Years ago however, this clinic was less than stellar under past ownership, but now it's been GREATLY improved. The office and rooms are super-clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly and caring. My experience was like 'night and day' compared to prior visits. A big positive was the short waiting time...At most walk-ins, you can expect to wait almost an hour to be seen. My waiting time was at most 5-6 minutes. I also didn't have to sit in the patient room for very long either. I was immediately greeted by a friendly nurse and the doctor (Daniela Turacova) just a few minutes later. Dr. Turacova is simply one of the best medical doctors in Rhode Island. Her bedside manners are second-to-none and she's very accommodating. She will ensure that you'll feel better and the time spent with her never feels rushed. It's apparent that she truly CARES about your health and well-being! By comparison, at many walk-in clinics I felt like I was just a number at a deli counter. East Providence Medical has earned my business and trust, and I would encourage you to give them a try. I couldn't have been more SATISFIED with my visit....They are HIGHLY recommended!

Cons: The wait is exceptionally long considering the patient-to-staff ratio. It's an $80 flat fee to be seen without coverage, which is reasonable. They didn't pressure me to do x-rays, but upon the doctor's recommendation and being told that the x-rays were usually around $40, I decided to do one, and my foot was indeed broken. They fitted me with a walking sandal and an Ace bandage and I paid another $55 upon checkout, which seemed extremely reasonable. I recently received an unexpected $270 bill. No itemization on it and they didn't apply the $55 I paid at checkout to the balance. I have no idea what I'm paying for. They told me when I checked in that x-rays were around $40, which is the main reason I opted to have one. Even if it was $40 per view, they only did 3 different views. I'm not pleased with this place. Probably would've given them a 3 or 4 stars before. Thanks to this, they're getting a 2.

I had gone to a different Doctor and the shot though effective was extremely painful. So, once I realized i was going to have to get one again...I asked around and I was told about Dr. Bigelli. To my utter surprise I was quickly given an appointment. The assistant Nancy was very nice, but the best was yet to come. Dr Bigelli came in took x-rays and the decision to give me a cortisone shot was made. Every effort to minimize my discomfort was made...of course there was pain, but only half of what i had received in the past. I highly recommend this Doctor.

My mother unfortunately is still a patient there. They did not tell her she had cancer- she found out over two weeks after Dr Kerzer got the results by a separate doctor outside the practice she had happened to go see. She had a biopsy done on Monday and is currently in pain. When we called the office we had to speak to the on call doctor. After a 2 hour wait he called, said he doesn't know the specifics of her case and won't prescribe anything to her, and she should wait till Tuesday when Dr Kerzer is back in the office or go to the emergency room. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Surgery scheduled easily and I was in by 6am and home soon after noon. I did feel like I got rushed out of there but that's the hospital not the office Had an allergic reaction within 24 hours. Called and sent a picture, absolutely no help at all since I wasn't willing to drive over an hour there when I was still slightly groggy from anesthesia Isn't that why we can send a picture? To avoid an unnecessary trip, not to mention dangerous- asking a patient to drive 36 hours after surgery. I'll deal with the side effect so I don't risk my life or anyone else's. I was very disappointed in that and then my post op was fine but the attitude was chilly because I chose not to continue with a revision- at that time. It wasn't off the table but I wanted to give it a try and I'm glad I did because after a rough start, I'm doing great. So yes, I totally recommend Dr Giovanni, she's friendly personable and did a great job but was disappointed with the after surgery care and the chilly reception at my post op. I won't say avoid her, but if you're prone to allergic reactions or issues after surgery have a back up plan with your primary. She is a busy surgeon with a broad repertoire of skills and her staff got me an appointment in short order for my problem. Unfortunately, she had a surgical emergency that required her to cancel office hours, but the fact that she deals with such serious cases in addition to her other workload means she is a very competent, broadly trained physician. When she did finally see me, she was able to address my problem and fix it rather quickly, offering a timely solution. Note that anyone can perform surgery, now they have robots that can do it, but what distinguishes a good surgeon from a mediocre one is that the competent surgeon knows when *not* to operate or perform a seriously invasive procedure. Thankfully, Dr. Giovanni knew exactly what to do and I was sent on my way with a much less invasive procedure than I had anticipated. Her bedside manner was excellent, and she not only answered all my questions, but treated me like a human being and gave importance to all my concerns. Overall I would happily refer family and friends to this surgeon!

Strong practice Convenient bloodwork…read moreTechnologically savvy It's high time for an update, and I have both more and better things to say about Wayland Medical ~12 years in. Getting appointments with the practice has been notably smooth throughout my time with them; the staff is willing to work with you based on your needs and clinician availability. I've also enjoyed seeing a few of the other practice members (eg Benitez, Berg, Rodriguez), each of whom is thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. The use of the Healow medical app as a portal, and their fully integrated connectivity to electronic medical record systems, has given me peace of mind that all my instances of care are suitably connected in one place. It's also convenient to be able to head downstairs for a quick and easy blood draw when required - and again, clear results are available in the app shortly thereafter. I've also noticed the patient set is younger than it used to be - not just geriatrics anymore. As important as anything above, Dr Ruggieri is friendly and engaged during visits, as the rest of the staff I've dealt with are also. I definitely have a "medical home" at Wayland Medical.

If it is at 11, I am taken in at 11 or at the most 5 or 10 minutes later, and if so he is apologetic. The whole experience from the help in the office to Dr. Meer himself is always professional and pleasant. I highly recommend him.

He doesn't treat your pain and everything is because of your weight. If I had listened to him regarding my heart issues I would have died. This inept POS completely missed my mitral valve that was torn almost in half. I went to another internist, because I didn't trust Meer and the new internist caught my heart valve issue on the first visit by comparing a new EKG to one in the records from Meer's office. He sent me immediately to a cardiologist who had a cardiac echo done that showed the torn valve. A few weeks later and I had open heart surgery to replace my mitral valve. Surgeon said if I had listened to Meer I'd be dead! Stay away from this guy unless you want to see the worst doctor in history!
