AN absolute lifesaver! I visited Dr. Josh during the pandemic when, after several weeks of being hunched over my desk, stressed out, and unable to get out of the house, I began experiencing horrible back and should pain. He was able to get me in after his last appointment that day, taking precautions that allowed me to both not interact with other patients, and not be forced to sit uncomfortably in my car. After his evaluation, he made some adjustments and gave me some exercises to do. I didn't feel better that evening, but the next morning - hooray! The pain was gone! I had a followup visit the same week and have another scheduled, so that we can prevent a recurrence while I make adjustments to my day to hopefully avoid another such situation. The offices aren't fancy, but they are comfortable enough, and Dr. Josh took great care with disinfecting procedures during the visit (ie, making sure the chairs were wiped down before and after use, etc). I actually first saw Dr Josh when I was with a friend and she was getting a serious hip issue sorted out. After going with the friend to a couple of appointments I mentioned the headaches I got often (average 4 a week) and Dr Josh said he could do something about it. I had my doubts but after a time I went to see him and give him a shot. That was around 4 years ago. I've been going to him since. At that time we sat down and figured out a plan. He told me exactly what was the cause of my headaches in an easy to understand explanation (not a bunch of fake medical speak) and what he'd do to fix it. As we progressed through the plan my headaches went from 4/week to around 1 to 2 a month and I usually know the cause. I now go to him once a month for preventative/maintenance reasons. Even as recently as a month ago we found an issue with my lower back and he spent an extra amount of time to figure it out and adjust it and the difference was like night and day. I used to live next to his office in Kirkland but now I live in White Center... the drive distance doesn't matter compared to the care I get. All in all, Dr Josh knows what he's doing, cares about everyone that steps in his office, and I always feel better when I leave his care. Highly recommended! After 2 appointments, I am seeing a significant improvement in my neck and shoulder area, as well as considerably less pain. I fell about 6 weeks ago and broke my nose after which I was suffering from neck pain and stiffness. Although the pain gradually receded, the stiffness did not go away completely, and last week I felt a couple little pops in my neck and immediate pain. I have a long history with Dr. Josh. I went in a couple years back with just a ton of low back pain. He did a full on workup with me including xrays and later, a consultation that lasted over an hour. The consultation laid out what he'd like to do and it required a commitment that I wasn't ready to make, financially and time-wise. I let him know that and he was completely understanding and told me to come back when I was ready. So I left and sat in pain for another year! It came to pass that I needed to do something, so I came back to Dr. Josh to get started. He still had my file, still remembered me, and remembered the issues I was having. That's impressive! So my course of therapy required a time commitment of a few months and a monetary commitment of a nice chunk of change, but it's been worth it. He was able to work with me on the prices and gave me an affordable package that I gladly pay. In his own words" I'm willing to work with you on payment, but not on the program". The meaning was that he cares more about you than he does about making money.....the money is nice, however, and you do still have to pay him! :) So to summarize, I came in with pain 100% of the time, pain in my shoulders, pain in my low back, instability in my upper back, unable to bend over without sharp pain, and an inability to stand for more than a few minutes without having to sit down. I was a mess. I had previously gone to see Dr.'s and physical therapists that were unable to solve my issues. I tried traditional methods and they didn't work. Chiropractic works for me and I have made a commitment to do the maintenance that my body requires. I haven't gotten to the maintenance stage of my program yet, but whether I have to come once a month or 4 times a month, I'll do it to stay pain free. My progress has been steady and it's taken time, but I'm pain free for the first time in years. My flexibility, mobility, and injuries are 100% better than they were 5 months ago, when I started.
