I wanted to purchase my new Trail Manor Trailer from RV City in Huachuca City. I tried several times to get a competitive price, but the owner was unwilling. I purchased in Texas and saved over $6,000. It's sad when local businesses are so profit-conscious that they lose their local customers. The lesson: you don't have to buy here locally. However, after we made a deal on a trailer for 30k plus tax, title and license we received a purchase agreement with a $1500 dealer prep fee We refused to pay it. So GM Toby said if we accepted the trailer as is, the dealer prep fee would be waived. We accepted his offer and then Toby changed his mind and refused to sell the trailer without the dealer prep fee. This was a blatant attempt to increase dealer profit by 5 %. The service department is difficult to deal with. All we get is a runaround. It is very frustrating and disappointing. We have warranty work on a unit they installed, and they say they don't have anyone qualified to do the work. They sold us the warranty, and they need to make good on the repairs. I've dealt with their service/parts department a few times in the past and they've been OK (But not great). This year I dropped off my travel trailer for a wheel bearing re-pack. As usual they said it would take a while to do since their lift-truck is unavailable but I was expecting a bit of a delay and they did warn me if might take a day before it is ready for pick up. Today is the third day they've had the trailer so I called their service department for a status report and they hung up on me. I am now royally pissed. If you want to be 100% unhappy with service this is your place!!! The new service manager will stand you up and deliver "no services rendered" even if your RV is under warranty. We have been stood up 4 times and have to call and call to get them to send their repairmen. As a 67 year old woman and military wife I have never had worse service anywhere with any company. I will say that when/if the workers do come they do a great job. The problem IMHO is the current service manager. It does no good to have a promised appointment. Something always "comes up" and they don't even have the professional manners to call and let us know they are NOT coming!!! read more

Their customer service is so bad, I added them to yelp so I could leave a review. We needed a dealership to order, accept delivery and install our new truck camper. For placing the order, receiving the camper and installing it they would make a decent amount of money. When we walked inside the building one salesman was in a sitting area watching TV. Another two were at their desks working. After we stood there for about two minutes the TV watching guy yells out to another of the salesmen. Apparently the guy he was trying to talk to had on headphones because he couldn't hear him. This is not a large office. TV guy is about fifteen feet away from headphones guy and he keeps hollering out his name asking if he is the "next up?". He never even looked at him to see if he was there, he just kept on yelling his name while his eyes were on the TV. This went on for about a minute and I left. I don't have time for lazy people who go to work to watch TV. They are the only dealership in the area and they don't have the Tucson sales tax, but saving a little money isn't worth being treated like unwanted company. read more

Four weeks ago my fiance' called RV City regarding a new awning to be put on our trailer. They were kind enough to "fit him in" to just look at the trailer. When we called several times, we got stories. Stories about Jayco, (0ur trailer) was very slow at getting orders out or back ordered. Finally, today, after 4+ weeks, I called myself and talked to one of the same story tellers, the service manager, Dee, who gave me another story about how Jayco had to have a factory make part of the awning kit. I called another dealer service manager who told me they had the parts in stock and I was getting a run-around from RV City. I called Dee back, she told me Jayco no longer had the size awning and refused to give me the order number so I could call myself and find out what the delay was. She told me in so many words, I could go somewhere else to get my trailer done. Long story short, I called Tom's Camperland, where I bought my trailer from, talked to Nate, who not only called me back after he found out times/date and how soon to have the parts. He called me back, set up a schedule to have our awning fixed this next Thursday and said we can wait and they will get it done, to save us from traveling a long distance back and forth. The bottom line, do not go to RV City, their deals aren't that great, their service manager is rude and won't listen correctly and wants to send people away, not to mention they don't return promised calls! When we are ready to upgrade our travel trailer, they will lose, we will go back to Tom's Camperland in Tucson or another dealer there. RV City is not a professional business. read more

Drip, Drip, Drip! Among all of the other problems we've had with our brand new Winnebago Vista LX, now all of the connectors in the water compartment were leaking. The compartment was filling up with water and the other plumbers we spoke with told us $500 to repair them PLUS the cost of the parts! Sorry, we're not in the top 1% and can't afford those prices, so when we got to Sierra Vista we stopped at RV City and they said they'd come over to the RV park and take a look. Alec, the tech showed up and worked at our site all afternoon replacing the cheap, crappy connectors Winnebago used. Once he'd replaced all of the connectors, he checked for new drips.....ahhhh not one! Then he returned later to double check that new leaks hadn't developed. YEAHHHHH NONE!! The following morning we had no water after we disconnected from the city hook up. So, once again we stopped at RV City. Danny, Alec, and Jay came out to take a look. Among the 5 of us we determined the water pump had failed (another Winnebago cheap, crappy part) and needed to be replaced. It took them about 30 minutes to do ON THE SPOT, NO WAITING!! and we were on our way to our next destination. We want to thank Danny for excellent service and great pricing, Alec for excellent work on the first problem and his determination to get the job done right; and finally Jay for the care he is taking to train Alec to do the job right, his oversight of the process, and his careful inspection of the finished product. We got all of this done for less than half of what the first repair place quoted and they weren't even replacing the water pump. Thank you all so much for an honest, complete and well done job. From my first call to Robin when we first discovered that our Dometic fridge wasn't getting cold, to our arrival and Little Matt's diligence and honesty about diagnosing the problem and working directly with Dometic to fix the fridge, to then the actual repair and fixing the other little things on our Falcon F-Lite travel trailer with the help of Daniel, Martin and Hailey, well, we are now happily ack to adventuring, thanks to these people! Told RV city that my surge protector on my coach was not working. "Luckily " they had one in stock. Its a plug and play, simply replacing an existing surge protector of the same exact brand. No modifications or rewiring required. No mention from the parts department that it had to be replaced by a licensed electrician. My husband has been working with electrical equipment his whole life so this wasn't a novice. Replaced it, followed the instructions to a tee. Nothing. Didnt work. Took an old plug in surge protector we had and plugged it into the electrical box. All lines in are ok. Plugged the coach in to that surge protector and everything in the coach works fine. Called RV City. "Sorry, you installed it, nothing we can do, warranty is voided, you are out $400.00 but we can sale you another one. It's anywhere you go in SV. You buy electrical parts and install them, you're on your own." Says there is a sign but I never saw it and it was never pointed out. This place has the absolutely worse service department I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Bought the coach from them. Sales department is great but go anywhere else for service. read more

On a VW camper van, I had lots of improvements related to installing solar and upgrading electronic and electric parts (inverter, lithium battery, refridgerator, DC to DC charger - recommended for a lithium coach battery). Given that the vehicle was older and technology regarding electronics has greatly improved, it was not a pull and swap job, customization and crafting to complete these improvements was required. If you need customization, solar install and wiring and installation of fans or appliances, as well as other RV related work, I highly recommended RV City. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE!!. We had our RV on consignment, which never sold. So when we picked it up, they "lost" the equipment that was with the RV. While they were looking for it, I asked the man behind the counter if the elderly man was the manager. He said "I don't work here". I stated it's a yes or no question and if you don't work there, why are you behind the counter? He continued to say he doesn't work there and then told me to stop talking to him. My husband told him to take it easy then he yelled at my husband and called him "bro". Very unprofessional and unsafe to have someone behind the counter who doesn't even work there where the cash registers are. Another gentleman (I forgot his name but he was so helpful) "found the box". Meaning the service manager never looked in the first place. As it was in plain sight. My husband went to check it out and asked the service manager why there is someone behind the counter who doesn't work there. The service manager told my husband to "get the F out" repeatedly. Apparently the man behind the counter was the service managers son. So not only does the service manager not give a sh!t about customer service or giving people back their property, he lets his man bun son sit behind the counter where customers can see and not give them proper service and again has access to the cash register. read more

My last warranty trip to get some special tape to cover a seam in the wall. Got charged for it when was told they would turn it in on warranty to be sure to get correct color. We won't return!!! First, not one person in their service department was wearing a mask. That's their choice I guess, but with high-risk customers entering a business they should wear a mask if the customer is wearing one. An employee in the service department did mock us for wearing our masks. Second, we just needed an oil change in our Class C. That was done without issue but it took them FOUR hours! Third, they wanted to charge me $1800 for a part (not including labor). I came home and ordered the exact part for $1000 and will be taking that to Camping World. read more

We purchased a 2020 Alante Motor Home from RV City in November 2019. We immediately went on our 1st trip and found several items that needed correcting. Most of these were due to a lack of quality Control at the factory. We returned the MH to RV City to have the defects corrected. Gene (service MGR) told me it might be awhile as they were shorthanded. I accepted that and went home. When I returned, 4 weeks later, to check on the status, there was a Technician working in the MH. He introduced himself as Gary. One of the issues required disassembly of the dash to include the radio compartment. I told Gary I would like to see the inside of the compartment when it was opened, and I wanted to see the Sirius port on the radio. He gave me an estimated time and I returned to see what was inside. Gary explained the different components and showed me the Sirius connection on the radio, He also showed me that it already had a Sirius radio installed and all I needed to do was have it activated. (None of the books, brochures or other documents indicate there was a Sirius installed. (Another Factory oversight?) One of the issues was an extreme rattle in the dash on the passenger side. He took the time to explain in detail what he was going to do to fix the problem. When I returned to pick up the MH I found a piece of paper on the dash where he had written down the Serial # of the Sirius receiver, that was hidden behind the dash. Although there are other ways to get the #, I thought this was an extra special touch. When I returned to RV City at a later date, Gary asked me: "Have any more problems with the dash rattle?" I said: " So far so good." It was nice to know he remembered and was concerned. I have seen many negative reviews about the RV city service dept. Maybe they are warranted and maybe not. My experience was nothing but great and I have no compunction about returning for Warranty or routine service. read more

WARNING!! Horrible, fraudulent business! WARNING!!! They made an appointment with me but didn't show up. When I called to inquire, they said they would call me back. No call back. I called them again and they made another appointment, charged me a service fee up front, and failed to show up again. When I called them again, they asked for MORE money up front and said if I didn't pay up front they weren't going to come. I told them I wasn't comfortable with that since they were 4 hours late for the original appointment and had failed to show up twice. They said them they aren't coming and they aren't going to refund the deposit I made. They have completely wasted my entire day. They say they are military friendly, but this is not a way to treat military, or anyone else. I had to take leave to sit here. The young lady who answered the phone refused to give me her name. She told me she was Derek. Who is her supervisor and the person I spoke to earlier in the day. Zero accountability. They have effectively stolen my money. read more

I had a service call appointment for my 5th wheel in Sierra Vista and when l called to verify, l spoke to an extremely rude individual who told me that my appointment was for a drive in and not for a service call in town. l know for a fact that l made this appointment for them to come out and when l tried to explain that, the employee became extremely angry and verbally abused me over the phone. I'm a U.S. Marine and don't take kindly to idiots like him and from now on, will be taking my business elsewhere. Will also let my colleague's and friends know about this person's behavior and the type of individual's R.V. City in Huachuca City employs and we'll all be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I am a strong believer in supporting local businesses, so even though my friends were taking their RVs / Travel Trailers to Tucson, I would go to RV City. After all these issues, it is time warn others. Not sure of "getting into" RVs, I would have an pending sale taken to them for a full inspection at my cost. Each time, their advice helped me not make an expensive mistake. It took two to three days. Then I finally purchased a travel trailer Aug 2017. Like before, I took it to RV City for the inspection. Maybe I should not have mentioned that I bought it. Three weeks later, I'm told "I'd better come get it." There was no list of things to repair, as before. I was also told, "We replaced your roof vents - I was concerned about the rains." ****Without calling me for permission, they replaced them, and charged me $138. I could have done them myself and was planning to. Yes, they were broken. No big deal, as I was going to replace them. I burned, but paid the very expensive price. I got the trailer home, went to plug it in, and found **** all my adapters were missing! I could not believe it! Of course I called and gave them a piece of my mind! "We'll make it right." Dang straight you will! [Note - at this time, I had not yet discovered that 90% of the cargo locks in RVs were keyed the same, "751".] I then climbed up to see my new vent covers. Yeah, I had two new vent covers -- but someone **** put a hole it my skylight! Looked like a knee or a hand!! The KNEW, because someone taped it over with 3M tape. Of course I call them back -- Couldn't you TELL ME? Oh, yeah, "We'll make it right." While I waited for the skylight, I took down my adapter receipts and they replaced every one of them. The older guy who was the service manager wasn't there - an extended vacation. In the meantime, I did my own inch by inch inspection. **** They never did the inspection! I requested specifically safety items. I found: corroded and about to break battery cables, wires hanging loose, electric brake wire cut before the trailer-to-truck cord . . . Three weeks, they had it. I discovered there was a recall on my Dometic refrigerator. The thing worked find, and with quite the trepidation, I took it back to RV City. They ordered the kit (gas safety shield). They installed in. **** Now my fridge won't work on gas. ARRGGHHH!!! I take it back, for the skylight and the fridge. I tell them I want it back the same day. I was HOT! Skylight was in, "looked good" (more later). The tech explains that the installer had **** left the gas valve off on the fridge. He helpfully shows me the valve and the screwdriver-tip on-off. I asked, "How in the world did you test the fridge after your work if the valve was off?!?!?!" He had the grace to look ashamed. Fast forward to today - July 2018. First, I knew someone had done a half-jerked job on coating the roof. I recognized it. As I start from the front, I am peeling off coating that was placed over a dirty surface. I discover cracked lap sealant, filled with dirt, underneath, and I clean that away and re-lap-seal. Then I get to the skylight. I peeled off the horrible roof coating, and the NEW skylight lap seal comes off with it! They had **** not bothered to clean it before they applied the lap seal! I began to strip it off, with a hot burn working, when I saw the rubber roof come up. I slowed down and worked carefully, to discover **** RV City cut my rubber roof when they removed the old skylight! The curbside rubber roof is cut 10" of the 14" edge. I was livid! It is not rocket science to have your utility knife edge out only 1/8" of an inch, and ride the utility knife along the top of the skylight. The skylight - on that side, is laying on top of old lap sealant, and the new stuff was just dumped all over. So, for failure to communicate with the customer, for making unauthorized repairs, for breaking things and hiding them, for really slipshod, inferior, haphazard work, I would give them a zero if I could. I wish I could post pictures. [PS - Kevin, an RV tech, came up to me when I was there to pick up the trailer. He apologized for breaking the skylight, said he was helping the guy, and had to get back to his own work. He told my TT's repairman to let management know. He forgot, and that was why no one informed me. Very straight-up for a young man in his early twenties. Kudos to him.] read more

With the Service Manager Gene working there, your experience will be just about as disgusting as it could possibly be. From his dishonesty to never returning one single phone call over the course of a week, it was a disgruntling experience to say the least. At the very end of that week, Gene literally used an RV to block my truck and camper in so it couldn't be driven. He demanded over $200.00 to be paid before he would release the truck including a part that he supposedly ordered that he stated I had to pay for even though he would not release that part to me. After I got the police involved, I was vindicated and was able to have the officer drive my truck off the lot as Gene trespassed me from the property. It was a real fiasco. The law enforcement officers were perfect in their handling of this debacle and I can't say enough or thank them enough for getting it taken care of in my favor. Before I could retrieve my truck, Gene cancelled my previous debit transaction with my bank and demanded CASH ONLY. I had to drive two miles to an ATM and get the money, in correct change, cash on the barrel head. The police arranged for me to receive that part I paid for, but they literally had to go to RV CITY and pick up the part for me and I met them at the police station where it was kindly handed to me. Huachuca City, Cochise County and DPS were fantastic. ZERO STARS FOR RV CITY INCLUDING THEIR SERVICE MANAGER. I CAN'T IMAGINE THE OWNER HASN'T HEARD ABOUT THIS MAN'S LACK OFTALENT IN THE PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT. HORRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST. read more

I called to make an appointment to have some minor items repaired and/or replaced on my fifth wheel trailer. They told me that they would not be able to work on it for a month and half, so I made the appointment anyway. I called two days before the scheduled date to make sure they were ready for me to bring my rig in and they said "Yes". After leaving it for a couple of days they called to have me pick it up. When I got there, I was told that they didn't do any of the work because they only wanted to work on new motorhomes or trailers; ones that were in warranty. They knew when I scheduled the service call what model number and year my trailer was, but never made any comment to me about not wanting to work on out of warranty or older trailers. I asked why this was their policy and was told that the NEW service manager wanted it that way. I went in to inform the owner of the service manager's decision of NOT wanting to work on my rig and he confirmed their new policy. He suggested I purchase a new rig and they would be glad to service it. There is NO WAY I would ever buy a new or used rig from RV City with that policy in effect. Items I wanted repaired or maintained included: replacing the door lock; installing a new Air Conditioner startup capacitor (which I did for $15 and 15 minutes of my time... working slow and taking a coffee break); installing a metal tie down strap to secure one of my propane tanks; making an adjustment to my awning so that it would close easier; install new valves to both the black and grey water pipes. Oh well, there are other RV Dealers in the Sierra Vista and Huachuca City area. Thanks RV City for turning me away and wasting my time. read more

This is specific to the service department, not sales. I've tried calling and telling Daniel, the service manager, on more than one occasion to update me on my warranty repairs. It has only happened twice in the approximately 6 MONTHS service has had it of the past 12 MONTHS I bought from them. The unit is a 2017 Jayco Sport 12SC pop up. The first time it went to service was immediately after buying it to add AC. When it was done I got a call. Last summer I dropped it off again for some warranty work. I received a call then, picked it up and took it home. A few days later I setup the camper to prep for a trip. When I did that I was overwhelmed by the ADDITIONAL damage done by the service department. My plug in AC unit power cord was snapped off in the outlet, the bow above the slide out was ripped off, the front cabinet of the slide out was ripped off and most of the cabinetry was scratched. I demanded a fix and they did respond to my house to patch it up good enough for an immediate trip, but this should have never happened. Fast forward to the first week of December 2018. I received a call that my new canvas and other warranty parts had arrived. I dropped it off that week and was told it would be ready for pick up on January 4th. I let them know that the water damage I complained about looked like it was now causing the front laminate wall to separate. That date came and went, for two more weeks, until I called in late January. I was told by Daniel there was more work to do still and I requested that next time he simply call me to let me know they couldn't make the promised date. I also asked for an updated completion date. I was told about another week. I gave them three more weeks, no call. I called and spoke with Daniel on February 20th when he told me they just found out my front wall was separating but they finished everything on my list. I reminded him that I told him about it in December but clearly he didn't do anything about it. He said Jayco's system was down on the 20th so they couldn't get the approval to move forward with the wall repair. On March 4th I contacted Jayco to find out when/if the wall repair was approved. The first question I was asked was why the dealer didn't let me know. That's a great question but based on my experience, why would RV City tell me, the owner? Jayco sent me a screenshot of RV City making the claim on February 25th and Jayco approved it on the next day. I never got a call about that. I also called RV City asking for Daniel on March 4th. I was asked who was calling and gave my name. I was transferred to the PARTS DEPARTMENT! The gentleman (can't remember his name) said he knows it's being worked on, Daniel wasn't available and he couldn't give me a completion date. So here I sit, already missed one planned trip, still making payments, paying insurance and registration FOUR MONTHS since I last dropped it off. I'm terrified that there will be more damage again and am wondering when/if I'll get my camper back! When this is over I'll be going elsewhere for service without a doubt. read more

We were having our first RV experience for a week and found that we needed some unexpected service during our stay. We stopped by RV City and every person we encountered from sales to service was wonderful, nice, knowledgeable and helpful. When we came to pick up the RV the repair was perfect and it looked like brand new. We were beyond impressed by their attention to detail. Although we live in Illinois, we would seriously not think of buying an RV anywhere but RV City...the drive from AZ to Illinois is beautiful and we may just do that soon!! read more

I have never in my life dealt with a more poorly run place in my life!! Robin was rude and obnoxious during our phone conversation. I called and had set up an appt for RV AC unit replacement I gave all the info to the girl in service who took my call, even offered to send photos of everything. She assured me they had all parts needed to complete the job, my appt time Friday came and went and I finally was able to get a person to talk to by 10:45am after trying and being put on endless hold numerous times. Then the tech calls me to find out all the same info I'd given the girl at the beginning of the week and he says he will load truck and head right out. Never shows, I go thru same thing again trying to talk to someone, I'm the afternoon when I called, finally I get Travis in service who tells me they don't have all the parts and they had to order them. So I call today to check on parts, Robin gets very defensive and rude when I try and explain everything I'd been thru with their service Dept. And then tried to tell me they don't make those service calls, I asked why then did they initially set me an appt and tech call me? She hung up on me. I called back and told her I was planning on buying the parts and she said if they weren't doing the work she wasn't selling me the parts and hung up on me again. Big red flag on this place. Don't use even as last resort unless you enjoy frustration. I have worked in automotive service and parts half of my life and would have lost my job if I'd treated a customer as they did me. The customer may not always be right but they have no idea how to talk to a customer or treat a customer. And everything that went wrong with this was on them. The service Dept screwed up and instead of apologizing and fixing it, they made excuses and lied. read more

After a tire blow out on our 5th wheel that damaged the fender and slide we stopped in to RV City to look into having it repaired. Everyone we met were pleasant and helpful. Dee was able to guide us to get measurements to find the part numbers we needed and contacted Jayco for parts. Price for the repair was reasonable. Due to the long shipping time and an item not in stock at Jayco we couldn't have the repair done in our time frame. We would use this business for future work. read more

All other reviews are spot on.. I needed a Roadmaster flexo-coil 7 to 6. The parts man was friendly and said he could get me one in a couple of days. I offered to pay up front he refused said he didn't know what the cost would be. They called me when is was in. I went over to pick it up. They charged me twice as much as every other place that sells the item. If you HAVE to do business with them get a exact up front price in writing. Do not accept an estimate. If you must buy parts or have repairs accomplished I suggest you go else where. I will be posting the same information on every RV site that allows. Plus an BBB complaint. read more

Avoid that company whenever you can!!! We were towed to that company by AAA Sierra Vista towing service after Ford Sierra Vista refused repair due to missing ditch for fuel tank dismount - another afront from an official Ford Co. who says RV Repairs!! - After phone from towing company RV City accepted repair of our fuel system. At least we could stay at our RV on that place of RV City - I reported to the Service Manager next morning 8 a.m as I was told at arrival. First attention 2:30pm - they said because of appointments - there were a lazy crew working on other trailer's brake drums - nobody waiting to get back to the road but us. Anyhow it turned out, they have to order a fuel pump and dismount the tank. The Service Manager told me it would become expensive - about $ 600 on labor - I agreed and asked to speed up. Next day fuel pump arrived but it was the wrong one. (I could find online the correct pump in seconds it was about $250 on stock $10 next day shipment) However two technicians started to dismount fuel tank - one working, one hanging around - they did a bad job dismounting the tank, loosing parts inside the tank, spreading tools under the vehicle, taking several breaks for cigaretts, lunch, coffee what ever- they could not finish the job due to the wrong pump, we had to stay another night and felt already like hostages. Next day the finished the job at lunch (again one technician working another hanging around and assisting only for fixing one bolt!) However - job was done and I went to pay - surprise invoice was showing $1500 labor, and services and parts they never supplied, totalling in $ 2400. - I just wanted to leave that evil place and complained to BBB and Arizona Attorney General It's useless to ask for compensation - even Ford Tucson sent a repair estimation for that services totalling in $ 1050. A very bad experience we finally made in our 22 year visiting US, beside that - all other experiences with repair shops were excellent! read more

Stopped by one morning to ask about consignment. I had never been there so I wasn't sure the layout of the business. Had to look for an employee and found them all sitting on the couch in front of the TV. I told them I wanted info on consignment and not one of them got up to talk to me. They continued to sit on the couch and talk to me from there. Needless to say, they did not get my business and I took my RV to Tucson for consignment. read more

Was lied to when we bought travel trsiler from them. The deal was that we could trade it in within a year for a more expensive unit and get full credit for what we paid on the first one. When we tried to do that we were given the run around for six weeks until it became clear that they never intended to follow through on that promise. DO NOT BUY AN RV FROM THESE PEOPLE. I wouldn't do any service there either. They screwed stuff up when they installed it improperly on our trailer and also didn't honor a warranty when the electric lift broke. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. One of the worse experiences I have had dealing with any kind of service, let a lone an RV repair facility. Customer service was not even attempted. I called and was given a scheduled appointment to bring the coach in, 3 items to evaluate the slide was hanging up, electrical issue, and the door awning was also hanging up. The service person told me it would be 2 weeks before they would get to it, which was fine with me, because we had no trips planned and lived locally (within 60 miles is locally around these parts). They said they would call me with a status. After 2 weeks passed they still did not call. So I called them, and they said it would be another week, that they had not even looked at it yet and would call me with the status. OK, so I waited another week and no call. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and be patient and waited for them to call. After another 2 weeks "no call". So I finally called them and was told, they just started to look at it and they would call me. Now my patience was gone and explained to the customer service person my frustration with the fact that no body was calling back with any updates as to what needed to be done, how long it take and what the cost was. She apologized and said she would make sure someone got back to me. So again, I waited. No call after another week. I finally just went in and they only fixed the electrical issue and the service manager said he thought the cost to fix the slide and the door awning would be too high and figured i wouldn't want to pay for it (which I totally would have, if some one would have picked up the phone to let me know the cost). I could not wait to get the heck out of there. I spent 40 years in customer service and even when my company screwed up, I would always call the customer with the status. They took $200 from me. We contacted them because we were looking for a large RV to suit our needs at the time. They were 1 of 2 dealerships in AZ that had a particular Jayco Bungalow that we were interested in. Keep in mind this RV is over $40,000, more than most people make in a year. We were told we could put a $200 100% refundable deposit on the Bungalow to reserve it. If we were unhappy with the RV they would return our money, if we liked it the $200 would go towards the purchase. Well, some unexpected circumstances happened and the next day we found out this wonderful RV would no longer suit our needs (we were buying property that fell through, among other issues). I called them to let them know we would not be coming to view the RV because we no longer had a need for it and asked for my deposit back. Toby, the finance guy, said all I have to do was go through their financing process and we'd be approved for the RV loan. I informed Toby again that it has nothing to do with being approved or not, it's the fact that we no longer need the large RV. He proceed to tell me they've already put $200 into the RV to fix it up and look nice for our arrival so he wouldn't be able to refund the deposit. I'm sorry that we made them work a little harder that day but I was promised a 100% refundable deposit if I didn't like the RV. He was more than happy to send me all the paperwork for an RV loan but couldn't be bothered to return the deposit. For a $40,000 RV you better make it look fabulous for a potential buyer. That's just part of running the business. Toby informed me he would see what he can do to refund my money, and he might be able to put a credit on our account so if we ever use them in the future it would come off the price of that RV. I just want my $200 back as promised. A week later I sent him an email to check on the status of my refund and never heard back. Now they are putting me in an awkward position where I feel like I have to harass them to get what is mine. I would not use them. It's not worth saving the city sales tax. read more

The staff of RV City has provided us some of the best customer service I ever experienced. We recently purchased a new travel trailer. Salesmen David and John answered all my questions and were extremely patient with me as my wife and I wanted to look at different trailers, selected once, then changed our mind end decided to get a different trailer. Toby, the sales manager worked to get me a great deal on a new Jayco travel trailer, including extended warranty and financing that beet both Good Sam and USAA Bank respectively. Upon pick-up, Jerry, one of the service mechanics, patiently walked us through all the features of our new camper. He even helped adjust the breakaway cable adjusted the height on my personal tow ball. Dee, the service manager, helped us record any factory defects we found and scheduled a time to bring the trailer back for minor repairs once we enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend. I actually bent the front jack pulling into my campsite the same day I purchased the camper. I had to leave the camper hooked to the truck because I couldn't get it off the truck. I called the next morning to see if the folks at RV City could help me get the trailer off the truck and replace the front jack. Toby and Dee got me in right away even though the service department was actually closed for the weekend. Dee gave us a great deal on a replacement jack and Sky, one of the service mechanics that just happened to be there but not officially working, replaced the jack for me in about 30 minutes. Toby invited us into the sales building to get my dog out of the heat while Sky conducted the repair. David even gave her a treat. The staff as a whole is friendly and went to great lengths to help us get the best deal possible and quickly fix damage done due to my own mistake so we could enjoy the holiday weekend.
