Really awesome LGS (local game store) ! We went here for the Chaos Rising pre-release event on…read moreSaturday (my first time for a pre-release, and our first time here). Everything was well organized and the turnout was pretty good. There were two groups, one for juniors and one for (young) adults, for fairness. Another thing I liked was that everyone got 3 extra packs instead of awarding it based on wins, given we're playing with pre-con decks + 4 packs that are all random. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, shout-out to Bryan (the general manager?) and the official judge for the event. Plus I had a great conversation with him and Michael(?) about MTG; they're definitely very passionate about board & card games. They have anti-scalping policies in place for Pokemon. As for the space itself, decent amount of parking (more in the back). They're very popular for Warhammer, so there's a ton of product for those who play, and several tables set-up with many people playing all afternoon next to us (the 'playing hall' is pretty large!). They also have an aisle with board games for sale, and a counter with TCG products. Restrooms are spacious and clean. All in all, The Forge is pretty much all you can ask for in a LGS; they're also independently owned! I wish I live closer, but I'll definitely be here again soon!

What makes this the best game store, though, is the PEOPLE. They are welcoming, knowledgeable and happy to share what they clearly love. Go visit the new location & be prepared to LOVE IT!!

Employees are really amicable, but not all aware of the sales in-store so make sure to mention it at checkout if you are buying something with price reduced. The bad: the restrooms are not really clean and they could turn the A/C on, it's kind of warm in there.

Don't shop at this Hobby Lobby…read more This store sucks. On a Friday afternoon, there was only one lane open. The line was ridiculous. Wal Mart is faster than this place. I asked the Manager to please open another lane, and he said it might be a while before he could open another lane. In another words, he meant "no", but he was making up an excuse. They probably don't pay worth crap, and that's why they appear to be understaffed. In addition to crappy service, the Manager was just standing there flipping coins while customers were standing and waiting in line. He didn't seem to care. Maybe his "Daddy" is a part-owner of Hobby Lobby, and he has job security to be able to just stand there all day, and flip coins. Are you kidding me? The Manager makes more money than the cashier, but the Manager is just standing there flipping coins. This place is a joke. There is a Michael's 5 minutes away at Westheimer and Voss. If you're smart, you will do your shopping there. The Manager is definitely overpaid. He probably can't tie his own shoes. Bruce Wilson
