A local auto shop I've visited twice since moving to the South Bay for oil changes. Glows: Prices are fair and the shop keepers move pretty quick! I call before I arrive to ask if they have time to service my car. Only once did they ask me to visit a few days later. I appreciate them not overbooking and working within their means. Grows: I have a few concerns from my visits but definitely not something too worrisome. They did not (or do not know how) reset my oil change light and I had to do it myself twice. They also weren't always wearing their mask though it appeared to be because they forgot versus them being anti-mask. Will definitely be back! read more

I came in for the first time with my Uncle's recommendation and I'm glad I listened because I needed to get a couple of things repaired on my vehicle and the experience was great. I came across this shop with the need of having them to perform a vehicle inspection. I wanted to purchase a vehicle from a private party and decided I would have the potential car purchase be inspected before I handed cash to a stranger. Oh my goodness!! Richard the son was amazing, he saved me from purchasing a vehicle that was crashed and repaired yet the seller denied not knowing about it since it was a car from an auction and had a "clean title" which the car did have a clean title yet was crashed and not reported. Richard took his time, made the seller sweat a little with questions about the car, he was not going to fool Richard a professional mechanic with lies. Richard did his Job and really looked for my best interest. I made the best decision by meeting the seller at this shop and have the professionals do what they do best. Richard was friendly and super honest. This place is where you need to come for honesty and reliability. read more

I live two blocks from here and never even looked at the place twice. That is, until I had to renew my car's registration and I needed to get it smogged. I had never had to do that before, so I didn't know where to begin. I started looking for the Smog Check blue signs. When I saw the one by the house, I decided to go there. I pulled up and asked if he had time for a smog check. The guy motioned for me to pull in. He immediately started getting my car ready for the smog test. He was quick and chatted with me, as the test was running. In and out in less than 15 minutes. The place was clean and the prices were good, too. I might start coming here for oil changes, since they are like $35, which isn't bad, compared to some of the chain places that I've been using. read more

As most people who don't know shit about cars etc. we take them to a mechanic. before that I decided to see if I can fix the problem myself because I didn't want to waste the mechanic's time with a simple fix and my money with a easy fix . Well I did what I could didn't work so now I was forced to take it to a mechanic. I live right down the street from South Bay auto repair read the good reviews and proceeded and headed on over . When I got there ,there were 2 mechanics sitting outside , I pulled up and was greeted with a blank stare by both of them because they didn't speak English and hear I am trying to ask them questions trying to communicate to get the ball rolling trying to get my car fixed. Okay that didn't get me anywhere so out comes this short 5'2 Mexican guy already has a stank face attitude for what ever reason . I start asking him questions yada yada yada . It's gets to well 140$ just to plug the machine and see why your service engine light is on . I ask him can we go a little lower? "No" okay .asked him is that about the going rate 140$ around here "that's what I charge" sheesh okay. Then little man starts to say with an attitude. "I don't like to waste time or money and I was in the middle of something" Well I stoped him right there and said" you have a good day sir sorry to waste your time. " just lost out on a customer all cause you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and wanted to have an attitude. Now with all that being said if the little man was the supervisor and he was so busy and he didn't like to waste time and money. Maybe just maybe if you would of hired employees (mechanics) that would of greeted me right when I got there I probably would have never met little man and I probably would have left my car to get it fixed .maybe next time . Yeah right I would never in my life think to bring my car here . Reading the good reviews them gotta be fake or just family and friends writing a good yelp review to help out . I drive by this place often to and from work. My check engine light has been on in my car for a while now. I'd been told it was the thermostat which was merely "dirty" and not to worry. Richard took really good care of my car, a 2009 Honda civic, he checked the "check engine" light and replaced my thermostat at a fair price. He also did an oil change for an excellent price. No more Valvoline for me! He also priced out how much to fix my rearview mirror on the drivers side that I have attached with duct tape. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here! read more

Came here to do a smog check which usually takes about 15 min at other places it took 45. The guy doing the test could not drive manual, he stalled my car about 6 times while doing the test. And all around struggled throughout. Not coming back and not recommended. read more

Right now, I'm split down the middle. I've only been to the shop twice once for myself which went great and a second time for a family member which the car was held for close to 14 days now and counting for service that should only have taken 6 days max. The thing that really gets me about this is that I'm calling for updates because no one at the shop has extended me the courtesy to follow up.
