She needed a new bed but wouldn't be able to go to the Red Bank Sleep Shoppe to try one out. Plus, I had to execute this transaction from over 3,000 miles away. At the same time, I had to have her Medicare bed picked up on the same day as the delivery of the new bed. I looked around and spoke with other mattress stores but I got the best feel from Tom when we spoke. I had to have the delivery done on a Tuesday and his team doesn't do deliveries that day. Due to the situation, Tom said he would make the delivery himself since it was a smaller bed (twin). He made the delivery with his own car. He was right on time and set the bed up. My mother complained that the bed was too tall for her so I spoke with Tom and he was able to delivery a smaller box spring, the very next day. She loves her new bed. Overall, it was a pleasure buying a bed from the Red Bank Sleep Shoppe. Tom knew his business, was very personable and delivered on everything he promised. I could trust him and that was extremely important when it comes to my mother.

We were extremely hesitant and concerned when it came to buying a mattress until we met Hany. He answered all of our questions honestly and educated us on the different types of mattresses and frames. He gave us time to consider different options and encouraged us to shop around, noting that we would not find better prices anywhere else. We visited Value City Furniture and Ashley Furniture. We also visited another Mattress Firm Store. None of the prices or customer service came close to that of Hany at Middletown. Hany ultimately gave us the best price, and trust me, we did a lot of comparison shopping. Hany is a true professional who loves what he does. He is polite, caring and not pushy when it comes to making a sale. There was a slight issue with the delivery of our frame (the problem was because of the delivery company not Mattress Firm) and Hany took full control and made it right without any added stress for us. If you are in the market for a mattress, go to Mattress Firm in Middletown and ask for Hany. You won't be disappointed.

Manufacturers purposely name beds with the exact same specifications (other than maybe the decorative fabricused on the outside) different for each retailers. Meaning you can't go to Macy's, or JC Penny's or Sleepy's or any other bed shop with one specific make/model and compare the prices in each store. None of them will have it!! It sucks, and should be outlawed. That said, I can't tell you "what a great deal I got" compared to the other mattress stores I went to! What I can tell you is this: "To be forewarned is to be forearmed". Be ready, willing and able to negotiate the price of everything! That includes the base price of the mattress, the box spring, delivery, removal of your old bed, and any mattress cover or pillows you may be talked into. A word on mattress covers... Regardless of the term (# of years) of your warranty, if you get any stains on it, the warranty is void!!! So get a mattress cover that will prevent the mattress from being stained. Sleepy's will try to sell you their "Dri-tec" mattress cover. At about $140 retail, depending on the size of the mattress, it's pretty pricey compared to what you can buy at a store like Bed, Bath & Beyond. If you buy their "Dri-tec" cover, Dri-tec will "supposedly" pay for a new mattress, if needed, even if it stains through. So take that for what it's worth. Now... a word on pillows: They want you to buy their special "the way you sleep" (or somethig like that) pillow. You buy the pillow for the way you sleep (whether you sleep on your back, front or side). Do yourself a favor... Don't waste your money!!!!!!! I'm a big guy. 6'-2", 300lbs with wide shoulders. I sleep on my side. So I bought the "Side Sleeper" version. Now any chiropractor will tell you, a man my size, who sleeps on hs side, needs a pillow which doesn't allow the head to drop too low before it is supported by the pillow. The neck/back need to "remain in alignment", as it were. This pillow was so high that my head was being pushed up thereby straining my neck. I lasted 30 minutes then grabbed my old pillow out of the closet. The killer? I took the pillow out of the original wrapping... can't return it. There's almost $80 bucks down the drain! Lesson learned: if you want to "try" it at home, don't take it out of the wrapper. This way if you don't like it, you can return it. But make sure you cover the plastic wrapping so you don't suffocate will ya?!! But I found a way to salvage some of my money. I opened a seam, took out about 20% of the poly fill, and sewed it shut. Feels great! Not bad, eh? All in all, they delivered when promised, and I would recommend them. ...just be prepared to negotiate.
