I've been coming to Jessie at Alter Ego for almost a year now. She has taken such great care of my…read morehair, all while being able to wear invisible bead extensions. I purchase my extensions from her very own hair line, and it is top quality. Lasts me almost a year compared to other brands that lasts about 4 months. Her method of sewing the extensions is the best I've experienced. There's no wild "bat wings" from the sides. Her method keeps everything laid down nicely. No slipping. And can we talk about her blending technique?! Insane! I've learned to trust the process because her skills are exceptional, and I always leave feeling so amazing! 10/10 recommend!

The owner left the bottom half of my hair…read morein foils for over 2.5 hours and the top back part of my hair was clipped up and highlighted for only thirty minutes. After showing another hair stylist with 30 years experience I was told the bottom and sides of my hair was blown out and over processed bc of the foils were left in for over 2.5 hours and top part of the back of my hair was under processed bc the top part was in foils for approximately 30 minutes causing brassy highlights. Could the under processing and over processing be result from the fact the owner juggling three other hair coloring appointments while highlighting my hair having two other stylists (one stylist with less than a year experience) jumping in and out of the highlighting process asking questions not knowing what to do, and at the washing bowl asking the owner what end result she was expecting, then charging $429.00. This process alone took from 3:45 to 7:45 If the owner would stuck just foiling my hair it would have taken 1/2 of the time and allowed my hair to process evenly. I came in the salon with virgin hair with my natural color that had no developer on it for over two years. The only reason I tipped is bc of the two girls who helped her juggle all her appointments booked to close together and had been in the salon 12 hrs. I contacted the owner the next morning and said I was not happy, owner said my hair was not in the right condition? My question is why leave developer in my hair for over 2.5 hours then, while juggling three other clients? Owner is trying to say it was bc I had box dye in my hair which was NOT accurate. I used professional temporary color once in two years on a small area by the temples of my head for few grey hairs. The owner also accused me of being threatening? What? I am 62 years old and am posting a very bad experience. This was not a professional experience at all and cost over $500 with tip. My hair feels like straw from being left in foils for over 2.5 hours. I asked for refund and told the owner I would be publicly posting this experience to warn others. I told her to give the $90.00 tip to the other two stylists. I have never written a bad review for any business being a business owner myself. Owner took pictures of me without my permission when I explicitly told her I did not want my picture taken! I have been in a professional business for thirty eight years and don't want photos of me in foils circulating on cellphones or in a salon.

This past Tuesday I went in for a haircut, a layered pixie cut. I got a woman who was named Christy…read morea older woman. When I set down she says oh you got the curly hair like we like. I guess she thought I wore it curly and didn't pay attention to gaps. I actually wear my hair straight. And been wearing the same cut for a while. The lady didn't even so much take her comb from the roots and do the 1 1&2 inch finger hold. More or less if she had just put a bowl on my head and cut straight around it. I'd probably came out with the same cut. Because I have a bowel cut. No layers, no tapering, no texte rising it. More or less I'd probably done better to get a $2 haircut. She knew I wasn't happy with it when I left. But now after 4 days later, I'm still not happy with it. It still looks like someone put a bowl on it and went around it. I still can't do anything with it. But since I spent $20 on a craped up haircut. I have to wait till I get some extra money. Are these people licenced here? Did they do the state board? Because she clearly doesn't know how to go by a picture I kept holding up and showing her either! Want be back. And if any goes and a older woman named Christy wants to cut your hair. Say you'll pass to the next person.

The lady put some shampoo on her hand and with the palm of her hand she rubbed the shampoo all over my head and then rinsed it out. I used to be a hairdresser years ago and I know what a good shampoo is supposed to feel like she did not use the tips of your fingers to scrub my hair at all. She just rubbed some shampoo around with the palm of her hand. Because a shampoo is only $9. I was going to give her a $10 tip but she did not even scrub my hair so she only got a $5 tip. And if you're going there for a shampoo, don't waste your time because they'll cut your hair, but they wet it down with a bottle. They don't even clean your hair
