This place really isn't bad. They have a good selection of food which is nice. Food didn't take that long to receive. The noodle place was good but their drunken noodles were a little sweet for me and it's supposed to be spicy. I would pass on the potstickers. You can tell they were frozen and just not worth the price-dry and flavorless. I loved the nashville hot chicken sandwich I got with waffle fries. That's where it's at. The price was worth it and the ranch was really good! They have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice!

The billing is "ATOD", A Taste of Detroit. I have been to Detroit a number of times and the unique food items I remember from there were the Detroit style pizza and the first time I ever had perogie's. Curious, I asked what was "Detroit" about the food? "Everything" was the answer. Which includes, chicken wings, chicken strips, Philly cheese steak, cheeseburgers and other items. But, the feature seemed to be the "Coney Dogs." Which are inconveniently named after Coney Island, NY. The area for the food court was spacious, parking area well maintained with black pea gravel, clean black painted picnic tables, ample parking and there were some "tailgate games" such as corn-hole available. Some eclectic classic rock was playing, not too loud. Generally a good impression. I tried the Detroit style Coney dogs. Two on a plate, with mustard, chili and onions, a side of onion rings and a drink for $11. Not bad. Tuesday is $2 Coney day, so I missed it by a couple of days. The onion rings were thick, with some integrity to not fall apart. They were breaded and fried evenly crisp with a mildly sweet, beer batter flavor. Good onion rings (5 of them). The Coney's were just as described. Nothing special, just a plain hot dog. The chili was a wet vs a dry chili, if you know the kind - juicier vs plain dry. It was savory and not sweet, a plus! It was reminiscent of the canned Hormel type chili, but didn't have the carry over canned flavor (but it probably was canned). It came with a drink, which I never was asked about or specified, and it was some type of an orange flavored drink that tasted a little like an orange punch. All for a good price of $11. The day was blustery, and it was a bit chilly in the wind, but I could see this as a good, quick lunch where you can enjoy the outdoors. But, I'm not sure exactly what was "Detroit" about it?

Whether it's coffee, a pastry, some bottled drinks, or food, everything here is good quality. Of course, we were paying casino prices, but that is expected. No complaints about the food or drinks. The only suggestion would be to have assistance for people who cannot use the kiosks to order and hold up the lines.

What kind of food court opens most of the restaurants at 4:00 p.m. like this place? Crazy. We decided to keep wandering around the casino and hotel complex and see what else was available but before we left we stopped at the pub in the food court and ordered a couple of drinks. We had one gin and tonic and one old fashioned for a total of $43 not including the tip. On Saturday for dinner we returned and that was a serious mistake. The crowds were insane. Several people mentioned that they had never seen it this crowded but it was because of Larry the Cable Guy being there that evening for a performance. All ordering is done on a set of self-service kiosks that are in the middle of the food court. That was confusing because everyone had to learn from other people that this is the way you order food. It was especially difficult for some of the more senior citizens and whoever thought about putting this in a casino really needs to be replaced. So after you order at the kiosk you then have to listen for your name to be called at the places you ordered. I ordered from the sushi place and from the burger place so I had to stand between them and wait for my name to be called at one and then the other. It's definitely not user friendly if you're ordering multiple meals from multiple stations. The small few pieces of coconut shrimp with fried rice cost $27. It was worth about 7. My hot dog was $13.95 plus a dollar to upgrade to sweet potato fries. It was a regular hot dog. Each of our small fountain drinks was $3. The drink dispensers were only dispensing foam. Take a look at my photo to see. Grand total of $49. The Chinese dish was ready in 10 minutes but the hot dog took 25 minutes. We would not return here unless everything was open and there were no crowds. Git 'er done!
