We are so fortunate to have found Eddie through thumbtack. We hired Eddie and his team to take 8 hours worth of photos for our wedding and we couldn't be happier! Eddie and Alex were right on time, at both locations before the wedding (for the bride getting ready, and groom getting ready). And that's not easy as he drove from LA to San Diego for our wedding. As soon as they arrived, they got right to work. They took control when it was needed, angled us for the best shots and caught so many wonderful memories! We were fortunate to get married on the beach and the sunset photos Eddie and Alex captured are absolutely breathtaking! We also hired them for the photo booth and their photo booth is not your typical one - it is a full on studio style setup with Alex taking the photos! Great shots and memories were made! When we were searching for a wedding photographer, one of our non-negotiables was to receive every photo taken, even if it was an accidental shot of the grass. We wanted everything. Most photographers we spoke to would not agree to this. But Eddie was open to it and worked with us on it and ended up giving us ~3600 photos (40GB)! Yes, 40GB! :) That doesn't include the photo booth photos (which were another ~175). His honesty, hard work and incredibly friendly personality won us over! We hired Eddie to be our photographer for our wedding. First of all he did a great job with our engagement pictures. So we couldn't wait to see what he would do with our wedding pictures. Now for our wedding, his whole crew did a great job. They were very professional and on top of everything. Whatever we needed we came first to him and did all he could to make our day memorable. Eddie is amazing! I did alot of research on photographers prior to selecting Eddie. Actually, Eddie was a referral and thank goodness for that! At first I thought that it was weird to meet him at a starbucks but from the first meeting to the very end, he was patient with all my crazy bridezilla demands. On our wedding day, because lets face it; that is the most important day, he was professional and on point. I was too busy running around and greeting guests but he stuck by my side telling me where to pose and reminding me that we should get certain shots. If it werent for him, half our wedding photos wouldn't be what they are. we all know how expensive Weddings are and let me tell you that Eddie's prices are very fair. I was planning my LA wedding from another country and they were so helpful in coordinating everything I needed, always responding quickly to emails and making the process easy. My friend used Eddie as her wedding photographer a few years ago and the pictures turned out amazing! So when I got engaged, I didn't even research photographers, I went straight to my friend and got Eddie's phone number. Here are the reasons why Eddie is amazing: 1. He has great vision of settings, backdrops, poses, etc. and makes sure everything is perfect. 2. He is extremely professional and flexible so you never have to worry about whether he is getting all the pictures you requested, if he will show up on time, if he is prepared, or anything of the sort (and speaking from the bride's perspective, this is SUPER IMPORTANT on the wedding day!) 3. He is so kind! He even came to our rehearsal just to check the lighting, understand how the service was going to flow, learn where everyone would be sitting/standing, etc. (again, this goes back to his professionalism in #2 above.) 4. He photoshopped over 4,500 pictures from the wedding day and when he was done, he gave us every single picture taken that day. We own all the pictures and there are no stamps on the pictures or copyright regulations on using any of the pictures!! THIS IS KEY, FOLKS!! 5. His prices are more than reasonable, especially if you consider all the "extras" that are included in his packages, such as a free engagement session, a free photobooth at the reception, 500 free prints of your choice, a slideshow on DVD, and every picture from the wedding on a CD-ROM. 6. Him and his team are simply wonderful people! We spent 10 hours with them on the wedding day (and another hour during the engagement photo shoot) and it is simple, they are nice people that you enjoy being around! Given that you are spending one of the most important days of your life with your wedding photographer, you had better choose wisely, and I know I did! 7. They are fast at getting the pictures back to you. He provided us an online gallery of all the wedding pictures a month after the wedding (again, there were over 4,500 pictures which had all been edited and photoshopped by him and his team). Once we took our time and chose our top 500, Eddie turned around the 500 prints, slideshow, and other extras within 10 days! I know friends who have waited 4 months to get their wedding pictures back! My friends and family have all told me how amazing the photos from the wedding turned out and that I was lucky to have Eddie...I couldn't agree more! He was a bit quiet at our consultation appointment, but his selling strategy is to show the work he's done, which is very good. He worked with our budget and gave us a great deal. Great service and profession job on my son's Birthday Party!!

Planning our wedding was not always easy. You have so many things to think about, flowers, centerpieces, invitations, venue and so on. But when it came down to the photographer I was immediately drawn to Eddie Hon with South Bay Studios. His photos were all so beautiful and his pricing was very fair. When meeting with Eddie he was very professional and accommodating. He had a calming way about him that made you feel as though you did not have to worry or stress about anything. The day of the wedding came and Eddie showed up on time and ready to work. I was not as organized as I had thought I would be but Eddie made everything work. He made his way around the venue to shoot all the before scenes and both myself (the bride) and the groom getting ready. He was very quiet and moved around everyone so seamlessly that I had forgotten he was there. He also went above and beyond by helping myself and my dad put on his boutonniere. During the ceremony, all of the photos came out BEAUTIFUL! There are angles that I cannot imagine him getting without making himself known, but again he was so discreet. During the portraits, the wind was very heavy and our families were very fidgety (they all wanted to go party inside..). Eddie was able to get everyone together and get all of the family portraits completed quickly. He focused on the bride and groom photos mostly making sure that he got as many as he possibly could with the time frame we had. Let me just say, I cried when I saw the photos. He was able to capture the little moments that I thought were only between my husband and I. He shot multiple stances, so our options were not limited. During the reception, Eddie made sure he took pictures of not only the wedding party but all of our guests. The candid photos are so great and really tell the whole story throughout the night of eating, dancing (drinking..) and two families becoming one.
