The guys working here were a godsend. We got a flat right on the access road before the flying J, and got in a parking spot there just in time. I went in asking for a socket/wrench set and the guys in there got me to a couple sets to choose from AND gave me a recommendation and directions to go to Southern Tire Mart down the road. Can't thank the Flying J guys and the Tire Mart guys here enough. Good, honest guys at both places. If you're lucky to get a flat near there, you'll be alright. We got a replacement that probably wasn't the cheapest but not bad at all for how quickly they got to us and took care of us. That means a lot. read more

There was a bit of a line to the bay and Allen came out and replaced my 4 old tires out in the lot from his truck so I wouldn't have to wait. One of our back rear dual tires blew on i-40 coming into Amarillo. Probably the 110+ temperatures! We limped to the tire area of I-40 (east of town) and pulled into this as our second stop. It was a new location, under construction but open for business. Yes, they had four tires to replace. But no we couldn't run our generator in the tire bay, and no, our two dogs could not come into the brand new, large, tiled, empty waiting room. So two almost 50 year old adults and our two kids and our two dogs sat outside on the concrete, in the shade, waiting while the rear tires were replaced. In 110-degree heat. For about an hour and a half. Eventually someone came out and said we could move to a corner of the waiting room. We enjoyed some nice A/C for about 15 minutes. They did a great job on our tires, the cost was no more/less than anyplace else (about $1,500) but their customer service blew worse than our tire did. read more

Traveling through Amarillo in our RV and noticed the two front tires were starting to wear funny. Called Southern Tire to see if they had an appointment available. The receptionist was very sweet, happy and helpful. Saying to come on in and they techs would get us back on the road as quick as possible. True to get word, a tech was waiting on us. He listened to our concern, looked at the tires, checked the pressure and laid to rest our concerns as normal wear and tear. He got us back on the road within 1/2 an hour. I live 80 miles from Amarillo and requested a credit app so I could do business with southern tire mart as I own 10 semis and 5 work trks. They sent app to my office and ten min later my local tire supplier was calling me up wanting to know why I was trying to do Bus. with tire mart. The tire mart personal had called my local tire man to let him know I was shopping around. NO I haven't sent in my credit app and I will not be doing so in the future.
