The Academy is run by Miss Carol she and her staff have the kids safety and security and the educational needs in hand. We get calls from around the world of military families that have heard of our Academy, and with their transfer back to Dyess, they want their children enrolled. It is truly amazing to hear of the world wide calls and the happiness of their enrollment. Rooms are age specific and designed for education. Great staff, gear facilities and a new covered playground with complete building surround to keep the kids safe. This puts a great start on learning and builds our future with a great educational foundation.

She learned to read virtually overnight; however, what I have really noticed is how polite and kind she is to everyone. She is learning far more than the "three R's" at St John's. I live out of town and recently visited my family in Abilene. I went to chapel at St John's and then spent a few minutes visiting my granddaughter's class and a third grade class, taught by my daughter, who recently left public school teaching. I am a former teacher; my sister is a teacher. I had two aunts who were teachers, so I believe I can objectively say: St John's is a very special school.

I wouldn't recommend this daycare. My daughter was in child care since a young age and had always…read moreenjoyed going to school until we made the transition to this daycare after moving back to Abilene. On top of that, when our family received military orders to a different state we had to withdraw my daughter. We completed the necessary notice and paid the prorated rate previously agreed on. A week after paying the prorated rate they charged our account an additional $550. After multiple calls we finally made contact to see why a charge was made to the account and they forgot to cancel the auto draft. It's been two weeks since we've been able to get ahold of someone to get the money back to our account before we make the move states away- although knowing this it seems like we've been getting the run around for a mistake they made. Mistakes happen but to avoid us for two weeks sitting on $550 is not okay. We have yet to get a response back via phone call, email, voicemail etc not even just having the decency to explain what's going on. We move in a few days and have yet to be refunded. The lack of communication has been consistent from day one but this has crossed the line and reflects their lack of professionalism.
