I am on session 4 out of 6 now and am already seeing such a difference. Getting close to hairless ! The technicians are always so pleasant and friendly during the experience. My first visit, I was so nervous but because I have gotten waxes she told me that it wouldn't be painful just some heat and pinching sensation is certain areas. Shaving before your appointment is a must, but the laser works best when the hair is shaved down. I've learned that it's best to go in with a fresh shave and not after a full day of work. I've had laser as well as chemical peels here and neither of them showed any signs of improvement. They don't have a list of services they offer with explanations of what they are. Most of the staff is very nice except for the manager/owner. Every single time I've been here she's given me attitude, a hard time or changed her mind about something. I bought a package and put it on hold bc of doctors orders and she charged me when I used it months later bc prices changed. Why if I bought a package would the price change for me? If you want to be treated like a child with no improvements on what you came for, go to this place. I'd rather take my business anywhere else than here. read more

Im usually not the person to post reviews, even though we all really should, but i absolutely have to because i really couldnt be happier with my experience here. I got a gift certificate from my wife to do hair removal on my back after making her shave me every other week (she wasnt happy after the 2nd time ). i did a series of 6 treatments of laser hair removal and WOW.....im almost speechless at how effective it was! Wife is super happy too LOL. Not only were the treatments fast and effective but the staff was more than friendly, super accommodating, and i never waited once for any of my appointments. They do an amazing job scheduling so that appointments dont conflict with eachother (i know how hard that can be with my job, so bravo to them) Id give them 6 stars if i could, thank you again south shore laser you guys are awesome!!!! read more

I made it to my first appointment, accidentally missed my second and when I arrived for my following 3rd appointment they told me I owed $100 for a missed appointment. No one ever told me that, nor informed me of any further policies. Ontop of that at the last appointment when they asked for the payment beforehand, I was extremely upset and decided to cancel that days appointment. They then told me when I decide to return I would owe $200 in order to receive further services. read more

After months of laser removal, 7 sessions to be exact, My Brazilian area looks like it's never been exposed to a laser. Considering I have dark/thick hair which is considered "ideal" I wasn't expecting for all of the hair to magically disappear but I was hoping I'd see some improvement at least. When I voiced how I was unsatisfied with the results I just kept getting told "You're a perfect candidate for additional sessions, here's $20 off your next session". A complete joke honestly. So I too also bought a Groupon voucher for 6 sessions for my bikini area. I gave it two stars ONLY due to the fact that I did not have a good result. After completing my 6 sessions I was still having hair growth especially in a specific area (which is tmi to state). After my second session I realized I was seeing no results in the area, but yet the growth slowed everywhere else. During each visit thereafter I complained to the esthetician and although she tried to pay more attention to the area .. it just wasn't enough. Point is, my hair growth slowed but it never disappeared and a couple months later my hair growth is back to normal again. My boyfriend also bought the 6 session Groupon voucher for his chest area and even paid for two additional sessions (which were $100-something bucks EACH) totaling 8 sessions and literally a couple months later he has full growth like if it was never done. It was a waste of time and money. The pros are, the Esthetician's are amazing, they make you feel comfortable and the place is very professional. Their "new expensive" machine really did not cause pain at all, but I guess that's why it didn't really give the results we were looking for. read more

I bought a Groupon. I went for six laser hair removal sessions over approximately 8 months. Scheduling was usually pretty easy. There was never a long wait time at my appointments. The estheticians were knowledgable and comforting. The laser hair removal experience was not as bad as I was expecting. I received 6 treatments and now approximately a year lately I shave my underarms only once in a while for a few hairs. They recommended 3 further treatments for a full permanent loss but I am happy where I am now. read more

If you are looking to reduce facial wrinkles, don't waste your money! After multiple treatments I was very disappointed with the lack of results. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was told that since my wrinkles were deep, I couldn't expect great results. I wish I had been told that before I underwent multiple treatments and paid thousands of dollars. I was then offered additional treatments at a higher price per treatment! I received the groupon for 6 sessions for my birthday. I chose to have my neck done, since it was always a spot on me that brought my confidence down. My first session last month was with the tech Marissa who is absolutely amazing! She reassured me it wouldn't hurt, and that I would notice a difference in two weeks. I go for my second session this Friday morning, and she was right.... I really have NO hair on my neck! The front desk staff is also extremely helpful and very kind, they make you feel right at home! I had an appointment today that I needed to cancel. I purchased a groupon and I needed to reschedule my appointment not cancel it. I work in healthcare and my patients are disabled and very sick. The bulk of them live in group homes and have little to no family. In any case I cannot predict medical emergencies. The tasks particularly during this pandemic are sometimes insurmountable. Apparently this 5th rate company has a 24 hour cancellation policy where they will charge you $50 for cancelling? This is odd because they seem to have tons of appointment times available so it's not as if they are busy. I was told I had to pay this even if I wanted to reschedule. The groupon was $70 why would anyone pay such a fee? , The woman who answered gave me a canned answer, "it's written on the groupon", to which I replied, "no problem I will go somewhere else. I contacted groupon and got a refund. This is a sublime practice for a business that wants to lose customers. Laser specialists are a dime a dozen and not few and far between. I'm giving 2 stars because the technicians were nice and the place is clean. However, I received 6 laser hair removal treatments on my underarms and saw NO results. Initially, I thought it was working because after each treatment, the hair would become thin and fall out and take a while to grow back. It did, though, eventually grow back as thick as ever. I was very hopeful that this would work for me, but it looks like I'm going to have to just live with shaving my underarms :-( By the way, I got a groupon for the 6 treatments for $99. I thought it was such a great deal! I'm wondering if the technician didn't use the strongest level on the laser hoping that I would need to buy more treatments. Just a theory. The one time I went hurt a little more than the previous times and she said she upped the laser... Makes me wonder why they didn't "up the laser" every time. I went to South Shore Laser for skin tightening after I seen their services advertised on Groupon. The Groupon was for three sessions in one area. After the consultation it was recommended due to my age (late fifties) I should consider a more intensive tightening method... a three step process, one session a month for six months at a cost $2400. Since I have aging skin I was told that the wrinkles around my mouth would disappear and so would the dark circles under my eyes but the wrinkles on my forehead would need fillers. I was very happy with losing the wrinkles around my mouth and dark circles so I signed up. Unfortunately after the six very painful sessions (my skin is sensitive) the wrinkles around my mouth were slightly less noticeable but still very visible. I asked if a few more sessions around my mouth only would help and the answer was yes. After two more sessions at a cost of $180 each and no difference at all, the technician implied that I should consider fillers instead. Additionally, the dark circles under my eyes reappeared a month after my initial six month treatment ended. It was also confusing to have before and after photos taken and then to be told that I would have to come back at another time to see them. Could that be because the difference was so minimal that they didn't want me to see them? Unfortunately I found out later that the procedure often times doesn't work on mature aging skin. Aside from not being informed at the onset of that and of the possibility of pain due to skin sensitivity, the results did not even come close to what was told to me at the consultation. I am relaying my experience to caution all those with mature, aging skin that are considering this to think again. While the cost appears to be less than fillers, it might turn out to be "throwing money down the drain". read more

I have been going for over a year and a half and have not seen any results. I've spoken to the staff multiple times how the last treatments do not work and all I hear is "it's a sensitive area. It takes more then 6-8 sessions for this area. Keep trying." I've had way more then the recommended amount of treatments and nothing. They are unhelpful and blame me for the reasons there laser hair removal isn't working. I have brown/ black hair that is thick which they say is ideal for laser removal, but yet no results. I was referred to South Shore Laser by a friend because of sagging skin on my chin. I'm a guy, so it's not something I was too sensitive about, but after looking in the mirror, I thought it was a good idea. I'm only 54 years old, why look like I'm 64. The technician's name was Malisa, she was great. She explained everything in detail, the office staff was wonderful too and the place was very clean. I waited for all of about 4 minutes before I was taken to the treatment room. The procedure took exactly what I was told it would take. I was able to see a difference after one treatment. I bought the groupon deal for 6 treatments for half a leg approximately a year ago and I am really happy with the results. I went in their knowing nothing about laser hair removal but based on reviews I chose them over the many other companies giving out deals on Groupon for the same services. Their staff are mostly friendly with the exception of one woman who I had to speak on the phone with many times and every time she was slightly rude and much less friendly than all the others but every tech that worked on me was a complete sweetheart, super knowledgeable and overall fantastic. The place is clean, comfortable and welcoming enough. You're in and out in like 15 minutes and it really doesn't hurt at all, it's less painful than waxing. I had waxed my whole life since I was about 12 and had pretty thin hair to begin with and no growth at all on the back of my legs but now I have only a few hairs on the front which i take care of whenever I wax the other half of my legs. I hope to get the full leg done when I have enough money. I have a tattoo on one of my legs so be advised that if you have tattoos you can not laser over tattoos. I didn't know this at first but my tattoo is not too large so it wouldn't have changed anything, in fact it's really cool because I can see just how effective the laser was based on how hairy my tattoo is compared to the rest of my leg! lol well i would say the laser was like 95% successful on my legs! read more

I currently have one treatment left and I could not be happier with the results and with the staff in the Babylon location. They were always more than accommodating with my schedule, as I work full time and usually late into the evening. This new laser center is a much-needed addition to Babylon! I've been to the huge, impersonal, clinical 'medi-spa' places and those hair-removal factory-ish places. This place is NOTHING like that. So they pay to take down bad reviews. I had a consult with an obnoxious consultant name Anthony who does not even do any procedures and has no formal skin training but is a complete know it all. He was telling me about what he has to offer me when It wasn't even what I came in for. He then made me listen to a long marketing scheme and two videos about the laser 360 before giving me a price.. So you know the price quoted was over 300 down for a hold the appt fee that is mandatory and then 190 for 6 treatments they do that so it sounds better than telling you it's over 320 per visit. The hold the appt. fee is ridiculous. After that they will call you non stop but not leave a message on your phone. Wierd! read more

I'll start off by the most important thing and that is the procedure, the laser treatments I have received here did not only live up to my expectations, it has made a huge impact on me. i feel great and super confident due to the lasting effects. after the first session, I started seeing immediate results. Went there for the second time and had a horrible experience. I have only done laser once before and no one really goes over what to do before. So needless to say I went for my first appointment for a different area and she started telling me how I should have known to do this and not do that, as if I've been doing laser my whole life. It would be nice if someone alwould walk u thru this. The front desk had quoted me two package prices, one excluding an area. So when I went in for the appointment and found out that the excluded area couldn't be done, they tried to rip me off and not give me my money back. After I explained that no the price drops without this area, she rolled her eyes and said "oo yea, well in that case I'll credit it to ur next treatment." At this point I doubt I go back and will definitely talk to management about getting my money back. Would not recommend the services here. A smile wouldn't kill u, and neither would it kill u to atleast pretend to care. I don't think that's too much to ask for when u r taking my money. read more

Wow!! I have had 6 treatments and I cannot tell you how amazing the results are. I have been getting full leg/Brazilian/and underarms. My life has changed. I am sorry that I didn't do this 20 years ago. The esthetician that I prefer is Kristen. Not only does she make an "awkward" service - not awkward- she moves the wand in such a way that it is not actually all that painful. I have a very low threshold for pain - she is amazing.
