Years ago however, this clinic was less than stellar under past ownership, but now it's been GREATLY improved. The office and rooms are super-clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly and caring. My experience was like 'night and day' compared to prior visits. A big positive was the short waiting time...At most walk-ins, you can expect to wait almost an hour to be seen. My waiting time was at most 5-6 minutes. I also didn't have to sit in the patient room for very long either. I was immediately greeted by a friendly nurse and the doctor (Daniela Turacova) just a few minutes later. Dr. Turacova is simply one of the best medical doctors in Rhode Island. Her bedside manners are second-to-none and she's very accommodating. She will ensure that you'll feel better and the time spent with her never feels rushed. It's apparent that she truly CARES about your health and well-being! By comparison, at many walk-in clinics I felt like I was just a number at a deli counter. East Providence Medical has earned my business and trust, and I would encourage you to give them a try. I couldn't have been more SATISFIED with my visit....They are HIGHLY recommended!

Cons: The wait is exceptionally long considering the patient-to-staff ratio. It's an $80 flat fee to be seen without coverage, which is reasonable. They didn't pressure me to do x-rays, but upon the doctor's recommendation and being told that the x-rays were usually around $40, I decided to do one, and my foot was indeed broken. They fitted me with a walking sandal and an Ace bandage and I paid another $55 upon checkout, which seemed extremely reasonable. I recently received an unexpected $270 bill. No itemization on it and they didn't apply the $55 I paid at checkout to the balance. I have no idea what I'm paying for. They told me when I checked in that x-rays were around $40, which is the main reason I opted to have one. Even if it was $40 per view, they only did 3 different views. I'm not pleased with this place. Probably would've given them a 3 or 4 stars before. Thanks to this, they're getting a 2.

The express is really handy if you need a quick examination or x-ray after an injury and is so much better than going to an emergency room or even a walk-in with sick people coughing all over you.

Our nurse was nice but a we both agree she was a warm body. She thought after being with us for a little while that he was having a different surgery? Red Flags! She cleaned the wrong area for the surgery. He wasn't shaved until the eleventh hour. As we sat and joked around waiting... we overheard a lot of nurses conversation. I heard multiple swears. My husband made a comment about professionalism. He doesn't much comment about those things. His 'hospital' bracelet had a little piece attached to it that would sent me updates, which helped alerting me when he was out of surgery and could receive visitors. I loved this aspect. Recovery was great. Nurses were informative and helpful. Overall not a terrible experience by any means.

It was well kept, plenty of parking, everyone (including my Doctor) was incredibly nice and knowledgeable and most importantly it was super clean! I was pleasantly surprised to even notice how wonderful of an experience I had and altho I don't want to be sick, it won't be more of a painful trip if/when I do have to go back.

I was worried about the surgery because this could affect my gait. I made the call and received an appointment with Dr. Michael Reuter. I hit the jackpot! From that appointment until my release date, Dr. Reuter has been fabulous. Not only did he take excellent care of my foot but he also made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Of course, I had many, many questions but Dr. Reuter always took the time to answer every one. I suffered a lisfranc fracture in my left foot about 4 years ago. It looked terrible. My regular…read morepodiatrist referred me to Dr. Shemenski. I went to Memorial, had a CT done, and then went to Dr. Shemenski's office. He had access to the films as soon as I got in the room. I am so grateful that I was referred to him. He decided not to do surgery, which would have required months upon months of recovery. His assessment was that the bones were displaced but not enough to warrant surgical intervention. It's now 4 years later, and I'd say he was right!!! It still took a few months to recover fully, but I think if I ended up with another DPM with lot's of surgical experience, I would have been operated on. Thanks!!!!

I saw Dr. Rogers who has a great personality and he takes the time to listen you. I love that he dictates the patient's notes in the room with you so no mistakes. Dr. Rogers came to see me before the surgery. We discussed, because of my allergies to medications what he would do for after surgery medication. After my surgery he showed me the before and after X-rays. I've had a lot of surgeries and I've met a lot doctors.
