It worked very well, as did my in-office appointment. I found this place randomly after a tour of the birth clinic downstairs. I had what turned out to be a dislocated rib and was in a lot of pain. I had spent the previous day trying to find a chiropractor, but no one could squeeze in a new patient, which I found infuriating ("sorry, it takes too long to do the paperwork, you'll just have to deal with your *excruciating pain* till tomorrow"). I popped in and caught them during their pre-business hours daily meeting, but they were more than happy to have me pop in and quickly fill out the paperwork then scheduled me for an appointment for right after they officially opened. I was able to go to a quick lunch with my beautiful wife then come back. I saw Dr. Thornley, who was amazing. In my visits he's fixed my dislocated rib, is working to help re-align my neck which I injured in a car accident nearly a year ago, and helping me reduce my lower back pain. The staff there is amazingly helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is open and caring, and the doctors are all professional and deeply talented. I have the great fortune of living about a mile from the Kirkland Clear Chiro location so it was an easy choice to use them when the time came last year. I was one of the types of folks who had never been to a chiropractor before and therefore did not have a deep understanding of just how much what they do matters. As a brief background, I had been suffering from a pretty constant headache for almost three weeks. My General Practitioner prescribed muscle relaxers and pain killers that did nothing but make me groggy. They then recommended seeing a massage therapist. This made it WORSE. I made an appointment at Clear Chiro and they accommodated me the same day due to the amount of discomfort I was in. Dr. Evans listened to my description of where I hurt, took some x-rays, found the problem, and adjusted my C1 vertebrae right then. Within 24 hours the headaches were gone and I was feeling much better. I decided to see them on a regular basis as I had some issues with neck curvature and lower back. Dr. Evans cleared those issues up as well. I have not been back for a couple months for a check up since things were going fine but I have to say, Their curtesy, genuine concern for the patient, and obvious expertise worked perfectly in my case. This is my first chiro experience, and I was disappointed. My initial adjustment did nothing to address my pain, and I never fully understood just what the adjustments were supposed to be doing. I was really surprised when the doctor recommended 12 weeks of treatment, especially when the adjustments were making new pain and not addressing my existing pain. She kind of scared me by saying I had bone spurs and arthritis and structural anomalies in my neck, so I brought the x-rays to my primary doctor. He didn't see anything that she described. I just don't trust this place, and highly recommend any new patients get a second opinion before beginning treatment. read more

Dr. Clum and the team at Clear are incredible! She has worked with me to ease some chronic pain as well as provided insight and care into acute issues as they have popped up (as they do...) I am training for my first distance run this summer, and I am jogging for the first time in my life without debilitating hip pain. I called to see if they accepted my insurance because my neck had been hurting nonstop for 3 day. The lady that helped me was more than helpful. She asked for my info and said she would call me back after she contacted my insurance to see what they would cover. She called back in a few minutes. After we discussed the insurance she said they could get me in that day. The massage therapist was very knowledgable and seemed to enjoy what she does for a living. I found out about this chiropractor through the Bite of Seattle. They were offering an amazing special that included X-rays and initial exam. After my first visit, I must say I have never had a chiropractor place so much care and emphasis on my well being. Dr. Tyler Evans did a great job on digging and trying to find the root cause of my neck problems instead of just adjusting like other chiropractors have in the past.
