I like this place. I visited because Yelp said it was the best. We came on a Thursday late morning for breakfast while traveling through to Spokane. The ambiance is diner feel, clean and pleasant. I like the big counter you can sit at. There was one waitress who seemed a little frazzled. Not friendly but not unfriendly straight to the point no nonsense gal. I was super excited they had mimosas!!! I ordered one, and a basic breakfast, 1 egg, link sausage, "home fried potatoes" and toast. The breakfast tasted basic, uncomplicated, nothing spectacular. I ate it, it did the job by filling me up and was reasonably priced. I didn't like that the home fried potatoes were deep fried not grill fried which made them dry and overcooked. My husband ordered a burger which was again basic, not memorable. All in all a great place to stop for an uncomplicated basic breakfast or lunch that can handle large groups. read more

I was very disappointed..... the salad was not rinsed it was dry and just thrown on the plate with two shriveled tomatoes..... the patty melt was of course the hamburger was the frozen patties but they use the processed Swiss cheese.....which is horrible to me ..... the onions well let me tell you the cook had put the butt end of the onion on my sandwich.... Lazy Cook who doesn't wanna be there......I was told it was a very good restaurant so I was very excited to eat there...... seeing how I have a restaurant myself I do know what good food is... This past week I booked the banquet room for a surprise birthday party for my wife. Rae was incredibly great to work with, suggested a fantastic meal, and then served it herself! Forty people were invited, and everyone raved about the meal, spaghetti with an unbelievable meat sauce, garlic bread and a fresh green salad! The meat sauce was definitely the star, proving that Rae and her team put out nothing but the finest quality food for their customers! We came in and had dinner since their move. We have been usually very pleased with them. This time not so much. I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken and my husband ordered the hamburger steak. The hamburger steak was thin and so very not appealing as it was covered with this over powering gelatinous tasteless brown gravy. My chicken was really crispy but bland. It tasted as though they had precooked it and then fried it to warm it up. My mashed potatoes tasted old and were off colored. They still had the skins on them and so they discolored the potatoes themselves which was also covered in the brown tasteless gravy. read more

Really cute middle of nowhere diner that was nice to stop at in a long drive from Portland to Sandpoint idaho. Staff was so so kind. Stopped for a late lunch and learned that they'd be closing soon. I wished there was outdoor seating, but it was a hot day, so we appreciated a chance to enjoy the air conditioning. My dining date had an egg sandwich that apparently they don't make often because they had to check with her a few times where it was on the menu. Overall she really enjoyed the sandwich and the sweet potato fries. I got the soup and salad bar, the soup was a beef potato soup and there were lots of salad fixings. Most everything was fresh other than some weird looking onions and clearly canned veggies for toppings. There is also some smashed bits of potato under our table, and two flies that wouldn't leave us alone. None of this really bothered us all too much. The server treated us to four donuts on the house. I very rarely give a bad review. But as Anna R. Stated the service is rude. The large waitress was the bossy rude mask police. Especially after a long tiring road trip no one appreciates that kind of service. She blamed the other waitress for her mistake on our order. It felt like the nice waitress was trying to compensate for the rude bitchy waitress's bad attitude. I felt bad for the nice lady, I did give the nice waitress a good tip, but to my disappointment it sounded like tips are shared. When someone has to pretend to be nice, but isn't, they should NOT be in customer service. As far as the food goes, well the chicken fried steak was decent, the rest was average and below average. I also have to agree with Mic M. Never again. Average and below meals with very rude service. Sinking ship. read more
