Flores Tree Service is an amazing company. Ishmael and his son Andrew are always professional and friendly, working well with the customer, listening to the customer's plan, and offering excellent ideas and advice. We are preparing our home to comply with the Zone 0, California Fire Code (effective 2026). The code requires 5 feet around the home that is free of anything flammable including woody trees and bushes. First, the Flores Tree Service removed 5 Italian Cypress trees, a bottle brush tree, and several bushes. The crew of 5 was extremely well organized and worked efficiently and expertly. Next, the Flores Tree Service created an area for the trash and recycling bins away from the house by removing part of a small hill, building a wall, and paving the area. Crew foreman Adrian and his entire crew expertly completed the job Finally , Adrian and his crew removed the cedar shingles and wooden decorative window box shelves on our house and stuccoed the areas. We had Ismael out to remove a huge pine tree that was causing problems with our neighbors water supply. It was right on the property line and I was worried about the fence being damaged. He completed the job in a single day and the pine tree was a giant pile of mulch. Ismael stopped by after the crew left an was upset that they had not done a good enough job cleaning the pool so he was out there for a couple hours cleaning the pool. After seeing the excellent job Ismael did with a neighbors trees, we had him and his crew trim our palms, citrus, and eucalyptus trees. We are extremely pleased. The crew was very professional, the clean-up was excellent, right down to skimming the small amount of debris that landed in the pool. They even carry their own pool pole and net. The trees are all beautiful again, very nicely laced. Ismael and his son, Andrew are very knowledgeable and customer oriented. We are looking forward to a long term relationship with them. We have had Flores Tree Service as our tree trimming and removal service for several years now. Ismael Flores has always been helpful, observant, and understanding of our needs and has made meaningful suggestions as well. He, his son, and crew have invariably been polite, good-natured, and helpful, as well as being fastidious about cleaning up after their work. Last week the rains uprooted several small trees that fell down on our fence. Ismael was able to come out, and set a date to remove those trees as well as trim two other trees on our property. I have used Flores Tree Service many times now. I first called Ismael Flores as a reference from a friend about 10 years ago. He was one of four competitive bids I received to trim the trees at my residence in Poway. He was the cheapest price, so I selected him. He and his crew were out there on the scheduled day, and did a great job. Since I work during the day, I was just going to leave him a check, but he insisted on meeting me at the job and going through what he did to make sure I was happy before he would accept a check. What? How refreshing to hear that someone actually cared that the customer was happy. Needless to say, he did a great job, and I paid him. Since then I have used him probably 3-4 times at my residence, and another 3 times at my place of work. Ismael and his crew have always done great work, they get it done when they say it will be done, and he never collects money until he knows I'm happy with the work. First tree service, needless to say my gf and I were apprehensive, seeing as we had an overgrown 100 ft tall by 50 ft wide pine tree to deal with, plus a few other "smaller" oaks and ashes. The first tree service didn't ask for my input, only took cash, seemed quite overpriced (but at that point I couldn't be sure), and was trying the whole time to convince us to do things we didn't want to do "out of safety". I don't have a to be a tree service expert to spot some trademark California salesmanship. Second tree service we called was Flores. Ismael, the manager, came early, and the first thing did he did was ask me what I wanted to do with the pine. Simple, right? That defined the whole experience with Flores. A simple, honest, nice, and extremely professional crew. they worked really fast, with minimal fuss, and the quote was very reasonable. It also helped put me at ease that you can pay with a credit card, like one would expect from every non-shady business out there. As long as he was here I showed him the rest of the property and we agreed that 3 other trees needed trimming/ lacing/ shaping. Wow, Superb job! I have been a property manager for over 20 years and have hired many companies to assist with tree and landscape issues on my properties (usually with much frustration and disappointment). However, I have never experienced the level of service and professionalism that I have had with Ishmael and his team from Flores Tree Service. I had 3 tree removals that needed to be done at two different properties on the same day. Ishmael was very accommodating in scheduling the work on both properties on the same day. Each of these trees required careful removal due to their close proximity to sewer, water and power lines, cement foundations and other complicating features. Flores tree service cut the trees, manually removed the stumps and roots, replaced all of the dirt and replanted all of the surrounding foliage, and left the site looking better than when they started- minus the trees. I feel very fortunate and grateful to have met Ishmael and to be able to use the services of Flores tree service and landscaping in the future. He makes my job much easier! We needed to have 4 large queen palms trimmed and didn't want the tree trimmer to use spikes. We found Flores Tree Service from a flyer left on our gate. I contacted Ismael and he said they don't use spikes and they also have a wood chipper. His rates were reasonable and I contracted him. Ismael came out with his crew and got them started and then came back before they left to inspect their work. His crew was careful around my other plants and they did and excellent trimming job. They cleaned up the job site and made sure the street was also cleaned up around the chipper. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

I really hate to write a poor review because Mr. Flores is a very nice man. He did a good job on trimming our trees and our Queen Anne palms on previous occasions. We had him out to trim the trees and palms again this year. He showed us pictures of some sego palms that he had trimmed the day before, where they had shaved the trunks. They looked very pretty and he advised we do this to our sego palms. He shaved the trunks of 6 sego palms and they did look very pretty. But in the first couple of months, we had 2 of them tip over and had to be removed. Now all but one of the sego's have tipped over, the trunks cracked they had to be removed. These sego's were planted 20 years ago and we are very disappointed. The remaining sego is also starting to lean and we fear it will also tip over in the next couple of months. It is so sad to have to remove these 20 year old palms because of the trunks being shaved. read more
