I'm confounded by the negative reviews. I was greeted politely, treated respectably and courteously. My appointments were with Dr. Starr. He was patient, gracious, and knowledgeable. The office was running a little late on my second appointment, but the staff kept me updated ....unlike some of my other doctors who leave me sitting , and waiting for 45 minutes. i appreciated Dr. Starrs professionalism during my exams, and the fact that he personally called me with my results. ...immediately. I have been with South Shore Urology for over 15 years. Care has been very good and office experience good. I'm happy with them.

My visit today was seamless. Receptionists were friendly and efficient. Very short wait time. Dr. Kim was also very friendly and thoughtful and answered all of my questions. I had seen negative reviews before going there and was skeptical but whatever issues previous posts presented, were not there when I went. I would definitely recommend. Just my two cents. read more

As with most of the reviews I see about this practice is praise for the doctors and slamming the staff. I agree with them. The place is hostile, the staff are stressed and miserable. If you go there shut up and obey orders and you will be fine. read more

This place turned out to be awful. No help at all. I saw Dr Feldman and he listened but mumbled. I have a hearing disability so that didn't help. And he did alot of testing but no helping my health issue. And I was going away out of state on a trip for a week and felt urgency / infection coming on but he did nothing about it and Said I'd be fine. And to me if I'm not call the office even on off hours and they will help me. So the next day I called and they put me through yo a different doctor. Doctor Bennett and he scolded at me when I told him. Why I was calling. I knew I had an infection but he said i shouldn't have called. Only if I had an emergency. Which it was. I had bad uti and I was due to leave out of state next day for a week. That and the receptionists were always miserable. Anyways luckily I found a urgent care center that wasn't closed yet and they fixed my problem. Anyways south shore urology is a waste of time read more

Terrible experience, I have chronic UTI's, I was made to undergo all kinds of testing, yet unable to get an antibiotic without a circus with the staff. My latest experience was to wait a week for a call back, and was then told I should go to the emergency room for a refill. I am a nurse and I would NEVER speak to patients the way this practice does. Find a different practice that actually cares about the patients. read more

Dr. Start and his staff are simply amazing!!! In early 2019 he noticed through tests that something did not look right with one of my Kidneys. He took tests then surgically removed a cancerous spot. He got it so early that I did not need Chemo. Just got my most recent results back today. ALL NEGATIVE!!!!! Thanks Dr Starr ( 16 months cancer free)You and your team rock!!! read more

Have had multiple appointments cancelled by the office. Went in this morning for an 8am appointment, first of the day. Arrived at 7:45am and was told to have a seat "we will get to you in a min". Next thing I know, I look up and there are 10 people in line with 1 receptionist, who is taking care of all THOSE people. I get in line and wait, at 8:05am I'm still 9 people deep in line, no way I'm getting to see my MD at 8:00am, probably not even 8:30am. At 8:05 three more staff people stroll into the office. How can you book 8am appointments and not have staff there until after 8am? Still only 1 receptionist working on the line of people. I left, very poor management of the office. By the way, just about impossible to talk to anyone in the office, go through the phone tree, then you have to leave a message for someone to call you back, almost never happens! read more

I have had 4 disappointing experiences with So Shore Urology since 10/2018. For example my elderly dad with dementia in a wheelchair waiting over 1 1/2 hrs then found out he wasn't properly checked in. Another time arrived at an appt in January 2019 with Dad only to be told he was mistakenly booked in 2020. They wouldn't fit him in even though it was a 5 min appt.and their error. The biggest disappointment is his confusion markedly worsened, a nurse in the Urology office sent a urine culture for a suspected UTI. We weren't called with the result, When we finally received the result we were told the urine culture grew 2 types of organisms .The antibiotic prescibed would cover only one and" we will see how it goes". Because the other would require IV antibiotics .Not acceptable! Took Dad to the ER where an ER doctor prescribed an oral antibiotic that covered both organisms. We need to find another Urology office. read more

Tried calling for two weeks left multiple messages. Finally got a vm caging they needed insurance information. I called to give them info and schedule an appt. the receptionist was rude and transferred me over to make an appt. That person took my insurance info and placed me in hold for 24 min and never came back! I called back and the rude receptionist took my number and said they will call back. At this point will look elsewhere. read more
