If you've ever suffered from chronic severe plantar fasciitis you know the hopelessness, frustration, despair, and chronic pain that greets every day. At one point I honestly was just feeling like please amputate my foot and just be done with this! When your mobility is effected, it has a domino effect on so many other areas of our life. For example with that kind of pain constant, I was no longer able to go to the gym. So then My stress level started increasing because I couldn't burn it off sweating it out. Then I started eating more food because I got stressed. Which made me put on more weight. Which made me more depressed. Which caused more pain on my planter fasciitis because I was carrying more weight on it and putting more pressure on the heel. Then I started getting more irritable. And my relationships started to suffer. I was not able to participate in recreational activities or even take a nice hike in nature. Which started to effect my sleep patterns. Which then started to effect my work performance. I think you get the picture. But I can tell you, after 6 months of almost weekly treatments utilizing a combination of the shockwave machine, special custom designed insoles, special footwear, and even CBD pain relief cream it created an entourage effect that ultimately healed my injury. She got up in a huff and unlocked the door. I mentioned I left messages to make an appointment and she yelled at me that I had not. She hadn't even asked my name. Then she asked what insurance I had, and again told me the doctor wasn't in. Then she started going through the phone history to see if someone left a voicemail to make an appointment. I told her not to bother since I was there now and she glared at me. I then realized I needed to do her job and ask when I could come in another day. She asked when I wanted to come in and after I told her she said the doctor wasn't in that day. I left. I had heard Dr. Bernkopf was very nice and I figured he must be to put up with her. Shame.
