Unfortunately billing practices are unusual that even if you have insurance they will charge the office visit and 20% copay upfront. So expect to pay a lot up front. The office would also benefit from stress reduction classes as the front desk staff is quite curt sarcastic and display quite a defensive attitude. We were surprised about their billing and asked to be billed but were greeted by confrontational behavior...if you can get past the behavior- what counts as patient care from the doctor is amazing.

I am on several prescriptions - and probably will be for life. Ialways go to the office in the Baptist Medical Arts building (main Baptist campus). I recently was running low on a medication I need to take daily. I contacted the office three times and my pharmacy tried three or four times. Lesson: NEVER leave a message on the voicemail when requesting prescription refills because they never follow through. Consequently, I was out of the medication for nearly an entire week until they got their act together. The worst of all? They "approved" it and sent in an order for one pill. ONE. After I contacted them again (and my pharmacy called, too), it took them several more days to get it right and send the refill order. I go through this every time I need a prescription refill from this office. Either someone isn't doing their job, or the system is useless. Or both. So, I keep coming for my doctor. That's my only reason.

My dad had a 3 hour tinnitus evaluation, which is very thorough. She recommended a variety of things including hearing aids and I was able to accompany my dad to the fitting which was also extremely thorough. She spent about an hour with my dad and really took the time to make sure he was happy. We never felt like she was trying to rush us out of the office, which is pretty rare to find these days. He saw Mr. Edwin Feijoo, whom he says is an outstanding individual. Mr. Feijoo was patient, understanding and truthful. He started off by telling him, that he didn't need a hearing aid based on his hearing loss. When my husband explained about the tinnitus, Mr. Feijoo knew exactly what he was going through, and was very understanding and companionate. They spent over an hour going through all of the hearing aid options, never once pushing to make a sale. I visited with him a week ago to determine my need for hearing aids and, if indicated, to discuss the various products available and their cost. After agreeing that I was a candidate for hearing aids he said he would check with my insurance company to see what coverage was available to me and we would meet again to discuss the cost. When I visited his office earlier today he told me that there was no insurance coverage available and asked was I ready to buy his product. When I told him I needed to think about it as it was a substantial expense, he got angry, belligerent, and even threatening and said he couldn't make money with a customer returning multiple times and he asked me to leave.
