When cutting back tall Eucalyptus they used professional roping system for both their safety and to lower heavy branches. We have an acre of property on a hillside in Escondido and the grass was overgrown and very dry on the top and bottom lots. Not only did they clean up all the dead grass for fire prevention, they also did a beautiful job lacing out a birch tree in our backyard. We had a back yard that had overgrown over the rain that we got. Every thing needed a haircut. Tree trimming, bushes, lacing our large tree, trimming our overgrown our Birds of Paradise, Trimming our Mediterranean Palm Tree, which no other trimers had touched. We were looking for a tree service to trim a banana tree that had never been trimmed by any of the previous owners in, like, almost 30 years or something. Found Robert on Yelp and called to set up what was our 3rd bid. He showed up on time and was very nice and professional. He was right in line with the other bids we got and we called him back to set up a time. It took a bit to get a hold of him, but he was able to come out a day or two later, which was nice. We got home and had mixed feelings about the outcome. One of the most important things was that we wanted to retain the privacy that the tree gave while removing the dead parts, so we wanted as much in the middle to be salvaged as possible. It ended up that the tree had way more removed than we expressed that we wanted and quite a lot of the center trees were removed even though they were alive, which is the part that is now bare. That said, however, the tree does look amazing and the neighbor was very complimentary of Robert and his crew. She told us that they were very efficient, removed and put all the debris in a wood chipper and cleaned up amazingly well. Couldn't even tell they had been there. I had a fairly simple job. Nine significantly overgrown junipers and 4 palm trees. I've seen some real hack jobs in the neighborhood and I couldn't be happier with the results. The estimate was more than I'd hoped but was handed the estimate and a copy of their liability insurance at the same time which was nice. I assumed a couple guys with chainsaws and a pickup truck. Oh NO! Five professionals in full safety gear with a full on chipper descended upon our home at the agreed upon time. The results were FAR superior than what we expected. They reduced the heights, thinned, and removed all the dead needles and when they were done it was like Santa was here . . . not a trace. How they thinned the trees while making them look like they hadn't been hacked is beyond me! All the dead needles they spent time shaking/removing from the trees, every needle gone! Everything. ESCONDIDO TREE SERVICE I would like to note an exceptional performance by Escondido Tree Service. They removed two giant eucalyptus trees the branches of which presented a possible risk of falling and damaging our neighbors home and property. They had to go and we knew that it would be a challenge. The same situation existed for a large pine tree on the south side our property with a similar risk to our home. The entire job was completed in one day, starting at 7:30 in the morning and wrapping up by 4:30 in the afternoon. The cleanup is the most important part of the job because if they leave stuff lying all over the place and I have to clean it up, its no bargain. When they left it was immaculate. Everything was fed into the chipper, raked up and a leaf blower swept our entire patio completely clean. There was not so much as a single gum wrapper or anything else left behind they actually left the place cleaner then they found it. We had no idea where to find a reliable service provider so we started our search on Yelp. We saw the great reviews and figured we would request a quote. Our representative was prompt with our appointment and gave us a very fair quote for the services needed. We had another company come out and quote us for the same work and asked for almost $400 more, so we passed on that company and went with Roberts. The day of the service, the team was EARLY and had a large portion of the work completed before we even got there. The larger trees needed stumps ground down, so there was a risk of hitting some of the pipes to our sprinkler system. We knew the risk and took a shot. Although a few pipes were hit, the team quickly repaired and replaced any of the parts damaged, which was greatly appreciated. Called to get an estimate to have 2 of our queen palms trimmed, 1 palm cut down, 2 Oak trees trimmed. Out of 3 estimates, this was the cheapest. After the estimate, CA went into quarantine and we thought that we would wait until it was over. After waiting for a month, we decided to have them come anyway, since our exposure would be very little since it is outside work. I then realized it was too late in the season to have the Oak trees trimmed. Robert agreed, he would just do the others and come in fall or winter to do the Oaks. I was impressed with the way Robert described how he was going to trim certain trees, telling me he would cut more on this side than that to help straighten them out. And watching a worker take special care figuring out how to drop a large branch without damaging the rose bushes made me feel very confident in the care they were taking. Upon meeting Marcelino, he gave me a fliar and a copy of his liability insurance. Talk about efficiency! On the day of the job, we were not there. When I came to see the job at the end they left already. I could not even tell which tree was missing and the palms were trimmed beautifully and they they left the grounds immaculate. They are efficient, and highly recommend them for excellent work, fair pricing, and wonderful service. They are my go to team for any tree or palm trees above 12 ft. Robert's just trimmed our trees for the third time in about eight years and his crew does such an excellent job I had to come and write a Yelp review for them and put them on the grid. We first hired Robert when our trees were big--now they're montrous--but his crew climbs up them and, skillful as surgeons, they cut out just the right branches to keep them beautiful and prevent our neighbors from complaining about overhang into their yards. Just like we did four years ago, we Yelped and Googled other tree services here in North San Diego County and received five bids, and once again Robert's Tree Service was over a third lower than the next lowest bid. Last year, I'm afraid we made the mistake of having our gardener trim the trees with the disastrous result that he topped all the trees--trees that we planted because they grow taller and narrower than most to accomodate our long and narrow backyard--what a mistake! The other companies quoted me 60-80% higher. Robert was extremely responsive and able to work around my schedule. His guys showed up on time (actually they were 10 minutes early), friendly, went straight to work, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. They took extra measures to make what fronds fe the palm tree would not damage the other plants near the base of the tree. I didn't even think about his being a problem but they knew what they were doing. A few of the fronds ended up in the neighbors yard and they asked nicely and cleaned that up also. After hauling all the fronds to the truck, they end used a leaf blower to clear up the back yard.
