Hired a company called Armour spray foam to come spray our house about a year ago. The whole…read moreprocess was BS, they never showed up to do the estimate, the guy said "send me pictures" so I went into attic and sent pictures of the walls and ceilings that I wanted insulated. They gave me a quote. I said sure proceed with work. The spray foam jefe came out to spray. That should have been my first red flag, the company I contracted with wasn't the one doing the work. Then they did the walls only and said they weren't going to spray the ceilings. Which would totally defeat the purpose of spray foaming any of it. So the guy literally yelled at me because he didn't have that in his estimate. I then said well I'm not paying for full job since y'all didn't do it. The guy huffed up said they were going to do it. I just went up there with an hvac guy cause surprise surprise one room isn't getting cooled down. Hvac guy climbs over a ladder he put on the spray foam and to no surprise they only sprayed the portion of ceiling that was visible from the lower attic. Which explains why they took their ladder out so soon. The other BS is they sprayed the opening where I could've seen it straight to the roof so the area that was not sprayed was not viewable. Not only that they didn't remove the insulation on the ceiling either. At the end the had me make check out to spray foam jefe Don't use these lazy, lying, crooks

I went with…read moreCalloway & Sons solely based on their positive Yelp reviews as my friends really didn't have anyone to recommend. I'm not going to lie: getting this system installed in a home we were living in at the time was not a pleasure and I won't ever go through it again. We had to get the duct work done which is a horrifying mess (there's no way around it) and to Calloway & Son's credit, they did suggest we go with a split system. Live and learn. We also thought we were getting a system with zones which didn't happen and it was never fully explained why, but in these old homes with impossibly high ceilings and two levels, your bills are going to be extremely high if you have one single unit. It is what it is. I certainly don't blame them for that! But on to the most important stuff: the system is pretty good. Again, old house, not the greatest insulation and taking all that into consideration we are comfortable 80% of the year. The other 20% of times are where things are a less than awesome: this year's blizzard and any extremely cold days mean for a very hot upstairs, requiring us to run the window AC unit. And on those blistering hot summer days, there's no way we're comfortable upstairs without the window unit. Again, my house... it's ancient. It wasn't made for these types of systems. Last summer, there was a day in August when the system stopped working on a Friday. I was more than a little disappointed when I was told they couldn't give us a service visit unit until Monday. If you live here, you know it is literally unbearable to not have AC on a summer day. Luckily the very kind lady on the phone worked with us and fit us in. I also now pay for insurance that ensures priority service. I was only able to afford to get the HVAC on the owner's side of my two family house done and that was about 25K. The financing was not great... if I hadn't paid it off ASAP, it would have been almost double that. So try to pay it all upfront if possible. At least the option is there if you need it.

He discovered that one of the duct ties had come loose and he attached it. He explained how the tie and duct came loose and the entire process. I'm a bit more knowledgeable now! Fast forward to 2023, we experienced one of the hottest summers ever in south Louisiana. My two brand new AC units simply couldn't compete with the heat and lack of airflow in my attic. I decided to have our attic spray foamed but, with the industry being unlicensed in the state of Louisiana, I came across countless companies that simply didn't have the credentials to back them up. Until a friend suggested a larger company, Sunlight Contractors. Well, they may be a big company but they sure don't make you feel like it. The owner, Mr. Ira, called me back personally and gave me a very detailed run-down of the process and how it would all work. His communication was thorough, clear, and accurate. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did so exactly when they said they were going to do it. Even in 100+ degree heat, they came in and removed all of my old insulation, bagged it up and hauled it away, sprayed my attic and added a level of comfort for my family that we had yet to experience since living in our home for the last 9 years. His crews were professional, clean, and I barely knew they were even there. My electric bill, previously $600 a month, was cut in half and I'll pay for my foam investment in a couple of years. Of all the contractors we used during our rebuild, there wasn't one in the same sphere as Mr. Ida and his team. If you're considering foam and are unsure, give them a call. I can guarantee that you won't regret that decision.

Giving us all the info on what we were getting and what to expect with our new roof. I can honestly say this has been one of the best experiences with anyone we have had do contract work. Thank you Ira and team for making this a seamless experience.

This has been proven to be very taxing emotionally, financially, and physically. My Godsent partnership with Sunlight Contractors, LLC is a result of my personal frustration with the unreturned phone calls, missed appointments, improper inspections, and inflated estimates I experienced with over 20 other roofing contractors. After this hurricane, tarps were placed by someone else, but more were needed due to the continuous rains and high winds. Mr. Ira's crew quickly provided new ones and properly nailed down the existing ones. Because I presently reside in North Texas and own property in Louisiana transacting business during this Covid-19 pandemic has been mostly virtual and proven to be adventurous. Authorizing Sunlight Contractors, LLC with this job assignment has me fully persuaded that there are still companies out here that want their clients to be proud of their investment (home). I was able to select the shingles that I wanted and not pressured into selecting only what was currently in stock. After their meticulous inspection of my property, I was provided a contract that gives the job description so in depth that it lists how many boxes of nails that are needed. My every interaction with Sunlight Contractors, LLC specifically Ms. Jessica and Mr. Ira has been enlightening, educational, impressive, reassuring and downright outstanding!!!! Mr. Ira and Ms. Jessica have repeatedly quelled my fears with their superior, noteworthy dedication to deliver a 5 star customer satisfaction experience from the beginning to the end. They are very patient, detail-oriented and have answered my every question with a phone call if necessary rather than a text or email. If you're at the beginning of the process of hiring a roofing contractor, don't do what I did and waste time and money by "entertaining" inexperienced contractors that aren't qualified to inspect your property let alone assist you with the insurance claim submission process. With this company I feel like I have become a member of an "elite group" of people because I'm one of their clients. Come on and join me and hire SUNLIGHT CONTRACTORS, LLC. This is one choice in life you won't regret making!
