After completing six sessions, I saw little to no noticeable reduction in hair growth. Throughout the process, it became increasingly apparent that treating women with my skin tone and hair type was not something this business had significant experience with. Despite following the recommended treatment plan and attending multiple appointments, I did not receive the results I was promised. Because I was not seeing any improvement, I canceled my final two appointments. When I called, the receptionist apologized and stated that a manager would contact me. The manager did reach out, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the laser technician to review my progress and treatment history. Unfortunately, after that conversation, I never heard back. There was no follow-up, no explanation, no concern for the lack of results, and no effort to address my experience. What disappointed me most was not only the lack of results, but the lack of customer care. Once my concerns were raised, communication completely stopped. It left me feeling as though the focus was on collecting payments rather than ensuring clients achieve successful outcomes. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage women of color, particularly African-American women with coarse hair, to thoroughly research a provider's experience treating diverse skin tones and hair types before committing to a treatment package. My concerns were not taken seriously, my results were nonexistent, and my attempts to seek answers were ultimately ignored.

Took a few days off work to recover. Treatment was very painful and felt as if staff was annoyed that I was uncomfortable and could not relax. Two months later booked a follow up as I saw ZERO results. Dr Rosten actually agreed and suggested I do additional treatments at additional costs and time off work. When I mentioned that it was getting pricey, she shrugged and said it does cost a lot to look good. Will be seeking out more compassionate med spa or just stick with my wrinkles!

Everyone there is extremely polite, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain every product they're putting on your skin. One thing I really love is that they customize facials based on the season. Our skin changes throughout the year, especially if you have sensitive skin like me, so I appreciate that they focus on products that actually help your skin improve and stay healthy. I have pigmentation on my skin, so I decided to upgrade my membership to the $299 package, and honestly I think it's a great price for everything they do and use during the treatments. I can already feel and see the difference in my skin. Jordan, who does my facials, is amazing, and Devon, who does the pigmentation procedures, has also been incredible. I consistently book my facials with Mark because he is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to understand my skin and what it needs. Mark does microderm every time I come in since the skin resurfacing benefits my skin. Microderm is typically an additional cost when you get a facial elsewhere, so getting it done monthly as part of the standard rate for Glo facials is amazing. Mark has also recommended Glo products for me to purchase, so I can up my home skincare game. I look forward to every visit to see what the theme will be! Favorites have been matcha, watermelon, and apple. And there are typically decorations and candy at the reception to go along with the theme - how sweet! Facials are always relaxing and rejuvenating, and I love the music they play as well. I recently added on the Tox subscription, so now I book my tox appointment every 3-4 months after a facial. I love that they offer both of these services here so that everything I'm doing to my skin is under one roof, and they can complement and inform each other.

I found a groupon for Mary and decided to give it a try. She was so warm and welcoming from the first time I talked with her. We set up an appointment, where she explained electrolysis 101 and got started right away. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled!! It was so nice to have someone explain the entire process to me, what exactly she'd be doing and how it works to get rid of hair. (Side note: did you know that electrolysis is the only *permanent* hair removal method?? Not laser! I had no idea.) Mary's Fort Mill studio is clean, simply and beautifully decorated, and is designed to put you at ease. I think she also has a home office, but it's further from me so I haven't been there. Ok, I'll be honest here: electrolysis is no walk in the park. It hurts like a b*tch. But Mary is so sweet and will adjust the settings to make sure it's manageable for you. She also has numbing cream you can buy in sample packs for a small fee. Plus, Mary is quick! So even though it's painful, she gets a lot done in a short amount of time. Electrolysis is a commitment. During my first appointment, Mary warned me that it's a process and I needed to trust the process.
