Very difficult lender to deal with. They don't give pre approvals nor want to say what rates they start at. You must submit a full application with stips and full hard credit inquiry to see if their bank is even competitive. I understand that you cannot get a loan approval if you don't meet the criteria or give underwriting the stipulations they ask for. I lost three days repeating myself to the underwriter that I simply want to know what range of rates they have. Example 600 Fico 10.00%-15% rate, 700fico 8%-9%. I have 800fico and had to jump through hoops and back and forth for nothing. I finally applied with the dealership today after losing three days and got .5% better rate with almost no stipulations except ID and one months paystubs. This lender wanted full tax returns, MSRP sheet and several other items before I could be told anything about interest rates. I do not recommend this lender. Save yourself the headache. The other lender told me the criteria before applying and It comes down to you get whatever rate your creditworthiness affords you. Simple. read more

I was denied a RV loan because I had a 3 month deferral of an auto loan while I had cancer and couldn't work. The auto loan is now paid off.

They approved me for a loan on a RV. Then they tell me about there "documentation fee of $399.00" plus there "$199 title and registration fee" yeah, no thanks, $600 in fees for a 800 plus credit score. I will look some place else. I would not recommend this company. We sold a boat and the seller used this company. It was almost impossible to receive our funds. We still have not received our funds after sending all the necessary documents. After week, they claimed that the documents need to be redone. They also do not wire money to the seller. I was approved quickly but decided to go with a different RV. I attempted to get info ahead of time from my loan officer on whether they would approve conversion van camper but the loan officer was not very responsive. She told me to look at vehicles and identify the one I want and then we can move forward. So I put a ton of time and research into camper vans and identified the one I wanted. But then went to get approval and she then said they can't approve camper van conversions. What a waste of time. Harder than refinancing a house! You would think we were borrowing a kidney for the amount of hoops they make you jump through. Not sure if this company's fault or the lender but not worth the hassle. Really wish I would have looked for these reviews before we started this process but we are almost done (after 3 weeks)! Seller of the boat would have dumped us a long time ago if he had any other buyers. Buying a used boat and getting a loan must be a "risky investment" to the lender world bc they were brutal. Seriously never had this much paperwork before! My loan should have been a slam dunk but they would pull crap like "send us your driver's license" then the next day it was..."now send us a copy of the backside of your drivers license." We got a quote for an RV loan and was excited about the rate so we applied right away. After the application I looked on their site and noticed they needed more documentation later that day, so I uploaded the information that night. The next day I got an email at 8:00 am central time for the requested information that I had uploaded the night before. Three days later I got an email that they approved my loan for 1.35% higher than the rate that was quoted to me even though my credit score was over 800 and we met all other requirements. When I finally got ahold of the loan officer we where assigned to she told me that that rate wasn't valid and hadn't been for two weeks... She then talked to a manger and responded to me two days later that if I put 30% down they could get me that rate but otherwise they couldn't. They lie and are terrible at communicating... Absurd lending criteria. I've never had a single missed payment, lots of verifiable income, but because I have rental properties I'm considered high risk. And they don't add back in depreciation on investment properties which almost all lenders do because it's not a real expense. read more

Same terrible experience as other reviewers. I had a dedicated representative and she kept adding and removing fees to make sure the loan would remain higher than I wanted. The process was not transparent in any way - I have no doubt they are either dishonest or simply inept. The representative I worked with was also very unprofessional once I told her I was going to look elsewhere because I was unhappy with the process. She even called me BACK just to add her two cents!! We applied and received a fast approval but they wanted a huge down payment. We were approved through another bank but because of the advertisements, I wanted to see if we could get a better rate. We did get a slightly better rate but with the huge down payment to go with it. Our credit score is well into the 750 range. When I called to see why there was such a large down payment, I was told that my credit score was not high enough! The odd part was, even with the large down payment, our payment was just a few dollars less then the approval we received from another bank. When I questioned that it seemed odd, I was told that if I didn't want the loan they could cancel the approval. Hmm.....I cancelled the approval. Borrower beware. Go get pre approved through your bank or credit union. If your credit is good, this company wants only the 800's. read more

Please do not go thru this company. We purchased our RV May, 3 2019 and had difficulty getting someone to answer their phones or return our calls with questions or concerns regarding the cashier's check that ended up being a week late. We were guaranteed that the entire process would take no longer than 2 weeks and it ended up taking 3 1/2 weeks. We finally were able to get our camper before the private owner got cold feet and purchased a warranty along with it. Well..... we ended up having issues with the AC unit and one of the slides leaking. Went to make a claim 2 months later and guess what???? Souheast Financial still hasn't put in the papers for the warranty to go thru. My husband is livid. I've tried to call them over 15 times now, leaving messages, both polite and some not so polite. I applied for a boat loan on sunday june 10th. They requested the NADA value on monday in which I reaponded within 10 minute. The portal said my credit was pulled and under review. No agent ever reached out to me to discuss anything. Two days past and emails went un answered. Finally I told them since they are not responding that I will go with another lender. I got a response in 2 min saying that apps once processed take 24-48 hours to get a response from a bank. I heard nothing else until thursday when I emailed them asking for a response. Within 3 min the portal had updated saying that 3 applications were sent to the banks and were awaiting a response. I heard nothing all day and emailed around 4pm asking for an update as the seller was asking me and I had no answers. I was told that the delay would be looked into. Got no response yestersay. Now today on friday I went all morning giving them the chance so respond with nothing. I emailed them yet again and said that at this point I am going to go with another lender and was told someone will reach out to me asap. Within 2 min I got a emailed approval. The terms were very bad ( high interest rate. alot of money down and shorter term )and I emailed back saying i would like to discuss other terms. I have yet to recieve any other communications from SE financial. I decided that this was not the company for me and went to my local credit union and was approved within 30 min at a full 1.5% APR less with 0 down and the term I wanted.I am now refinancing both my vehicles and possibly my mortgage with Space Coast Credit union because there rates were so good and the customer service was outstanding. I should have done that in the first place. If you do try SE financial do not expect a fast process. Do not expect good communication and do not expect the best rate or terms. My credit score is outstanding, the loan to value ratio on the boat was on point, Plenty of income there is no reason that a loan should take a week to get a reply back for a conditional approval. read more

Should have read these reviews first. They claim an interactive experience. They said I had to high of revolving credit, only because I have a Heloc on a home with no mortgage. They said I had numerous acounts with too high balances, when I went through this with them on phone they only came up with one. Didn't seem to understand basic loan process and definitely didn't want to really exert any energy to help me. Stay clear of this company! read more
