At that point, I stepped in and quickly experienced the same issues. Calls went straight to voicemail with no response for days. When I finally reached him via text, he asked who I was, and after I explained and requested a call back, there was still no follow-up. I then contacted the physical store and spoke with a staff member who seemed surprised that we had not yet received payment. She assured me someone would reach out, but again, no one did. After continued effort tracking Anthony down, he eventually agreed to meet later that week, and we were finally paid. Communication is a basic expectation in any business, especially when dealing with something as sensitive as an estate. Unfortunately, that standard was not met here. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves their communication practices moving forward.

Certainly, you can understand how hard it is for Jena and her staff to host and monitor these events, especially when the home is full of items, both large and small. These items belong to the owners and GE has a responsibility to watch over everything in the home. That's the reason there is a sign asking that bags and purses be kept in your car and why they post that they reserve the right to check any bag brought inside. You chose to bring your bag in. Jena is a woman of strong character. She is loved and respected by our community because of who she is. I am most surprised by your accusation that you were targeted because of your race...Jena hires people of color and some were working at that very estate sale. Nancy, I'm so sorry that you felt you were wronged. I am really am. But, it's just as wrong for you to assail Jena Baker-Dennis's character.
