    Corned Beef Hash
    Emily L.

Went on a Sunday morning for Mother's Day so it was pretty busy as most places were not open on Sunday. I joined the waitlist on google and we actually were seated quicker than was listed which was nice. I got the Viennese late with oat milk and it was delicious and not too sweet. I really loved the whipped cream on top! I also got the Northwestern eggs Benedict. It comes with a side of pancakes or potatoes and I decided to try the buttermilk pancakes. They were delicious and fluffy. The Benedict was good but it was a little bland, had to add extra salt and pepper. My favorite was the corned beef Hash. It had delicious crispy potatoes, and pieces of hash that was flavorful. We got scrambled eggs on top but an over easy egg would be delicious as well. Overall this place was delicious, I would definitely try other items when visiting next time. It's worth a visit.

Had a wonderful experience at Maple Counter Cafe! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Everything came out fresh, and the atmosphere made for a great dining experience. I highly recommend Maple Counter Cafe and will definitely be back!

It's classic (eggs, pancake, and sausages) and it's good. I like it. Friendly staffs and service.

If you're looking for a great place to have breakfast in Walla Walla, Washington, I highly recommend you try this restaurant. Food was great. Portions were very good and the service was fantastic. And the inside had great decor and was very spacious. Give it a try!

My amazing breakfast! My pancakes had bacon infused in them. Yummy! Bacon was delicious! I was starving too.

Amazing! First breakfast after flying in late last night. So delicious! 5 of us from LA to watch my grandson graduate from Whitman College. It's sure a cute restaurant and the breakfast hits the spot! He loves this place!

Excellent service and even better breakfast. My husband and I shared the chorizo omelet and it was fantastic. We subbed the pancakes for biscuits and gravy which were also fantastic. Highly recommend this place but come hungry or share cause the portions are HUGE!!!

This place is busy !! You can check in online and get on the waiting list. They don't take reservations but wait time really isn't that long. We waited 15min. Space is big, they have outdoor seating in the front but also have a back area as well. Paulo was our server and she was amazing! So friendly and she listened. We ordered the eggs Benedict to split so asked for an extra plate and when she brought our food our meals were already split up. We were so impressed with her. Each step of our experience she checked in to ensure we were ok. We had the pancakes and they were so perfect. Coffees are good as well. Place is very clean given how busy it is. It's a must when in Walla Walla!

Holy Mollie! Come hungry, go home stuffed. I had the special Lemon bar Raspberry French Toast and it was fantastic! I was full when I was about 2/3 done but ate the rest because it was so good. I'm pretty sure everything here is great. You'll pay for it though. Not cheap but worth it.

Looking for hearty breakfast portion? You're in luck at The Maple Counter Cafe! With over three pages of breakfast options you're sure to find your favorite dish, or adventure into something new. Waitstaff are friendly and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Eclectic antique decor brings this quaint cafe to life. Order online for take out options, or show up early to beat the typical 20 minute wait.

    Lavender Mocha (Off-menu) SO GOOD

This is the best breakfast spot in town--whether you're going with friends, family, or a significant other. Service is always quick and friendly, and the food is always delicious. The prices are fair for the portion sizes you get. The only downside is that the spacing between tables (if you're not sitting at a booth) can sometimes feel. a bit cramped, but it has never been a major issue with my friends. I highly recommend joining their waitlist prior to getting there. You easily do this online and it minimizes the time you're standing around when you get there. I also highly recommend their Lavender Mocha. YUM! If you would like another breakfast option to consider, the next best option is probably Bacon & Eggs, which, at the time of writing this review, is in the process of moving to a new location about 3 blocks from Maple Counter on Main Street. But otherwise, this is the most classic place that most here in town would recommend. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great locals Breakfast spot unique to Walla Walla!

    Apple Pancake, Link Sausage, Egg

This place was amazing. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. We got an iced cold brew coffee whiskey breakfast cocktail and their spiced apple whiskey breakfast cocktail. Both were amazing. Our favorite part was the house made espresso whipped cream. For breakfast, we ordered the apple pancake and a side of two eggs plus link sausage. The dishes there are all huge, so come hungry! The apple pancake was really good; quite unique. It was kind of like a combo of a pull apart monkey break, apple pie, and a thick pancake. It was pretty sweet, but very very good. Definitely split this with someone of you order it. The inside was quaint; they had each section of the walls decorated with a softer theme, which was fun.

Kentucky Coffee next to a regular coffee

Inviting and Satisfying! What a great place to have breakfast in Walla Walla. We walked in about 8:30am on a Saturday morning and were quickly greeted and seated. The place was already hopping with business, but we got lucky as they had a couple of empty tables still. They had some seasonal specials... like the Pumpkin pancakes. They also serve up adult breakfast bevvies in the morning. (You can't Drink All Day if you don't start in the morning. hahahaha!) The husband tried their Kentucky Coffee which had bourbon in it and was loaded on top with coffee flavored whip cream. It was a tad strong so he had them refill his cup with plain coffee once he had taken a few sips. So beware or maybe share it within someone. The pumpkin pancakes were fantastic! I go the short stack ... thinking it would be 3 ... no... it was 4. I didn't finish that 4th one. You could tell they were pumpkin but they were not overly pumpkin-y nor spicy cinnamon-y. It was the perfect flavor balance. They were not super sweet either which I appreciated. I didn't put much butter or syrup on them and just enjoyed them with the sprinkle of powdered sugar. Went great with my cup of Black Coffee. :) My mom had the Salmon Benny. Tasty and they gave her lots of country potatoes on the side. Husband had the Corned Beef Hash with 2 sunny side eggs. I had a bite of his corned beef and it was very flavorful and tender. So, if you like a hearty breakfast, this is a good one to get. You'll be full for most of the day and ready to tackle some big, physical project like putting up holiday decorations.

Sundown was our main server and it was lovely. The meal is a prix fixe, with opportunities to add on with additional dishes if desired. We added on the charred shishito peppers and cheese plate and both were lovely. The star of our dinner was the pasta and meat courses - no surprise since the chef is Mike Easton, of Il Corvo and Il Nido fame. I will be dreaming about that Sungold Tomato pasta for years to come. The best part? An entirely vegan menu for one of friends that was delicious and in line with what we were having as well. She rarely gets to experience food the same way we get to so it was a real treat for her to have a multi-course vegan meal as well. Our amazing server Sundown also urged us to walk outside and enjoy the amazing sunset and I'm so glad we did - August harvest sunsets are something else in Walla Walla. The grounds are also amazing - beautifully landscaped, fun to walk around after such a lovely meal. We had such a memorable meal and time together last night, I was so impressed and HAPPY afterwards.

We had high hopes for The Kitchen at Abeja. With its reputation for being named one of the best…read morewinery restaurants by wine enthusiasts, we expected an exceptional experience--especially since we were celebrating my birthday. The evening started beautifully. The property itself is gorgeous, and the first few dishes that came out were wonderful. Unfortunately, the experience took a significant turn once our entrées arrived. The restaurant was gracious enough to accommodate my request for halibut instead of beef while keeping my friend's steak as ordered. Unfortunately, both entrées were overcooked. My friend actually looked at me and asked, "Are you sawing at your fish?" Sadly, I was. The halibut was so overcooked that I literally had to saw through it with my knife. As my friend put it, "No one should ever have to use muscle to saw a fish." Exactly. Her steak was also overdone. We brought the issue to our server's attention, and she asked if we wanted the dishes taken back. Of course we said yes, assuming that at a restaurant of this caliber, the kitchen would remake the entrées and give us properly prepared meals. That, unfortunately, didn't happen. Instead, dessert arrived. And that came with its own unexpected issue: while eating it, my friend actually lost a tooth. Yes--her tooth literally came out while eating dessert. Needless to say, that was not how we expected the evening to end. What makes this especially disappointing is the restaurant's reputation and the price point. We came in expecting a memorable dining experience and were excited to celebrate a special occasion. Instead, I left without actually having a properly prepared main course, and my friend left with an overcooked steak and a missing tooth. There were certainly some bright spots--the setting is beautiful, and the opening dishes were very good--but at this level of dining, the execution and, perhaps more importantly, the response when something goes wrong should match the reputation. For the price we paid and the expectations set by the accolades, this experience simply fell far short. Most disappointing of all, it was my birthday, and what should have been a special celebration became an evening we'll remember for all the wrong reasons.

It was pretty busy inside, but after a bit we were able to order. I ordered an iced soy latte with a pump of almond. Also a regular iced latte. I also ordered a few pastries, the Kouign Amann, Almond Croissant, and Goat Cheese and Herb croissant. They unfortunately don't heat up any pastries which I wish they would because I do think it would make the pastries better. The Kouign was my favorite. It was crunchy and delicious and sweet, I would get again. The goat cheese croissant was pretty good but nothing too special. As for the Almond Croissant, I was very disappointed. It had hardly any almond filling, and there was no almond flavor. I wish they would put slivered almonds on it but it was completely lacking. I would skip the almond croissant completely. As for the coffee, I got a regular iced latte and a Soy almond latte. The coffee was not good at all and it makes me sad to say but after a few sips... I had to throw it away! I felt like it threw away $7. It was very watery and the syrup tasted off. This is usually my go-to at other shops but I just couldn't drink this at all. Overall it was cool to try a pastry or two but I wouldn't make another trip here.
