The videos look amazing, and my wife and I have been watching them nonstop for the past few days. You can provide your own HDD or SSD for the file transfers, or he can provide them for you. I tossed all the videos into a Plex server and stream them to my 75 inch 4K TV and they all look fantastic. Audio completely flawless and in sync too. Many of them were upscaled to 1080p and both picture and audio are great. If you're into audio/video stuff you'll have some great conversations with him. If not, don't sweat it and he'll take care of everything... you don't have to worry about a thing. Mike is super nice dude, does a great job, and his pricing is fair too. I will absolutely go back if I can dig up more old tapes that need digitizing. Some of these tapes have friends and family members who have passed away and these videos are quite literally priceless to us. You have no idea how happy my wife and I are. I originally reached out via YELP and he responded within 24 hours with upfront pricing, and exactly what I needed to bring if I wanted a USB conversion. He told me he would have the job done within a week, and he delivered in less than a week. I suggest you either call or message them with what you need, and they will tell you upfront if they can or cannot do it and how much it would cost etc.

Kizzy and Alice absolutely delivered. They cleaned my apartment top to bottom. Baseboards, surfaces, floors, everything. They even did my laundry which was such a huge help. I stepped out to run errands while they worked and came back about four hours later to an apartment that felt completely reset. The space looked amazing and felt so much lighter. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

You had time to make reparations before I walked out (visibly upset) and made no effort except to apologize. Apparently you don't mind giving a patron bad service but you DO mind negative reviews. Reviews are our only recourse these days and you need to be aware of that before letting potential customers walk out unhappy. I'll give my business to someone else.

I recently used a popular and highly rated service to digitalize 250 slides in anticipation of sending them several thousand if I was happy with the result. While most of them came out fine, many of them were blurry or dark in spite of the fact that the slide itself was crystal clear. The service told me they would be happy to redo the process and correct the problems, so I sent 50 slides back to them for the second try. The result was slightly better than the initial go-round but, incredibly, they charged me for the postage and also the redo on the slides. Subsequently, in speaking with Paul at DVD Your Memories, I learned that many digital service providers run the slides, prints etc. through an auto-loader and never look at the result. He informed me that DVD Your Memories, on the other hand, reviews everything one-by-one and corrects if necessary. I ran the 50 "redo" slides through DVD Your Memories and the result was excellent - a true digital copy of the slide itself. While DVD Your Memories is more expensive than many services out there, I now understand the reason for pricing and for me, the extra expense is worth it. At a family gathering I mentioned to a niece that I came across youth cheerleader pictures of her from 37 years ago. She was excited hearing that as she claimed she had no pictures of herself cheering at that time. Finding a place to make copies was daunting until I learned about 'DVD Your Memories'. On my initial visit, I received prompt attention. My request was to have the negatives digitized, a dvd copy of an old dvd of video clips and also to have the dvd digitized too. I was nervous about sending all my MiniDv tapes off imagining that they could be lost forever but after looking at quite a few of the companies on-line that do transfers to DVD, I decided on DVD Your Memories. It was a good choice. The turnaround was literally days rather than the weeks I expected and what came back was just as advertised. I sent in 18 tapes and it cost a bit more than I had hoped but now I have access to all the content on those tapes (went for transfer to both DVD and Hard Drive) and it's hard to put a price on that! My wife and I have enjoyed watching all those old videos of our kids on vacations, in school performances and at family camp. Lot's of memories there.. 25 years ago, my sister recorded an interview she did with an aunt and her daughter about our family history and its immigration to this country in 1917. Answers to questions we've long had. I found DVD You Memories in Torrance through a Google search, and I'm so glad I did. I took them my microcassette on a Friday afternoon, and they transferred the contents to a friendlier thumb drive media, and they somehow improved the sound quality, made 10 copies and had it ready for me the following Monday afternoon. Quickly, expertly, and reasonable priced. That interview is absolutely important to me because all three people on that tape have been gone now for several years. I was a walk_in customer who did not read any reviews or have any referrals. When I called the South Bay "DVD Your Memories" store, I was impressed by the friendliness, and the helpfulness of personnel. I've had VHS tapes converted to DVD as well as music cassette tapes converted to CD and the quality of the transfer is excellent. The technicians working on the transfers are knowledgeable and always contact me if there is a problem with the tape or when further direction is needed thereby insuring my absolute satisfaction with the end result. For several months I brought in a total of 36 VHS tapes, DVD's and a couple flash drives to copy to an external hard drive. Memories were preserved as far back as 1938. Customer service was great and the price was reasonable. The work was completed ahead of schedule and one VHS that was defective and had audio problems was rectified when it was re-recorded. Considerable patience by employees was appreciated as I am 84 years old and needed help in navigating all the technology. My grandson was able to understand what was required to transfer the copied items onto flash drives for other members of my family. Totally positive experience. read more

I have needed to get some CD's transferred to a flash drive for about 5 yrs. I do not have the know-how to get it done, and the friends who wanted to help just could not find the time. So finally, my daughter found DVD Your Memories online, and gave me the phone #. I called and about a week later it was done. The guys at DVD Your Memories did a great job for me. I gave them 2 VHS tapes filled with short videos of our family from 35-40 years ago. They put all the videos on a USB drive, all 13GB. The pictures played perfectly, but in my haste to make copies for my children I deleted parts of the original. During a short call to Paul (the South Bay store manager) I found out that they still retained my original files and were able to recreate a new USB drive for me for FREE. I am beyond words! So much precious footage that I thought was lost forever. Paul and his crew are absolutely wonderful. I'm working on a documentary, and have started the process of transferring hi8 tapes -over 200 of them. For the bulk of them that my deck wasn't able to transfer, I've been mailing off to Paul. My buddy in Florida sent me an old (1967) reel-to-reel tape which was recorded at 15ips speed. The company he previously tried to use took 5 months before finally sending the tape back to him with a only a note that said, "could not process". I had 2 reels of my Dad's old 8mm film the late 50's to early 60's. Had no idea what was on them; maybe nothing! Was overjoyed to see the results. What they have instead is a temp front office (no relation to the business itself) that prepares a paper invoice and have you leave your item with them. The item then gets picked up, inspected at a later date, then a quote is given to you either by phone or email. This is extremely inconvenient for the customer as there is no onsite assessment that can be done which means you're obliged to travel back and forth to a nonexistent office. It's lazy at best, unprofessional at worst. Responsiveness was hit or miss -- more often than not, my calls were not answered but I did get a call back on the same day and the man answered all my questions as patiently as he was able. However, I can't recommend this place given the concerns listed above.
