I want to start out I was not going to post a review to help out the little guy, who just purchased this campground Nov 1. The grass was a foot tall with many gnats. While in our camper my husband got up and killed 2 roaches on the floor! We have never had roaches! He lost the guy who mowed and could not mow himself because the blades were broke. The men's bathroom had no urinals they had been removed and under construction. We left at sunrise to our destination The whole place needed a paint job and to be renovated. Received 4 stars b/c I really needed wifi and it did not work. It was sporadic and rarely worked. We had to use our phone hotspots. Pros: Loved the natural looking site i.e. grass/dirt parking pads, gravel roads. Pecan trees throughout parking sites. very quiet! Fishing pond Church on site, centralized fire pit, clean bathhouses and laundry room. Loved seeing the horses nearby. Cons: Lots of turtles in the pond so we were not able to catch any fish, seems to be a lot of long term residence but their sites were neat and clean, Noisy due to the close proximity to the interstate and at least 10 trains a day! Poor internet, No hose cap on septic drain (open hole with metal removal cover) LOTS of ants and ant mounts! read more

This place was surprisingly open given our late week+ booking, which in hindsight should have been a red flag! From the second you walk in the door you are NOT greeted (she looks over her glasses at you with that look of, why are you here? Why do I have to deal with you) by the nastiest bitter old lady you have ever seen! The grounds are not kept well, I don't care if they just changed owners... it's not good. Trees are not maintained and hang low taking many spots out of contention for our modest 11'6" TT. My son went in to get quarters ($10) for the laundry and he came back asking me what he did wrong to have someone talk to him so rudely... I told him he did nothing wrong and explained how some people just are always angry and hateful. My daughter had a similar experience with my wife doing laundry a few days before. I went in to ask about a washer that had been on the first wash stage for over 1 hr and she proceeds to tell me that they get no money from them, they don't know anything about them and they somehow lose money on exchanging $10 bill for $10 in quarters. So clearly she doesn't know how money works... One of the old men that I had an interaction with, wasn't much different. Barking at me that I went down a "one-way" lane that Was Not Marked as a one-way. But he didn't care! Just like he doesn't care while cutting the grass, shooting more than 1 rock INTO THE SIDE OF OUR CAMPER!!! The bugs and flies are horrible even though we were nowhere near the garbage. Can't tell if it's Georgia in general or this site specifically. Site was covered in bottle caps and cigarette butts so they clearly don't care about anything after someone leaves. No QC or checks done for any site. The cable that is advertised on the highway sign is non existent. Shredded cable ends from years past are all you get. The sewer is basically just a whole in the ground. No threads to secure your hose, so every dump is a heinous smelly experience. Their WiFi is horrible, I only see 1 ubiquiti access point on a 4x4 post against the fence near site 44. There may be one somewhere in the office but I can't see it. Not enough density for a park this size... not even close! Whoever is doing their system (which they say is a "pro" clearly has no idea about the coverage requirements, signal degradation or pitfalls of an RV park. Majority of the pull-throughs are NOT long enough to stay connected with anything longer than a smaller class B/C. If you have a Class A, forget it. All in all it wasn't a good experience and we will never be back! RPI should remove this place from their system because it is so bad and the people are so rude. If I had paid ANY more money for this stay (outside of the Thousand Trails/RPI) I would be livid for having wasted my money! It's maybe worth $10 a night, MAX. read more

Southern Trails RV Resort - Bad Experience - RV Parks Near Me - Unadilla, Georgia

Large, conveniently located RV park in Southern Georgia, right off I 75. Greats pricing with PPA and has other discounts, GS, AAA... many of the sites are treed, some have picnic tables and ours was relatively level. There was a mini golf course and pool, neither of which we used, as we were there for just an overnight stop. We go Central Florida to Atlanta often, and this will probably become our go to stop as where we stayed previously no longer offers PPA. read more

I loved this place! Going up I-75 to North Georgia we saw this place along with a sign that said "$20 a night". Our original plan was a WalMart parking lot or a rest area for a quick overnight. But hey, at $20 why not. Went in the office and was met by a super friendly gentleman. He informed me he didn't have a 50 amp spot big enough to accommodate our RV and trailer. He had 30 amp spots that were empty and told us we could park at an angle over a couple of them if that would work. Oh heck yeah! We'll just run one a/c. LOL. The setting was lovely, huge pecan trees, lots of space to walk our dog, cotton growing nearby, the cutest little church in the park. A really pretty place and sooo worth the money. While walking to the dumpster with our trash, met a lady on a golf cart with cleaning supplies. She told me "just put it in my cart and I'll take care of it for you". It's that kind of thing that keeps me coming back to places - simple kindness and friendliness. Now if you're one of "those" RVers that gripe about the traffic noise from the interstate, the age of bath houses, the unlevel sites, the handful of "full time" residents, and lack of nearby 4 star restaurants - don't stop here. This is a super friendly, small, appears to be family run park, with reasonable prices. It's definitely on our list for overnights when traveling this way! read more

July 4, 2021 at 3:30pm Happy 4th of July! I went to pay my monthly rent of $440 at Southern Trails RV Park, Unadilla, Georgia. I was confronted by Mary (the manager) that she was refusing payment and thus throwing me out of the park rendering me homeless. I asked what the problem was (alarmed). Mary ambushes me in front of staff and guests. She humiliated me and went through a list of issues as follows. 1) I was doing something to the laundry machines and she had it on camera footage. I explained that I put $1.50 of quarters in the machine and it became jammed half-way through and I jiggled the lever several times to get it drop the quarters for service. I had also talked to the assistant manager (Monica) to see if I could a.) get my money back and b.) report the malfunction. 2) I argue with the staff and that she manages the park NOT me. Mary mentions that my conversation (above) with Monica as an example. Monica is called over and confirms that my discussion was not an argument with her. 3) I was supposedly scaring guests by walking around talking to myself and waving my hands. I responded that I was on my phone talking to my cousin with my earbuds in my ear. I did not threaten anyone and I was only focused on my conversation with my cousin while trying to get some exercise. I also talk with my hands. 4) I was accused of going through peoples mail (in the open basket in the public lobby at the time) looking for other peoples checks. I explained to her that I am awaiting mail that had to be addressed to a physical location due to the agency involved and that my PO Box (that she mentioned during the accusation) was not the acceptable venue for my receiving mail of that type. Mary has since moved the mail behind the counter. 5) As Mary was calming down, I tried to be sympathetic to her plight. I was told by Mary that she didn't want to be a "bitch" but the guests acted like babies always complaining and that she had darkness in her heart. She also mentioned that she was going to fine people for infractions of a previous contract. 6) After all of this, she accepted the money for rent and, as she walked away, added, "We'll see how this goes..." Update: 7) Their Grounds keepers did minor damage to my RV by throwing rocks with their powered mowing equipment. 8) The sanitary conditions at the park are DANGEROUS! The flies are horrendous due to the industrial community garbage bin having a bottom that is rusted out scattering what ever people throw in there and the nearby horse farm. 9) There is something seriously wrong with this woman's mental state. DO NOT be fooled. 10) You know they want you to leave when they leave a dangerous condition with your power pole unfixed for several weeks (common tactic by landlords and managers which is illegal). 11) STAY AWAY unless you like being mentally traumatized. Do not converse with staff let alone tell them your plans 12) The true owner of the park is in Ocala, Florida. I hope he reads this and is gravely concerned. 13) I had to rate this a 1 star to post......it deserves no stars. I am an honorable veteran and live in my RV. I feel threatened over her actions and last comment in item no. 6. On July 5, I initially filed an incident report with Officer D. Johnson of the Dooley County Sheriff's Office.
