Don't expect the usual Jellystone!! It's not and won't be for a long time. Any reviews that are over a year old are from when it was Hillside RV Park and were false and replied to by the ones running it now! The people who are running it are the worst! They tell everyone anyone else's business which is totally unprofessional. After reporting having been called vulgar words by other guests, the manager actually said.. "If I had a dollar for everytime I got called a s*ut, I'd be a millionaire." Then overheard him Tell the asst. manager "If she doesn't want people to call her a s*ut, she shouldn't dress like that" when I called and asked for apology, he threatened to throw me out if I came to him with anymore drama! The last straw was hearing asst say to mngr "Notice she quit bitchin after you threatened to throw her out?" I'm a senior and disabled. They refused to remove my broken awning, though they have a junk pile that they dispose of EVERYTHING, even hazardous materials. If you are ok with people like that, have fun. Last thing: a man committed suicide there when it was still Hillside RV Park. read more

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Broken awning after wind shear. - Campgrounds Near Me - Cochran, Georgia

This campground became a Jellystone Park earlier this year and they are slowly developing it into what you'd expect from Jellystone. They are in the process of building more cabins and have plans to add a waterpark. But right now, it is a mainly a large wooded campground. There are remnants from the old campground about that we checked out during our walks around the park. We went during the week for my birthday (no children) and there were no activities scheduled, only on weekends. We stayed in a cabin in the back and it was very quiet and enjoyable. And close enough to the bathhouse. Staff members Judy and Brenda were very friendly, helpful, courteous and accommodating. So were other staff members. Kudos to Brett for having Yogi Bear come visit me at the cabin and bring me a present. This made our stay at Jellystone much more memorable. We look forward to coming back and seeing the changes they make. read more

This camp ground is more of a transient facility than a RV Campground or resort. Many of its tenants are permanent or semi-permanent. Facility is meager and not very attractive. The do have a small pool, propane, and not too modern bath house. They have a few full service sites on slabs but most are dirt, some gravel. The lake drys up every year. They used to have a very popular bluegrass festival which went elsewhere. They advertise now a annual bluegrass festival, but it is not well attended. read more

Clean, well-kept park. Very friendly, accommodating, welcoming staff. Lots of amenities. (Pool, dog park, catch and release fishing pond.) Special sites set aside for folks staying just one night, easy in and easy out. Would love to stay there again. read more

No camping! No cars! RV's ONLY! Turned up at the front office to rent a site to park our small car and stay overnight as we had been driving all day. Called the number listed on the door as it was unmanned at 6pm. The lady seemed very nice until I asked if we could pay to park our car, which she then sternly repeated "we don't allow camping or sleeping in cars!!". We had to leave without any suggestions of where else we could go. Nowhere on the website does it say you can't park your car, so I was surprised when we were told we couldn't stay even if we paid full price. read more

Super family style campground. Not fancy, but not a crowded asphalt KOA. There are nice trees and a friendly staff. The sites are mostly hard packed gravel, but wide and not crowded. There is a stage and entertainment on some evenings. Close to golf and only a short drive to several good local restaurants or supplies. The pool and restrooms are clean and well kept. We have enjoyed the primitive sites in our pop up, stayed in the cute cabins, and are now storing our 5th wheel there (at a super low rate) between visits. This place reminds me of the State Park campgrounds of my youth. Quite the bargain. Highly recommend! read more

My family and I came to this park to escape "Florence". We chose this park mainly because it has a closed dog fenced area for dogs to run leash free. Our dogs are not leash trained so this was our saving grace. The park is very spacious and has a lot of trees. The spots aren't crowded like sardines like a lot of parks. The folks who run the park "Jeff" and "Joy" are very friendly and willing to accommodate. We enjoyed visiting with them. Now to the negatives which is a short list. The dog park is wonderful but the gate needs to be adjusted to be more secure. Also the dog park needs some kind of lighting out there at night. It is a black hole! We were over ran with ants all inside our trailer. Our neighbors also had the same problem as did the people beside them. The ants need to be treated. With that said we enjoyed our peaceful stay. We would come back again in a heart beat! read more

My husband and I have been coming to Hillside RV Park for 3 years and I have to say this is one of our favorite campgrounds. We retired in 2017, sold our house and got rid of all our stuff and became part of the full-timing RV community. Hillside was the first stop on our maiden voyage to Arizona. We stayed 4 days that first trip and it was everything that we thought it would be. The owners (Chanse and Chickie) and management (Joy and Jeff) were very helpful and in that 4 days we made some lifelong friends. We have traveled out west for the last 3 years and always stayed at Hillside on the way out and back in. This year we decided to stay at Hillside for a few months. I have to add that being at Hillside is like coming home. As we have traveled across country several times, we have stayed in a lot of parks, most that are more like drive-in movie parking lots. Hillside is a campground with trees, squirrels and deer. It has a rain filled little lake, a small but very clean pool, nice and clean bath houses and laundry facilities. They will pick up, fill and deliver your propane tanks, which is a really nice feature, especially at our age. Also I love that we can actually have campfires here. I feel that is a big part of the RVing experience. In short, I would highly recommend Hillside RV Park. read more

Well priced but puts as many campers in one spot as possible and makes it crammed when they have tons of other open spots. Most residents are permanent and have nothing better to do all day then complain about music at 6 PM and the WiFi is garbage along with the phone service out there. read more

We have been coming to this park for years, a great family owned park. It sits in the woods with lots of room, but that means there are insects so come prepared. They make us feel right at home and the managers are wonderful. We stay a few months every year to get out of the cold. Great place to park read more
