I used my Firestone account with my saved vehicle, to select tires and received a full "out-the-door" quote, including installation, taxes, and ALL fees, installed at my local shop. I reserved the tires, price and appointment, as directly offered. After booking, the store called and advised the price would be approximately $200 higher (roughly 20%) than the quoted out-the-door total; otherwise I would receive no warranty, etc.; despite the tires advertised with a 70K manufacturer limited warranty, and a 90-day limited satisfaction guarantee. I mentioned that I had reserved the tires at the locked price online, and was told that the prices online did not reflect the actual price at the location. I canceled the appointment, and the order. I contacted customer service, first via the online chat, which they push you to, to clarify if I had perhaps missed something; but the chat was not helpful, or intuitive. I then called the corporate 1-800 number to ask about the quoted out-the-door pricing online, versus a location not honoring the price. Long story short, while they were very polite (at every step) I was informed that I could not count on any location to honor the advertised Firestone pricing, and I'd be advised to contact local stores only from this point forward. It would be easy to try and point the finger at a single party, but I don't think that's fair. I think this demonstrated a serious systemic problem from the local level all the way to the corporate office(s).

I'll probably still get my brakes done, here, but I did not have a good experience this morning…read more first, i was told I needed front and rear brakes done ( which I knew was not true because they did all 4 just a few years back. I kept my paperwork). secondly, I was charged $100 more than I should've been because I knew they covered the pads and calipers for life. when I told the woman at the register, she called the technician and he apologized and took off the $100 from my bill. my point is this: the tech shouldve known about my previous brake jobs and my loyalty to Mac's. but most importantl, if I had not spoken up, Mac's would've ripped me off for $100 and if I had done all 4 sets of brakes it would've been closer to $250!! and I know this, because the woman at the counter was about to ring up my bill and didn't check my past brake jobs, either... I'm not too happy with Mac's. they are usually quite reliable...

I was surprised he was able to help me so quickly because they were quite busy. He got me fixed up and on my way! I would definitely recommend the place based on the customer service alone because I didn't have to have service work done only tire pressure checked and he added air to my tires.

This time, I brought my husband's Jeep in to get oil change, tires rotated, and an alignment. The alignment was added on last minute. I guess whoever was working on it decided to just skip the alignment thinking it "didn't need it," and still charge a woman, who didn't know any better, for it anyway. $250 later, I got it home and husband drove it and said sure enough it was driving exactly the same as before. I should've known when the guy wouldn't look me in the eyes and talked about how he himself didn't think it really needed it. Ladies, I wouldn't go here for anything more than an oil change without a man present, sadly, unless you know your crap when it comes to vehicles.

When my car arrived, one of the workers used the tow truck driver's cell phone to call me and ask why I "didn't just buy two more tires to have a full set". He said he was just wondering because he's a little "OCD". He also asked me why I didn't "just take the car to the place I got the original tires from". When I explained the issue, he laughed and said "let me go look up your tire size". Luckily the tow truck driver was just as appalled by his attitude as I was and offered to tow my car to another place free of charge. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
