Gf and I took the 2014 31F Four Winds to Lake Pleasant to dry camp for 2 nights. Rear and front pop outs were nice and made unit feel roomy. There was lots of storage space for the pit barrel smoker we brought, and host provided grilling utensils, table and folding chairs. Inside TV worked and never ended up using the outdoor. Great experience!! For three weeks and 3000+ miles, our family along with our dog traveled throughout the west in the 25 ft Jamboree Searcher without any issues. Reserved this unit at the last minute, so we are glad that Paul was able to accommodate us and coordinate pickup of unit. He provided a very thorough review of the unit during check out, which increased familiarity with the operation of the rv. Unit was relatively clean, with vaccum sealed bags which included linens and towels. Unit was equipped with 3 TVs, gas stove and oven, large shower and all of the kitchen utensils necessary for an enjoyable weekend. Unit was easy to operate and drove really well going down the highway. Campground set up and take down was quick and easy with the help of the instruction sheets provided in the unit. We rented his 32 foot rv in June for 2 weeks. Thought his prices were good. Day one of traveling we noticed the generator would kick off while we were traveling. We called for assistance and was told that we would have to pay for repair and we would be reimbursed. 1, we were on a very tight schedule, 2 we didn't plan on having to pay for repairs in our vacation fund. Paul told us to try adding oil, but when we went to do that that oil he provided us were Empty so we had to buy it ourselves. Which didn't fix the problem. Let me tell you, traveling through Arizona and Utah in June with no ac in the back, really sucked, but once we got north it wasn't a huge issue, we just opened the windows when we were traveling. When we returned we informed him that the generator never worked while we were traveling and hoped he might compensate us with something for our trouble, but no. He never offered anything. Whatever. We dropped it off and came home. Fast forward to august, he send me a bill for 4 dollars and something because apparently we went through a toll in Colorado, that's fine, it's our toll I paid it, but for him to send us a bill for such a small amount after he neglected to give us what we paid for is ridiculous. There are attached pictures that show he now tries to say the generator broke while we were traveling. Uh no, day one, wasn't working. This guy will nickle and dime you. Stay away. read more

I originally had to use Paul's RV because of I had a short turn around time and was not able to rent a trailer from the place I usually do in Tucson. As it turns out my short turn around went away but not before I was within the 7 day window for not being able to cancel without giving up my earnest money. I was able to work with Paul so that I could apply the earnest money to renting the same trailer within a year so I wouldn't lose the money. When I was able to rent the trailer again it was a different season so I wouldn't need the generator for air conditioning nor the awning to stay out of the hot sun, but since they were part of the original rental I had to take them (and not use them). My biggest complaint about Paul's is that they seem to nickle and dime everything. $35 to use a credit card, $35 to accept an insurance binder from my insurance company, $20/day to use the generator (which didn't have fuel in it when I picked it up) and $5/day to use the awning. I was then charged $35 for fixing/replacing window shades that were never used when I had the trailer. Other than that, the trailer was nice. It pulled easily and the queen bed was great since I'm 6'3" and don't fit in dinette or couch beds. If I had to do it all again, I personally wouldn't use Paul's but that is because I have better options in Tucson. read more

The RV WAS FILTHY! Every dish and utensil had to be washed before initial use. We did not use the rv storage because every drawer was dusty, grimy and stained. The mattresses were urine-stained and ancient - except for the master bedroom which was fitted with a foam mattress larger than the pedestal. All bedding was stained, smelly, musty and there were not enough mattress pads for every bed. The pillows were a disgrace - stained, smelly, misshapen - we stowed those nasty pillows and instead stuffed our extra clothes into the pillow cases. Even if they had been clean, most blankets were meant for single mattresses, so we had to make do without enough blankets for the two adult-sized beds. (Based on the appliqued image, one blanket was obviously meant for a golden retriever!) All towels, sheets and blankets were mismatched and looked like they had been bought at a swap meet and dumped into the unsanitary "convenience packs" without inspection. The throw rug in the hallway was in such bad condition that it almost disintegrated, so we stowed that too. The cutlery was disorganized, stained and incomplete. Pots were dirty, and the one skillet looked like it came from a child's mess kit. The electric skillet was broken and too dangerous to use - missing a non-stick spatula anyway. The kitchen sink had previously leaked into the drawer that held plastic bags, tinfoil and garbage bag liners, which were all unusable due to water damage and mildew. Promised (and expected) but not provided were dish soap, toilet chemicals, soap dish, soap bar, scrub brush, adequate number of lidded coffee mugs, wine glasses, adult-sized plates, cereal bowls, beverage glasses, pizza pan and an adequate supply (2) of paper towels. We paid over $100 in cleaning fees for WHAT? On the bright side, by some miracle, the tablecloth was new, the slide-outs actually slid out, and we managed to find enough steak knives! I also learned a lesson from this, my first RV rental: always inspect the RV in plenty of time to cancel if the rig is deficient. (Next time, I will...) read more

I do not take writing negative reviews lightly. In fact I can not recall the last time, (if ever) I felt the need to take to the internet to express frustrations with a business. In fact I won't define this as a "negative" review just yet. I'll leave that to you... Allow me to share our experience with Paul. Let's begin with stating that neither myself nor my counterparts involved with this rental stepped foot on the property or even laid eyes on our chosen trailer. We set out in Feb. to select a trailer for the upcoming event Country Thunder 2020. We found one we agreed upon online through outdoorsy and proceeded to contact Paul to check availability. It was available for our desired dates and Paul advised us to go ahead and book directly through him...so we did. Easy enough, lucky us, score, one less thing, yay... or so we thought... Amid the chaos of a newly developing pandemic sweeping the U.S. we watch as cities shut down and citizens prep for social isolation. Shortly thereafter we get wind of a systematic cancellation of social gatherings, sporting events, concerts and festivals everywhere. CT had yet to confirm a final decision however the probability of cancellation was all but certain. We were projected a final say the last day of March. March 16th- We received a preemptive email from paul stating that if Country Thunder in fact cancels we would not be receiving any monies in return. Period. Here is an excerpt from an email sent to all the customers affected... *"YOU AGREED TO THE FOLLOWING POLICY BEFORE BOOKING : If a booking starts less than two weeks away, the rental fees will be charged in full. If a booking is greater than two weeks away, a minimal $550 Earnest Money/Reservation Deposit will be charged. If you cancel within two weeks of the rental start date, you will loose all monies paid up to that point."* This is more of a WARNING for future customers... I acknowledge I did sign the paperwork, and I read the policy, But I misinterpreted this specific part. Thats on me. There is no cancellation, peroid. So...FYI! In summation, if you sign any paperwork with this guy he has you for $550 MINIMUM! Doesn't matter if you book a month in advance and cancel 2 weeks prior or book a whole year in advance an cancel the next day. He has you, and he charges that card ASAP. Moving on... In his email he also states that if we do not make a decision to cancel by the 24th of march the full cost of the rental (around $1100) would be charged to the card on file and that no monies would be refunded... that's 3 weeks prior to our scheduled reservation on the 15th of April... 1 week earlier than previously stated "2 weeks" above! What's going on there? So now, as the customer we have two choices... cancel our reservation now before we know for sure CT is cancelled and lose $550...or cancel on or after the 24th of the month and pay the full $1100... when we still wouldn't have the final decision available. Unfortunate. Things happen. OK But this is where it gets Frustrating. I called Paul, and asked if there was anything he could do to provide some flexibility on a refund for the current situation... Paul stated on the phone that it was Outdoorsy that handled the refunds and that their policy was very strict, there was nothing he could do. If we wished to cancel we would have to login through the Outdoorsy website or contact Outdoorsy and cancel. I contacted a representative of outdoorsy and explained our situation. She took a moment to review our booking and informed me that the contract, policy and refunds are handled by the business owner (Paul) and that if we wished to receive a refund it would need to come through him. She offered to help in any way she could and said ultimately we could choose to file a grievance through outdoorsy against the business. I called paul again and informed him of the information I received from outdoorsy. After a pause he quoted his policy and stated that there would be no complete or partial refund of any kind. He said we could still take the trailer and "just go somewhere else"... after that the best he could do is give us a credit for a later date... So he could, but he won't... the truth here would have saved all parties time and headache. We cancelled, but not through outdoorsy, we couldnt, we signed up through paul, remember?... so that took some extra time. Thank goodness it wasn't the 23rd!....the $550?,... most we've spent on emails in... well ever. Ultimately the $550 will not throw us into crippling debt...we were more or less okay with the loss. But I know many other renters may be seriously struggling with this slight-of-hand cash grab; An inflexible, preemptive, dishonest runaround where customer service and the customer were last priority, despite the current extenuating circumstances. We personally will not be returning to Paul for future rentals. It's disheartening to see this happening despite current events. AKA: A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. read more

First things first, this was my first attempt at getting my feet wet with diving into the pool of the RV world. It has been something I have wanted to experience for sometime, and Paul from Southeast Arizona RV Rentals was by far the best person to usher in the new experience. Paul was extremely helpful, and was attentive to our needs. He ensured we were able to find a suitable RV(33 ft Minnie Winnie) for our specific needs. Let's face it our dogs run the show, so pet friendly was a must!! We were able to reserve the RV less than a week before our trip! Secondly, Paul took special interest in ensuring that we understood all of the important information about how to operate an RV. The RV was clean and stocked though we brought our own stuff because of our dogs. We did have a small leak in the kitchen sink but it did not affect usage and Paul did not try to make us pay for anything other than usage of the RV. The RV drove smoothly and wasn't much different than driving a large Uhaul. Finally, Southeast Arizona RV Rental was extremely competitive in pricing, and bang for buck was the hands down best option. I find it interesting that in every case of a negative review about Southeast RV Rentals on this forum, the customer is wrong, according to the business owner. I imagine there is some truth to both sides. Too bad the owner can't simply apologize for the negative experiences reported. My complaint is not about the "vintage" condition of the Class A motorhome my family rented. Although, I did not find the RV particularly clean or well maintained. Nor is my complaint about the cost. Had we actually been able to take our trip, the rental would have been at a fair market price. My family lost several hundred dollars for choosing not to continue driving a vehicle we considered unsafe. We noted serious problems with the front end and/or steering system of the RV, and refused to drive the vehicle beyond the roughly 70 miles from the rental agency to our home. Yet, when we insisted the vehicle was not safe for travel, we were told that the significant front-end shimmy and play in the steering was "normal" for this vehicle. I guess having the steering column housing held together by a plastic tie was "normal," too. The business owner had the tires checked out and said his "due diligence" was done. However, the problem did not present as unbalanced or out-of-alignment tires. It seemed distinctly like a tie-rod or steering system problem. I told the owner this, multiple times. My family's financial loss and thwarted once-in-a-lifetime vacation plans were unfortunate. More importantly, the possibility that harm could come to some other unknowing customer is unconscionable. We have appealed to the owner not to rent the vehicle until the problem is resolved and sincerely hope he honors that request. read more

We rented to 24s and had a great time. It was big enough for us, but not so big it was hard to drive. It came with almost everything we needed, although we did bring many of our personal supplies. We did not receive our chosen RV but instead given and supposed Free Upgrade. The Free upgraded 8ft smaller class C for a class A bus. It smelled of cat, mold,and dirt It was so filthy that I had to clean the inside from top to bottom. Both my husband and daughter have allergies to dust, mold and Cats, and the minute my daughter stepped into the RV she started wheezing. Everything was covered in dust and stained the from the mini blinds to the refrigerator. We were charged $150 to clean said vehicle which was given to us with dirty pans, flatware and dishes. We returned it cleaner that we received it, Except for the previous stains I could not get them out of the couch and dinette seats . We tried to call them the first day Thursday 3 times, but did not hear back until that Monday and were charged $18 for 24 hour customer Service. We had to rent the RV for extra days due to there short business hours 9 am to 3p.m, but they would wait until 4p.m for us. Which is basically them working out of there home and we told not to return it at night because a neighbor might 'shoot us" My husband was pressured into sending a check and not paying with a credit card. Obviously so we had no recourse through our Bank. Do not trust the good Ole boy on the end of the phone. My husband did and we paid for it. read more
