I am currently in town for business & walk to your store every day for a cup of coffee…read more I am reaching out regarding an experience I had at your store today, September 21, at approximately 4:30 p.m. I sincerely hope the store has cameras that can help verify what occurred. When I entered the store, I attempted to order a large black coffee. The young lady working, whom I believe was named Tracy, appeared to be more focused on entertaining and talking with a male patron than assisting customers. When I asked for a black coffee, she told me, "We've already cleaned our machines." I asked, "So you're not making any more coffee?" and she responded, "No." I pointed out that the posted closing time was 6:00 p.m. and that it was only 4:30 p.m. Her response was that they had been slow. I found it very concerning that a customer would be refused a basic menu item an hour and a half before the store's posted closing time simply because business had been slow and the equipment had already been cleaned. I then approached another employee, whom I believe was named Am, and asked for the manager's contact information. He explained that he did not have it but immediately asked if everything was okay. After I explained what had happened, Am stepped in without hesitation. He asked what kind of coffee I wanted, went over and made it for me, and apologized for my experience. When I attempted to pay for the coffee, Am would not allow me to do so. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to correct a situation he did not create completely changed my experience. I am bringing this matter to the owner's attention because I believe the original interaction needs to be addressed. At the same time, I strongly believe Am deserves to be recognized. He demonstrated exactly what good customer service should look like--he listened, took ownership of the situation, resolved the issue, and made sure I left feeling valued as a customer. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner or manager regarding this experience. I also hope the appropriate recognition is given to Am for going above and beyond. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.
