To begin with, this place is in a dirty building off of a main highway and is in some small side office. I almost left after pulling up But had already boughten the groupon. They are very pushy and try to sell you classes, products and other services the entire time you are there. Once in the room there are signs posted every where telling you how to tip them, insinuating that their clients are cheap or not intelligent enough to properly tip. I found this rude and intrusive. I paid over $100 for 3 body wraps which only consisted of some topical cream, a cheap exfoliate and then wrapped in cling wrap only to be put under a blanket! They claim you lose inchs but they measure you fast and very loose in the beginning but very tight at the end, giving the illusion you've lost inchs. This place is a complete and total ripoff!!! DO NOT waste your money here! Go to a real spa that offers correct body wraps! read more

Hello, I got a Groupon voucher for 3 body wraps with South Jersey Health and Body place. I received an e-mail from the office that my appointment was scheduled for 11:00am. I had to drive to this place for 1.5 hours . After I got there, I was told that someone made a mistake with my appt time, and I had to wait. I actually waited until 12pm... After I was finally invited into the room, the lady started to take measurements of my body holding the measuring tape very loosely. I asked her if I can double check her measurements. She told that she had no time for this and refused to give me the tape. After the secession was over, she measured my body again, but this time she simply left the room and never explained to me what were the results. I waited for her for another 10 min, but she never talked to me since she was already taking care of another client... The whole idea behind this session was to see if you loose any inches of your body.This experience was extremely upsetting and disappointing. There is no way I will ever go back to this place. read more

This review is not about the weight loss program itself, as I have not purchased it, but about the employees and the business itself. I received a phone call one day asking if anyone within my household wanted to lose weight. I was told about a seminar they were having, but I was not given ANY information about type of weight loss program they were offering. I asked many questions but was constantly told that if I came to the seminar, all of my questions would be answered. I eventually went to the seminar and learned all about the toxins contained within food and drinks and how these toxins are not only what cause people to gain weight, but are also the reason for pretty much very illness (cancer, stroke, heart disease, diabetes, etc. - even allergies). Now I can see how these toxins can affect one's health, but I highly doubt that toxins are the only reason people are dying from cancer. During the seminar we learn that their 'product' is a detoxification, however you have to pay $25 to find out exactly what type of detoxification they are offering. I personally had attempted a detoxification before (not through them) and became violently ill. To 'detoxify' oneself, you essentially have to eat nothing but fresh food (not exactly a brain teaser) but you also have to take a lot of supplements and drink only a liquid concoction (that you have to buy through them) for 2 days. It is a cycle of eating certain foods for 7 days and then only drinking this detoxifier for 2 days. This liquid is what made me violently ill. I could not stop vomiting for 3 days and this is just after a couple of sips of this liquid. Therefore I informed the people at SJ Health & Body of my past experience and asked if their program required something similar (having to drink the liquid for 2 days without any other form of nourishment). They still would not give me a straight answer and said that I would learn everything I needed to know during my consultation. I stressed to them, that if I have to drink something for 2 days straight, then I would not be interested in their program, due to my previous experience. They however informed me that they can alter the program to the individual's specifications. After they told me this, I paid my $25 and made an appointment for my consultation. At my consultation I was informed that I have a high amount of Candida (yeast) in my system and they explained how their program could help me rid this from my system, etc. I was there for over 2 hours and was only informed about the harm toxins can do to one's body (essentially a longer version of the seminar). I was never given information that was specific to me, with the exception of that they recommended the Candida plan for me. I was then informed that the program cost $3680!!!! Yes, 3 THOUSAND, 6 HUNDRED dollars. The guy I met with had a program book in front of him and explained that I would fill out the forms within the book and come into the office once a week for a regimen of treatment that would last 2 hours (yes, 2 hours every week. Seriously? Because I have so much extra time on hand). I was told that the program lasts a total of 12 weeks and that is pretty much all I was told. I was then asked how I wanted to pay for it. Essentially he preached to me the entire time and then tried to take $3,680 from me without answering a single question. When I informed him that I had questions, he seemed annoyed but said he would answer them. I asked him what the program was, said that he still has not given me any information on the actual program, just the results that might be possible. He said that you eat lean meats and vegetables and that the program would explain everything. I asked if I could look through the program book and was told that I wasn't allowed until I purchased the program. I asked him if the book provided, or if he could provide, sample shopping lists and example recipes. He said that he didn't cook so he couldn't tell me anything. Seriously? You are selling a product but you can't answer any questions. Maybe you should have someone else meeting with your potential customers. Now that I have rambled on, here is the short version: Received a telephone call informing of a weight loss seminar. Asked what type of program they are promoting; told to come to the seminar to find out. Go to the seminar, informed about toxins and how their program will help detoxify your body and help you loose weight. Asked what the program entailed, was told that I have to pay $25 to find that out. Paid $25 to learn more about the program, was told that I would have to pay $3,680 to learn the complete details and ins and outs of the program and how it exactly worked. Not eating anything for 2 days is not healthy. Save your money and go to your doctor, he will be able to set you up with a diet and exercise plan that will help you more than this program ever could. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!! read more

I don't happy with company name is south jersey health and body in barrington nj They are rip off my money. I pay cost is 75 dollars I show up two appointment but other appoint I call cancel then change schedule because I was sick but they cost me 25dollars fee because cancel on appoint the change schedule. I can't expect I was sick ...I drop those place they profit my money and rude.....I think opinion body wrap not work successfully for me ....I am not appericiate their policy...if you need call complain file. DO NOT GO HERE!! This place is a total rip off! I was struggling with my weight and saw a sign for a weight loss challenge. I went to this 45 minute meeting and got sucked right in. I went back for a meeting with Danny and $2000 later I was a member. With this they gave you an eating guide and one free wrap a week. First of all if you work than you can only schedule the wraps at night and they were always booked. If you do manage to get a wrap they pressure you to tip on top of paying the $2000.00 for the program. The kicker is my so called nutritionist was heavier and more out of shape than me! I could not take advice from someone like her. She obviously was not following the same diet as I was. I lasted about two weeks and never went back. I wasted $2000 and was told I couldn't get a refund. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

I got a Groupon for a full body wrap and a month later, scheduled my appointment. When I went in today, after filling out the forms, they told me that they could not do my wrap because I was taking a low dosage of asparin, which is a blood thinner...for crying out loud I take a BABY asparin! Nowhere on the website or the Groupon advertisement did it say I could not have this done due to a medication. When I made the appointment, the woman I spoke with on the phone never asked me if I was taking any medications, or warned me that I would not be able to hae the wrap done if taking a blood thinner. Very poor business, in my opinion. They attempted to get me to try their sauna instead...I don't want to sit in a hot box for a half hour...I wanted to do a wrap, which is what I had paid for. They were all extremely disorganized and scrambled around trying to figure out how to refund my money. At first, they did not want to, and told me that I had to get refunded from Groupon. Um, no. It is not Groupon's fault that their advertisement did not specify that certain people could not do this wrap due to their medical conditions. Therefore, it's not Groupon's responsibility to give me my money back. Further more, if i DID try to obtain a refund from Groupon, I would have only gotten credit towards another Groupon purchase, which I did not want. I wanted my money back. The owner finally came, and even she was scrambling around the desk area for such things as paper, as apparently they no longer have a secretary and no one there knows what they are doing. The owner again tried to get me to try one of the other services they were providing, but I refused, as I wanted what I had paid for and made an appointment for. They did finally credit me my money on my credit card, which I appreciated, but I cannot believe how disorganized they all were, and I am extremely unhappy that I was not warned ahead of time that I could not have this done due to BABY asparin. They did tell me that I could get a lovely doctors note and then they could do it. Yeah, let me go pay a copay to see my doctor so he can write me a note saying it'ss okay to do a beauty/weight loss wrap. IT would cost me more in a copay for the doctor than it did for the Groupon, so I just chose to get my money back. I will be looking into different places from here on out, as they clearly did not know what they were doing. Disappointing, since they are so close to my house. read more

I am so greatful for the fantastic service received at South Jersey Health & Body. I went for a Boday Wrap with Kathy. I cannot begin to tell you what a great job she did. I was very pleased with the wonderful service. Not to mention all the great information she provided. In addtion, I had to the chance to speak with Dr, Benenfeld, regarding nutrition and some issues I've been having with my stomach. I love the fact that he took the time to answer several questions I had relating to nutrition and the effecfts of what may be lacking in my diet. He also took the time to send me a great article on the digestive system. Also, they offer a free weight loss seminar, that is for proper nutrition as well. You can tell he is a great doctor and really cares about his patients and anyone who needs information relating to a problem you migh be having. They offer several diffent services along with Chiropractic care. I cannot wait to go back and look forward to my next service. I've been to many differnt health and wellness center but South Jersey Health and Body truly is the best. I highly reccomend all of their services. Its really worth the trip! read more

I feel healthy and look good again!!! This is something that is really important and means a lot to me. A coworker of mine got help from South Jersey Health and Body and I would watch her daily with her new eating habits and see her fat melt off her body! She was looking and feeling so good that I was very envious. So I started by meeting with Dr. Benenfeld and then that turned into educational information accompanied by motivational support that shifted how I think and view eating. It's hard to describe the feeling of losing so much weight, so fast, and having a burst of energy that makes me feel like I took a youth serum! But that's how I feel. My friend told me about a wrap they got at South Jersey Health and Body and they really loved it, so I decided to try it for myself because I needed to fit into a dress that was way too snug for me! From the get go it seemed like the best form of wraps I have read or heard about. The office is pretty and relaxing to be in. I felt very pampered from the moment I got there, with a nice lady bringing me back into a very relaxing, cozy spa room. I felt amazing after and my clothes have been looser ever since... and stayed that way! The inches did not come back, which really pleased me. Another side effect I was not expecting was that my sore/arthritic knees have felt great since doing this and was told this was an effect of the herbal cream. Great experience!! I did a weight loss program here over a year ago and kept every pound off! I lost over 45 pounds and still weigh myself once a week and have not put one pound back on. I also wear shorts now because I am comfortable how my legs look and how I look in the shorts. Recently I was around ice cream and desserts and I did not have cravings for them like I used to! I also have this unbelievable amount of energy, that started about 2 weeks into the program. I used to get my nephew to do everything in my house. Now I do my yard work, the laundry, moving furniture. The other day I got a toothbrush out and got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed all the tiles on my floor. Words can't describe how loosing 50 lbs feels. I look and feel AMAZING!!! Dr. Benenfeld, Natalie my nutrition coach, and the rest of the staff of South Jersey Health and Body have been working with me since July. Yes, 5 months. The inches lost from the Body Wraps had everyone looking at me with big smiles for Thanksgiving. I even wear yoga pants out in public. Because of the coaching, I know how to make the correct choices when I eat out with friends and it couldn't be easier. The weight is staying off, even with the holidays. My 7 year old daughter said "Mommy, I recognize your face but not the rest of you." I have tried other weight loss plans before but nothing worked. I purchased a Groupon for an anti cellulite wrap. Making the appointment was very easy and the staff was very friendly. The person (I believe her name was Heather, this review is months after my appt) that wrapped me was SUPER nice and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all! She explained what she was doing as she was doing it, and also talked about other things to help me not feel totally uncomfortable. It is a little awkward to be standing in your bra and underwear while someone is putting cream on you and wrapping you in something like plastic wrap. It was very relaxing though and there were result from just one wrap. I personally noticed a difference in my "love handle" area. If I didn't have moved out half way across the country I would definitely be going back here again. read more

This was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time! The staff is top notch... they all made it an extremely comfortable experience for me, they were all so social, and the front desk receptionist was just down right sweet. My body wrap technician, Kathleen, was so full of life and we really had a great time making conversation and (being as though you have to undress down to your undergarments) we just chatted as if we were old friends. Not to mention, Dr. Danny was a pleasure to meet... he gave great tips and doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. You can really open up about your personal experiences without judgment. I would come back anytime as well as recommend all the women in my family/my close girl friends to come here. read more

I am so glad I found South Jersey Health and Body. If you are looking to change your lifestyle and pursue weight loss, that is exactly what you will get. I was always so scared to stand on a scale and I gained the confidence with the support needed to get done, finish what I wanted and to stay this way! Best weight loss center!! I was inspired by South Jersey Health and Body and Dr. Benenfeld to start my new years resolution early this year! I was looking for a weight loss program and have tried so many others in south jersey. I have changed my eating ways and already lost 18 pounds in one month. This is where you come right before your next big event! You really do lose inches and it helps with your fit in your clothes. I've been here twice and I love it! Only problem I have is that I live in Baltimore and they are in NJ, if I lived in Philly id probably come once a month! They also offer classes for free if you're thinking of losing weight. I know cause I am on their email list, and the emails are really helpful and I really want to come, I just can't make it from Baltimore to jersey that fast on a Tuesday night. Awesome weight loss program! Recently, I attended a free weight loss seminar with my friend and was intrigued by what I heard and so my friend and I signed up for their weight loss program. And both of us are so happy that we did! You really lose weight on this program and feel great while doing it! You get to eat all natural foods, no prepackaged expensive meals buy. Not only did my friend and I lose a lot of weight but our energy increased, my skin and stomach felt so much better, and the team at South Jersey Health and Body are so supportive and helpful. Well I finished my program about 2 weeks ago and I lost a total on 31 lbs! I cant explain how much this has changed my life..I know that losing the weight improved my health but the biggest difference I noticed is in my confidence...I have been more social, going out and having fun with friends when before I never wanted to go out because I couldnt find anything to wear and I hated the way I looked...Dr Danny and the whole staff are so helpful and Im sure at some points I was unbearable...Im so glad that I hit my goal weight and I think with Dr Danny's help I will be able to stay at my goal weight from now on. read more

I lost 60 pounds in 12 weeks with South Jersey Health and Body and their weight loss program!!! My energy is really good, better than it's been in a very long time. I now can play with my kids without being annoyed or just wanting to sit on the couch. I am sleeping through the night without tossing and turning. I didn't even work hard to get here. Just did an awesome 3 day detox diet and 3 body wraps at South Jersey Health and Body! I am going away and wanted really badly to lose about 5 (well really 8) pounds immediately!! To my pleasant surprise, I lost 11 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks!!! And now I CAN'T WAIT to put my bathing suit on! This is the best weight loss program I have ever done or even heard of!!!! I actually got my husband and kids to cut back on dessert foods, which is more important than me losing weight. My total weight lost is 41 pounds and my husband lost 25 and he is not even on the program! He just did what I did. Very caring people at South Jersey Health and Body. So glad I found this place before my surgery for weight loss!! That was something I did not want to do at all but was almost at my last resort. I am very grateful I found them and they helped me in so many ways like the emotional eating and that whole side of weight loss. I lost 75 pounds in 6 months! The plan is real easy to follow and do. I am so thankful I found Dr. Benenfeld and South Jersey Health and Body! They put me at ease from the moment I met them and made me realize that I am not alone in my life long weight struggles. I am so happy I finally got rid of my food addictions! I never realized how bad food makes your body want more of it until I cleaned out my body and changed my diet. Major breakthrough!!! I also forgot what it feels like to have a ton of energy. The bad foods I was eating was stealing my nutrients and draining me.
