This company has really let me down. My delivery was delayed multiple times which cost me because I bought car insurance starting the original delivery date. Then they said they would reimburse me. I have not received anything and its almost October. Then they said registration would be taken care of, paperwork submitted and paid for. The car was delivered with a temporary plate and I was to receive my actual plates within 2 weeks. No plates and temporary tag was about to expire. I called and they said to wait a couple days then call back. Nothing so I called and was promised an extension on the temporary tag. Had to call back quite a few times to know the status since I hadn't received the email or the document that was to be added to my "dashboard" on their website. After multiple calls I finally received the new tag and it was for Tenessee. I live in Georgia! They said it would be ok, that I can operate the vehicle. I still did not receive the Georgia plates so I called Carvana again. They said registration is through a third party and they have no access to the information or any way to contact the third party to see what the issue was but it said "processed" in their notes. Then I called my local tag office. They said they received paperwork but Carvana never paid. I asked how much and it was $20. I figure fine I'll pay but the tag office hours of operation are during my work hours/closed on weekends and I won't make it on time unless I request time off from work. I am a teacher of small children and not able to just call out. Carvana said they would reimburse me the $20. So I felt alright with that even though they should've handled it originally as the process is supposed to be handled. Temp tag expires October 7,2021. I figured I should be able to get my official plates by then. Well today, September 27,2021, I got pulled over on the way home from work because they saw the original temporary tag was expired but then I showed them the Tenessee temporary tag. They looked it up and it was not on file. It was fraudulent! Now I have a ticket and have a fine to pay for driving an unregistered vehicle even though Carvana set that tag up and said it was legit. I trusted them! I have called and spoken to 5 different people (I talked in a calm, professional manner because its not the current representative's fault, its whoever set up the tag and the third party registration personnel) and each call has gone blank!At the beginning of each call they state that they work from home because of Covid so if the call is dropped they will call right back. None did! I have been on hold on the phone waiting for another attempt to have them fix this mess. I tried the automatic call back system. I tried the texting route. And no help! This is really awful and I plan to leave as many poor reviews as possible to warn everyone and even sue if I have to. This must be made right. read more

So I haven't purchased a car from a dealer since 2006, and frankly I wasn't looking forward to it but needed something to replace my old truck. I came to Carvana through TrueCar and when I found the exact 2012 Ford Edge Sport I wanted, I was a little shocked. I didn't know anything about the company. The price was great, but as I read on I found that they would not only cover everything from title to delivery for the one price, but they would drive it right to my house. I'm a risk taker so I decided why not. Even got financing done through the company in no time. Best experience ever! It took me 25 mins to go through the whole process online. I was shocked, I thought, did I just buy a car? The amount of info available to make my decision was outstanding. I felt like I knew as much as if I had walked onto a lot and test driven the car. Most importantly I was CONFIDENT this wasn't a rip off. Buying a car is a commitment, and the online process made me feel like I wasn't so much being sold a car as I was getting the car I wanted. The customer service was OUTSTANDING from A-Z. I've never had a dealership contact me as much or be as comprehensive as Carvana has been. The reps were great but my delivery driver, Haley, was just pure gold. She stayed in constant contact and even offered to drop off my car a day early! When the car arrived I was happy to see it wasn't a bait and switch! The car was clean, functional, and showroom prepped. What you don't often see is Carvana goes the extra mile to make sure you feel like they cared for your car all the way, right down to carefully driving it off their distinctive delivery truck. Haley made sure I got to inspect and test drive my "new to me" truck, and she was incredibly personable and happy to be associated with the company. The paperwork portion was easy and she did an outstanding job explaining all the warranty ins and outs. More than anything I loved the attitude of doing what was needed to ensure I was happy with the purchase and experience. I was also really happy to finds all the little personal touches like the gift bag!! So one sentence to describe this? My concierge car service. I bought the car I wanted on my couch and had it delivered and I'm HAPPY with it! read more

I just picked up my car from Carvana yesterday, so I will be updating this as time goes by. So far, 10/10. I chose to finance my car through my bank rather than Carvana (Carvana's interest rates were much higher. From my understanding, they do this because pretty much anyone can get approved to finance through them). My sister recently bought a car from Carvana and I was able to apply her referral code with no problem. The Carvana advocates were super helpful every step along the way, and made sure all of my questions were answered. They worked with my bank to get the payment verified because the loan officer forgot to put a tracking number when shipping the check, but the advocates took care of it and my pickup time was unaffected. As for picking up the car, it could not have been easier. I signed 4 forms, put the coin in the slot, had a great conversation with the Carvana gentleman as we waited for the car to arrive. He covered all of my questions, and even mentioned that they took care of the emissions test for us (emissions test is required in our county)! Huge bonus as I completely forgot about it. He made sure we were happy with the vehicle before we drove off the lot. All in all, I'm very happy with the process. I read several unfortunate reviews of some not-so-great experiences, and all I can say is, be sure to ask as many questions as you can. I called the Carvana advocates several times before choosing a vehicle and they did everything they could to make sure I understood their process and how things work. Update after two weeks: Still very happy! I took my car to a local dealership who provided a free inspection to ensure everything looked good, and they only recommended that we replace the air filter. Other than that, everything else works like a charm. Thanks to COVID, I'm not driving too often. But each time I go for a spin, I have discovered a new feature to the vehicle. 10/10 recommend! Great Experience After months of researching mid-sized trucks I knew the vehicle I wanted and started looking at offers online from dealers. I dreaded that I would have to go through the sales hassle at a dealership especially since I was trading in my 5 year old Jeep. I was searching AutoTrader for a 2016 GMC and found a GMC Canyon exactly like I wanted. The price was very reasonable and the ad promised no hassles and, they would take my trade in! All done online! The seller was Carvana. I started the process on their website and was given what I thought was a very fair trade-in price for my vehicle in less than 2 minutes! The description of the GMC showed all the features online. I decided to buy and pushed the purchase button! No hassle! No dealer add-on fees no back and forth with a sales manager! I downloaded my ID and title info on my trade-in and was given a delivery date and time to my house! You can finance through Carvana or use your own source of funding and make a further down payment if you desire! I called their toll free number to speak with an associate and was quickly connected to a knowledgeable person who was able to answer my questions about manner of payment and logistics of delivery. On the appointed day a delivery specialist called with an estimate of arrival time. Once at my house the driver unloaded my purchased vehicle and allowed me to take it for a test drive and look it over. Once I accepted the vehicle and we completed some delivery documents I signed over the title to my trade-in. I was informed that I had up to 7 days to return the vehicle if I decided it was not what I expected. The delivery driver test drove my trade-in and then loaded it on the Carvana van and drove off! Less than 30/40 minutes and I was alone with my very nice GMC Colorado! I had my mechanic look over the GMC this morning and he gave me a thumbs up! I'm 70 years old and have bought MANY vehicles in my lifetime...Am I happy with the Carvana experience? You Bet!!! read more

"Blown Away" i started this process 8/18/17 after much research on Carvana and the Hyundai Genesis I was interested in buying. The whole on line buying experience was extremely easy, the trade in, the financing, the customer service from home office all were seamless. I couldn't find the title for my trade which slowed things down a little bit but we got it worked out quickly. Went to the Carvana vending machine on Monday morning off of the Katy Freeway in Houston and told them I was here to pick up my car. ( which had just been brought in from Dallas the day before especially for me) I then met customer care advocate Clay B. and he was able to bring all of my paper work out ready to discuss and for me to sign. They took my trade sight unseen only a few questions regarding millage and condition over the phone when doing the original paperwork on-line earlier. I was given the exact amount agreed upon and the APR was exactly the % that I was offered and the payment was exact to the penny what was promised. Signed the paperwork put the coin in the vending machine and watched my new car come down the machine and delivered to the spot where i was given the key and was told here is your new car Mr. Hill enjoy it and if you need anything please let us know. I got into my new car and drove it off the showroom floor. Could not have asked for a better experience period. I will never ever again buy a car from anyone else other than Carvana. For some reason I had expected the deal to go south somewhere, everything was going to good, my luck usually doesn't run that well, but I'm extremely happy to say I loved my experience with Carvana and would highly recommend this experience to everyone for their next car purchase. read more

My recent experience with Carvana has been an absolute disaster, turning what should have been an exciting car purchase into a never-ending nightmare. If you're considering Carvana, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. It all started when I tried to sell a truck I bought from Carvana a few years ago. After moving and updating my address with them, Carvana failed to update my address with the bank. When I paid off the loan, the title was sent to my old address. Carvana sent me a lien release, but my current DMV won't accept it, demanding a title from my original state - which is impossible for me to get. When Carvana came to pick up the truck for a sale to them, their driver refused to take the vehicle without the physical title, even though their own mistake caused the issue! So, I'm stuck with a truck I can't easily sell, all because Carvana couldn't manage a simple address update. Adding insult to injury, I bought another vehicle from Carvana last week. I literally just drove it for one day, and guess what? The tire pressure indicator lit up. This comes after the car already had electrical issues that needed immediate mechanic attention right after delivery. It's truly unbelievable. I went into this process expecting a smooth trade-in and a reliable new car. Instead, I'm left with a vehicle I can't sell, a brand-new purchase already having problems, and an immense amount of frustration. Carvana's lack of accountability for their mistakes and the poor quality of their vehicles is astounding. My advice? Steer clear of Carvana if you value your time, money, and sanity. read more

I bought a low-mileage 2016 Subaru Forester 2.5i and had it shipped to my home in Silicon Valley from Georgia. It was like getting a brand-new car, just with a few scratches and already broken-in. Very pleased with everything so far. That said, the third party delivery service they used arrived early, and the Carvana staff said they were "notorious" for being early. So if you plan your vacations around the car delivery you are going to have a problem. That said, in many industries this is considered a virtue (as opposed to coming in over budget and late). It was kind of inconvenient in that respect, but again this is a third-party delivery service and it isn't like they can put an SUV on a plane and have it delivered by Federal Express to your PO box -- a driver has to physically deliver a motor vehicle (probably several), and having driven cross-country I can tell you this is not an exact science. Seriously not complaining. Another minor detail: yes, the car failed CA smog inspection because the battery was disconnected at some point during the servicing, causing the ECU to reset. I did have to drive the car at normal highway speeds for 20-30 miles to get the ECU to "re-learn" and then have it re-inspected. Fortunately this happened with my old Subaru once when I had the battery replaced so I knew it could happen. Just don't let the inspection place screw you over for the re-inspection fee ! The car came with temporary GA tags, and so far California's finest have not complained :) read more

Terrific Experience! I bought a 2015 Honda Fit EX, delivered yesterday - a Saturday so no conflict with work. It arrived on a flatbed truck on time and looked great. Very nice and professional delivery (Todd) and including paperwork, maybe 30 minutes. And they took away our ancient trade-in. For the Honda, they not only filled the gas tank but had done an oil change and the Virginia safety and emission inspections (which I expected I'd have to do) and did the registration paperwork. I took it to my own mechanic and it passed with flying colors -- the only suggestion he made was to change the cabin and air filters ($20 & $30) and to consider undercoating since it has some very very minor rust underneath (it had been, according to the Carfax Carvana provided, a lease from Ithaca NY, so it likely saw a couple of snowy winters). My college age daughter is thrilled with it. The minor imperfections Carvana noted are SO minor they are hard to find. In fact, my neighbor thought it was a new car. I think I got a great deal, probably all in, $500-$1,000, under the best deal I could have gotten from an area dealer and as a single mom, I avoided the awful 3-5-hour dealership hassle I've been through with 2 previous cars (and the unexpected fees and add-ons pressure). Just had a terrible experience attempting to buy a Toyota Sienna from Carvana. Don't buy from them! It may look simple and easy, buying a car online, but the reality was quite different. And in the end, they are apparently NOT delivering a car to us today at 5pm (as indicated in the confirmation they sent us two weeks ago!). As far as we knew, the car was on its way but they in fact have sold it to someone else! We even sold our second car expecting this one to arrive today but discovered yesterday that they didn't put our sale through. And we wouldn't have even known that if I hadn't stumbled across something in my account that said that our car was unavailable for purchase. So bizarre. And as others have said, if you call them, you're on hold for ages, and if you chat them, they take awhile for a human to get back to you. Also note that the reviews they show online are only from people who have managed to actually buy a car. For those of us that wasted our time attempting to buy a car but didn't ultimately get one, there's no way to post a review. So they totally misrepresent themselves to customers. read more

Overall I had a pretty good experience I did have to change my vehicle after having 4 delays on the vehicle and didn't want to keep waiting on a car that seemed to never make it to delivery date. Other than that my other vehicle I changed to was on time and there when supposed to be. The Nashville staff was amazing and friendly. the vehicle was more than I expected due to buying online. Also any concerns I've had with the vehicle has been addressed and in process to getting fixed. really could give them a 5 star but with the delays on prior car I can't. take advantage of the 7 day return to get your car checked by car dealership I was lucky to only have few minor fixes. And inform them on any cosmetic concerns during that time frame as well really check out the car because some things they miss and are not showed on imperfections on website, which it happens overall easy process and would definitely give them a go for my next car purchase. thank you Carvana! :) read more

Infiniti QX80 We never imagined ourselves buying a car completely online, but here we are, and it was a great experience! We utilized resources of friends/workforce to check the VIN and CarFax, as well as run a complete diagnostic on it, the day after delivery. Everyone was impressed with what a great vehicle it is! Online purchasing was easy and straightforward. Never felt caught off guard or leery of anything. Terms were standard to the industry, and clear. Our vehicle arrived within the scheduled time frame, had new tires and a full tank of gas! Our Carvana agent, Kayla, was knowledgeable, professional and very communicative. Everything lined up with the online listing. Only "cons" is it would be nice if the vehicles (or at least ours) was given a good cleaning before delivery. We were also only given one key fob and had to order a second ($200+). We are outside of our return window, and still loving our new SUV, and feel great about our purchase! read more

We purchased our new family car 7 days ago. Because of the amount of the purchase and because it's online, which means you can't actually touch the vehicle, I was nervous and had lots of questions of course. I called the Carvana team at least 9 different times with more and more questions, and their team was always happy to help and answer each of my questions until I felt comfortable enough to order our car. They were never pushy in any way and wanted to simply make this a great car buying experience for our family. From that first call to the delivery day (the delivery team member was awesome), to the 7 days after purchase, the entire team has made this the best experience we've ever had purchasing a vehicle. I don't plan on using any traditional dealers in the future, and I am looking forward to using the referral program to refer people to Carvana as much as I can. Keep up the great work Carvana. This was such a great experience! I have been needing a new car for a while now, and heard good things about Carvana, so I decided to go for it. I did a bit of researching, but found that all of their prices were really competitive. So I sat down with my computer on a Saturday, went ahead and locked in the car I had my eye on. The process was smooth, simple, and clear. It all in all probably took about 40 minutes, and I think I took a bit longer to look over some of the details since this was my first car. After that, I got a scheduled delivery time, and the car was dropped off at my house on Thursday. Signed a few papers, and done! It really could have made it earlier than that too, but that was the only time I could work out with my work schedule. I really could not believe buying a car was so easy, and everyone I interacted with in the process was super helpful. I would definitely recommend this as the way to buy a car! read more

I had gone to several dealerships to test drive a Cadillac before I actually purchased it. It took me about 20 minutes to buy it online, financing and all! The car arrived on time and with no issues. Interior and exterior were clean. The delivery driver was very friendly, went through all of the paperwork with me. I've had the car for 7 days now and I absolutely love it. The only thing that I noticed is that the oil level was at 20%, not sure if I'm being too picky, but I would have wished that it had been changed during the inspection. Other than that.... No complaints. I took it to get inspected before my 7 days were up to make sure I wasn't buying a lemon and everything checked out. Carvana even gave me a $10 gift card that was in the gas tank compartment when I opened it up! (Nice touch!) I would definitely recommend using Carvana to family and friends. Amazing Experience We got our car on Tuesday. It was a hassle free amazing experience. We placed our order on Thursday and by Tuesday we had our car. The delivery guy Jeffy from Delanco NJ was so wonderful. His smile and knowledge made the process so seamless. I was never once worried about buying the car totally online. We visited a dealer over the weekend prior to buying and the dealer wanted almost $2000 in fees (dealer prep, admin fees etc). Carvana has none of those. The price was absolutely in line with what we found on the lot of the dealers we visited. I would never EVER buy a used car from a dealer again. We love our car a 2016 Chevy Traverse with only 21000 miles for $27k. I added the extended warranty just to be safe, but Carvana stands behind the vehicle with an impressive 100 day warranty included with the purchase. Thanks so much Carvana.
