! Car Toys was obviously just trying to hose me. Figured I'd live with it for awhile until I found somebody else. That's what I did until I discovered Sonny and "Sound Factory Car Stereo". I took my truck over to him and explained my situation. He took a look at it and told me what was needed to get things working right. He said the factory speakers would work but really should be upgraded to handle the power from the new 5 channel amp. I told him although I did have the cash put away to do that being retired and drawing my Social Security I'd rather not do it all at once to stay within my monthly budget. How about we get the amp in and everything up and running and in a month or so I'll come back and get the speaker upgrade done. He said that's fine we can do that but suggested we at least upgrade the subwoofer along with the new amp. We agreed on doing that and scheduled the installation for the following week. I was going to have somebody follow me to his house to drop the truck off then come back when he was finished. He said it would only take 2-3 hours to do it and I could just hang out while he did the job if I wanted to. So I brought a lawn chair with me and that's what I did. To tell the truth not knowing Sonny and being a guy working out of his garage I was a little bit skeptical about his work. After he started working that all went away pretty quick. First he set up portable lighting and then got after it. He has every tool needed and all the electronic meters to make sure everything is right as he goes along. Although I was sitting well out of his way from time to time he would call me over there and show me something he was doing and explain why he did it that way. Very informative in that regard. He does an extremely neat job and works like a surgeon. The man obviously knows what he's doing. I was very impressed! When he finished we both sat in the truck and listened to the sound. I was extremely satisfied so he went ahead and buttoned it up. The job took him exactly 3hrs so he was spot on regarding the total time too. He charged me about 2/3 of what overpriced "Car Toys" would have charged to do the same thing. Probably a neater installation too. Next month I'll have Sonny install the new speaker upgrade and we'll be done with this truck. So if anybody sees/hears a 70yr old man thumpin down the road in a Ram Powerwagon you'll know where it came from. Sonny is the man! read more

He provided all the materials needed and even did more modifying than he knew we needed, at no extra cost. We got an after market stereo with Apple CarPlay and backup camera and he had to modify seat heater controls to make the entire system look factory. The quality and install look seamless. I was skeptical at first, thinking to myself "oh, this guy is going to rip me off some how" and debating whether to trust the reviews or not but what drove me to give Sound Factory Car Stereo a try was that BestBuy was charging per hour, and at that they were charging for each part of the installation per hour separately. Sonny gave me a flat rate that was more than reasonable. Sonny's work is very professional and it is not hard to see that he has experience and knows what he is doing. I have a little 2001 Ford Ranger and its pretty beat up from the previous owner, but Sonny treated it as if he was working on an exotic car of some sort, which I was very well pleased with.
