The burger patties are very flavorful and of course, those french fries!!!!! They are really just about the best. We split an order of the fries and still had enough to bring home....hello there, air fryer!!!! The service is VERY attentive and you never have to ask for refills and they stay on top of the orders even when there are many many to go orders going out at the same time. This place has the coolest setting and I love how they leave the old look. I saw on the wall a picture of the building back in the beginning and it was the cutest old Dairy Queen. This is by far smaller than any modern Dairy Queen but we really enjoy the diner style with the stools at the counter. Don't be surprised if someone sitting nearby strikes up a conversation. Beware, if it is ME then I WILL strike up a conversation. This will be one of those places that we plan to enjoy again in the future when passing through Paris, Texas.

We've hat this happen a couple times before, but this time was just too much. We got out of church about 7:40pm and as customary on Sunday evening, a group of us went to the Dairy Queen to get a meal. we arrived at the business about 7:50, and as usual half the dinning area was already closed with chairs upside down on the tables. We have had this happen before and with a little begging, since our group normally runs from 8-12, we have been able to persuade the girls to let us take the chairs down and be seated. This past Sunday I decided that having to ask to sit in an area that should still be open was not necessary, so we took the chairs down and went to the counter to order. When I got to the counter, the worker advised me very rudely that we were not to take the chairs down and could sit elsewhere. I look around and saw that all tables had at least 1 person sitting at them and told the worker that we had 8 people and that was the only area that would accommodate our group, at which she responded again that we could not take the chairs off the top of the table. This business does not close until 9pm. if they are going to start closing before 8pm they should close the eating area all together and only take drive throughs. Sorry for such a long review, but I think customers deserve a little service, since we are the ones that spend our money there. I sorry but they will not see any more of our small little church group. The food was very good there, but unfortunately for this business, they will will no longer get any of ours.

My dad got the 2 Tree's meal with ribs and cheddar sausage for the meat, and the Pickled Okra Salad, and the White Trash Potato Salad as the two sides. The service we experienced was exceptional. It felt like a community. We got to meet the owner. He is a winner of the cooking tv show Chopped. A very nice, humble man who loves what he does. I'm a fan of chopped and have been since I was a little kid, so it was very cool to me to meet and talk to him. He gave us his Apple Cobbler Burnt Ends for free. The ambiance of Phat Tabb's BBQ was amazing. It captured the western vibe, while also feeling welcoming in many ways. I would highly recommend Phat Tabb's BBQ.
