Truly one of the worst places I've been. I went in there to get my sub to connect to my front speakers and have it tuned. They charged a crazy amount of money just for it to sound like shit. His exact words when I picked it up was "I think it sounds like shit but..." saying how to make it sound good I would need to spend another $500. I just recently went to a more trusted stereo place to have it fixed and even they were flabbergasted by how bad it was. The wiring was wrong, they didn't tune it, turned down the sub to where all the bass was coming from back speakers (which caused it to tear). I would never recommend this place. I went in there with my grandpa and they took advantage of the fact is was a girl and grandpa going in, knowing we mistakenly were trusting their word. read more

Quality of service is awful. You call and they send you straight to voicemail, unless you call back-to-back 4 times in a row. Their business hours claim to be 10am-6pm. That's false. I've been leaving work early and getting to work late so that I can have maintenance on my Ignition Interlock Device. I highly recommend if you need to install an Ignition Interlock Device on your vehicle, look everywhere else but Sounds Unlimited. And if you do get it installed through them, good luck when you have an Early Recall notification pop up on your device. I would give it 0 stars if I could. read more

These folks do good work for a good price. Unfortunately the communication between employees could be better. Scheduled dates for installation changed and a prepaid system was sold to another customer. Be patient because the installer does excellent work and they eventually make things right. read more

Jason helped me out today, I came in because my sub wasn't working and I had all my wires connected so I couldn't understand why. He came out, looked at it, and found my amp was shot. I got a new one, and he replaced the speaker wires (I was using too big of ones that weren't meant for sound systems) for me super fast and super easy. He was so kind, so understanding, amazingly patient with all my questions, he showed me how to use the app that controls my amp, he screwed my sub together again so it wasn't making that ugly noise, seriously the best absolute best I've ever been treated when doing anything sound/automotive. I will definitely only be going there, and I 150% recommend them to anyone looking to get stuff set up. If I could give more than 5 stars, I truly would. I live near Mac and did not want to make the trek out to Portland to Car Toys, and all my friends had never had a single positive experience from Car Toys. So my mom told me about this place, and I loved it! I came here for Christmas and got new speakers and a new stereo system. I loved that it was close, and they were so nice and helpful. Within a couple months of the backup camera mirror having been installed by Sounds Unlimited, a big black spot appeared in the screen. Even though the part has a 3 year warranty, I moved and so was unable to get back to the shop to fix it, for another year. When I did the owner said he has never seen my car and the job was not done by them; he did not want to have anything to do with it. He added that he bought the shop 2 years ago only. Please ch do to see that the reviews under the previous owner seem to have been more positive and happy. Anyway, I had to go back to the dealership and have them fax the original bill over, showing that he indeed was the one who did the job. When I returned and had him check the fax he made a call and told me he would fix the mirror as soon as the replacement part arrived. 2 weeks later still no word, he did not reply to my e-mail either so I drove by the shop again, but the door was locked despite the sign saying "open". I called him and he said he had the part but was too busy so he would call me and fix it too the next week. Again no call nor e-mail so I called and left him a message asking to either call me or e-mail me back. Here we are in another new week again and he has not even attempted to reach me and fix the job that he did not manage to get done right to begin with. I bought and had them install 6x9 speakers in my 2003 Buick. Speakers sound good , but they broke both speaker grill covers on the rear package tray, which did not even need to be removed.they then tried to glue them back together leaving glue al over the package tray and rear window,which I still am working on cleaning off, without much success. Used speaker covers cost me 149$ online. Also left the speaker wires hanging down almost to the floor in the trunk. read more
