I was having an issue with my Lutron RA2 system due to a IP address change. I was also having a miscommunication issue with the person I had regularly been using in the east bay. I called on a Friday and was transferred to Kevin who immediately started helping me. He set up an appointment for the next Wednesday along with a detailed email of what they would be doing. As it happens the miscommunication with my regular guy resolved itself and he came by and took care of the issue. I called Kevin to cancel and it was a no issue and no drama cancellation. We moved into our home during the height of Covid 19. Scott Sullivan and his team are very professional and know their stuff. I am reasonably technical for a layperson but moved into a place in Sausalito that had been remodeled and had two doorbird door bells, three server based sonos receivers, several LED TVs, and 8 EERO internet routers. They did a fabulous job and even found a way to get a POE internet connection half way between our house and the community garage where I keep my Tesla which require WiFi for updates. Finding the best vendor to install a home entertainment system can be daunting. How do you find the right company to make the most reliable recommendations, at a fair price, and then complete the installation in a timely, efficient manner? In my case, it was pure luck: my wife saw a SoundVision truck parked in front of a neighbor's house one day and we decided to give them a call. Shortly thereafter, Rody Santamarina, a SoundVision project manager, visited our home, listened carefully to what we were interested in having installed, and within a matter of days, presented us with a thorough, easy-to-understand, written description of our options. Once we made our selections, Rody scheduled an installation date. SoundVision's techs arrived punctually, worked efficiently, and then explained how each of the components of our new system worked. Based on that experience alone, I'd give SoundVision an A+. But there was more: over the next couple of years, minor software issues arose a few times. I'd google the issue, read about various ways of correcting the problem (one proposed resolution often contradicting another), and find myself unable to resolve the problem. Even though these problems weren't SoundVision's responsibility, I emailed Rody, asking for his advice. Each time - every single time - he responded the same day (usually within an hour or two), explaining what to do. Problem solved. And even now, Rody checks in periodically to see how our system is working and asking if we need any assistance. Do your own due diligence, but definitely give SoundVision a call. They're in a class of their own -- 5 stars really aren't enough. read more

SoundVision installed motorized shades in my new home a couple of weeks ago, and I could not be happier with the outcome. When I was researching motorized shade systems, I narrowed my selection down to Lutron shades, and upon some internet research, found Scott and his team at SoundVision, and a couple of other potential vendors. One of the other the vendors we reached out to did not respond to our inquiry. Another vendor, one that worked with us on our home automation system, said that the system could not be installed with our existing electrical wiring and gave us a ridiculous solution and quote. Not to mention they didn't break down the cost of parts and labor in their quote. We ultimately selected Scott and his team to execute this project, based on their professionalism and transparency during the quoting process. Working with SoundVision was fairly straight forward. You have to schedule an initial consultation for them to come out to your house to take a look at the electrical wiring and take measurements. Then, they will provide a quote that details the cost of the parts, labor, and project management. After you approve the project plan and select the type and color of shades that you want, it takes about six weeks to get the parts ordered. We had the shading system installed in six rooms, so the installation took three days. Scott's entire team was incredibly professional and did an excellent job. The shades are beautiful, easy to operate, and super quiet. One thing to note is that it did take a while to move through the entire process: scheduling a consultation, getting a quote, getting shade samples, ordering the shades, and getting the installation scheduled. I sent an inquiry to SoundVision at the end of April and the installation of our shading system was completed at the beginning of September. That being said, it was totally worth the wait! If you're looking to get a motorized shading system in your home, I highly recommend going with SoundVision. read more

I recently expanded my Sonos system to include the sound bar for my television. I couldn't get it properly configured to control the volume. Thats how long ago its been when we discovered SoundVision during our media upgrade in our family room and theater room. 6 years ago, they not only installed five TVs in our home, they also installed Sonos inside and outside our home. We went with all three options for different equipment and today, 6 years later, everything is still working like it did when it was first installed. Did we encounter any glitches or hiccups after initial installation? Of course we did, it can happen with any electrical work and technology. The SoundVision company in Novato proposed a sound system for our house which sounded excellent. The proposal was to replace an existing complicated and problematic system with a simpler set up. We liked the proposal but the actual installation far exceeds our expectations. The system is very easy to use and its versatility makes it much better than the more complicated and more limited system it has replaced. The technician installing the new system is named Michael and he is a Master Technician. He was able to solve any technical problems our set up caused.
