It's close to restaurants and a beautiful place to watch the sunset (and less crowded than Mallory Square), and right at the end of Duvall Street, which is the main drag through Key West. This impressive Queen Anne Victorian style house was designed as a one-bedroom mansion. What it lacked in bedrooms it more than made up for with its open water views, elegant public rooms, two story balconies, and large stained glass windows to catch the ocean breezes. little bit of History piece: William Curry came to Key West, from the Bahamas, penniless. He became a wrecker and with his massive fortune, built eight mansions in Key West and became Florida's first millionaire. His daughters wed wealthy men as well. One of his daughters, Florida Euphemia, married Judge Vining Harris. Interesting Fact: Electricity was a novelty and a luxury in the 1890's. Mrs. Harris wanted the best and was able to engage Thomas Edison to oversee the electrical design and installation for the house. read more

This spot is fantastic! Love the location and our room had the view of the ocean and Duval street! The balcony right off our room was so relaxing and great for people watching. It had a chair swing. Beautiful architecture and extremely clean room! It had a fridge, oven and dining room, but my only complaint is it doesn't have a microwave. Service was great. Highly recommend!! We've visited the Keys many times and so far this is our favorite spot to stay yet! read more

We had a great time staying here. It is the right amount of 'in the action' on Duval St. There is a bar as part of the property, which is convenient - and it shuts down at 7pm so it isn't too loud at night. Convenient to get to the restaurants and bars on the other end of Duval with a 15-20 minute walk. Appreciated that they had parking on site, and they rent bikes for $15 a day, which makes for getting to Key West attractions easy. The included breakfast is remarkably varied for a smaller location with hot and cold options. Great way to save some on the food bill. We'd definitely stay here again. read more

We loved staying here! The location is great! Loved that it was at the end of Duval street. The staff were nice, the room was clean. We loved getting a free drink ticket to use at the bar every day. The pool was nice to relax in! The breakfast was just okay. After a few days, it got old eating the same reheated foods day after day. i stayed 2 nights. this was a fantastic deal .exec location. priced right those two days. fully renovated modern interior old world charm cottages . A/C Worked on remote control in room. Bed was awesome for comfort & &sleeping, safe in room ,bathrobe & good towels, 55 in tv placed right . the negative coffee maker was useless. I didn't like climbing over bathtub to shower. Needed slip strips. bleakest was basic scrambled eggs and some cereals it was okay u need to eat outside sitting area. they must have had red tide at the time as the ocean stunk near the shore in this area. nice entertainment at night some free. a good experience. if you go to the local tourist restaurant's expect to pay $$$. read more

Stayed here for an anniversary getaway and could not have been more pleased. Beautiful local. Beautiful building. The second floor suite was clean, comfortable, and had views of Duval St and the Southernmost Point marker. While on Duval St, you are close enough to walk to everything, but just far enough to be able to have peace and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, all despite a tropical storm welcoming us just after checking in. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Key West looking for more relaxation than pub crawl. read more

I booked this Bed & Breakfast because of its convenient location and overall great reviews. Upon arriving, we were blown away by it! I wish I could give it more stars. We stayed in room 4A and it was clean, well stocked, and the bed was comfortable. If you like more fluffy pillows like I do, you may want to bring your own. Breakfast was OK, but there are so many amazing breakfast places in Key West that you'd be missing out on by eating at your hotel/bed & breakfast anyway. The house itself is quintessential Key West. It's beautiful and offered free parking for our golf cart we rented (which is very hard to find in KW). The staff was helpful and nice. I have nothing but great things to say. Stayed here this week- in room 1B and loved alllllllmooosssstt every minute of it. The ONLY thing i could complain about would be the room above us was SO loud it kept us up quite a few nights, the noise level was insane. BUT, everything single little detail about this place is absolutely amazing. The staff is so wonderful and sweet. The room is clean, and you just walk in and feel like your home. Adjustable AC, a ceiling fan, TV, white noise machine, beach towels. They have thought of everything to make your stay the most enjoyable. Not to mention, it's centrally located and just a short walk in every direction to a great restaurant, bar, beach, or shopping. They do offer a free drink ticket for their bar everyday you stay, and complimentary breakfast which was surprisingly delicious! Close to the action on Duval but on a quieter end so nice. Simple room with a pretty good provided hot breakfast. Pricey but probably in range for the area. Did not feel we got much of a room for over $300 a night and would probably stay somewhere else for a future visit to Key West. read more

We had to cancel our reservation on 9/25 due to the impending hurricane. When Expedia called them they said they have no notification of a hurricane. It was all over the news! They also have a notification on their page stating no fees will be charged if you have to cancel thru 9/30. Expedia tried to get the first night charge and the fee back and they refused. I messaged them on 9/28 again and they never responded. I was going to rebook with them in two weeks but you lost my business. We ended up booking with another resort. Not trustworthy! This is a charming little property. Just like the other reviews say. It's far from the noise, but everything is walking distance and it's steps from the 90 mile buoy! We stayed two nights and I have not a single bad thing to say. Even during the pandemic they offered free breakfast. It's nothing fancy, but gets food in your belly after a long night out! The room had fresh flowers and sweet details. They allowed for late check in and just made everything so easy. It is not a cheap hotel, but it does give the key west experience. I would come back! We booked the last available room which happened to be the smallest room offered. The room rate for what amounts to an oversized walk in closet was outrageous. While I understood that the room would be on the small side, was still surprised that my husband and I could not even walk past each other in the room. I think the most surprising thing was that friends staying in the much larger rooms were paying a rate of only 10.00 to 40.00 more for quadruple the space. Nowhere to sit, no closets, no vanities, no bureau, half shower, located next to parking lot. 410.00 a night was a rip off. read more

For perspective, a few other places I have stayed in Key West: Hayatt Resident Club- (quite nice but you need transportation to Old Town Key West) Baynon Resort - nothing special. Good location. The coolest Banyon Tree. Pegasus International Hotel - Easy to find when completely sloshed. Inside, there is nothing special. Coconut Beach Resort- nice, but a longer walk. The complimentary happy hour Rum Punch is awful! I have stayed at Southermost Point several times. I like the location since its within walking distance of everything and close to a small beach. The breakfast was very nice, and desk service very good. We arrived early and they made special accommodations until our room was ready. The pool is small...actually like a large hot tub, but this is a place for adults to cool off...not the kiddies Holiday Inn. When you look for accommodations in Key West, the closer to the action you are, the more expensive it gets. I like being a bit away, yet within walking distance. read more

We loved our 3 night stay at the guesthouse! We had the petite room which was just enough for what we needed - the patio was super private so we took our snacks out there before we went out at night for dinner. The drink tickets each day were great; get up early to see the sun rise, get to the point marker before there are lines, go back to sleep, get your breakfast, get ready for the day and get your drink ticket and relax before planning out the agenda. Doesn't get better than that!! I would have been fine also sitting at the bar patio enjoying the sun and people watching. I think the best part of our stay was Denise!! She was beyond friendly and accommodating from the time we checked in until the time we checked out! Honey and I decide to visit the southernmost point today and he liked it so much he decided to stay around this area. We picked this B&B and so far it been pleasant . Woman at the front desk extremely hospitable . Not used to people being so polite ( from Miami) she walked is right to the door of you room. Very private stay and renovated. The place is a real gem. The customer service was absolutely outstanding. The location is super close to many restaurants bars and beaches. Our room was changed at the last minute and we were offered an upgrade with a room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa. Our room also have a full kitchen in a very large bathroom. They offer a full breakfast daily and also a free drink coupon each day per person. We live about five hours from there in Bradenton and this will be definitely our new weekend getaway. read more

I found this place on line and booked it before making our way down to Key West. Wow! What a great deal this turned out to be! It is in what i consider a PERFECT location! Just a few blocks from the beach. A beautiful, old, historic mansion. Lovely grounds with all kinds of tropical plants and flowers, palms, bananas, flowers...a swimming pool, off-street parking. The staff were friendly with superb customer service skills. We didn't get to eat breakfast because we were always on the run but I did see the spread and it looked like Danish, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, nice choices. The rooms were gorgeously decorated. Nice TV with lots of channels. The rates are very reasonable. This is a gorgeous property. Very comfortable but it makes you feel like a million bucks too. I really felt like I was in the lap of luxury with this place. I very, very, highly, recommend this awesome property. read more

I have stayed at several different B&Bs in Key West and have always thought about staying here. I booked this trip over 6 months in advance. I told them it was our anniversary weekend and even called back a week or 2 before to let them know this and they told me they had that noted. I was super excited to finally start my 3 day weekend after spending 5 hours in a car. We walk in to check in and get the key and there is a woman there by the name of Bobbie and the owner was sitting right next to her and introduced herself. I was telling Bobbie where our dinner reservations tonight and if she knew where this restaurant was (I would be wearing heels so if it was far I would take a cab). Bobbie replied to me is "OK your here now so CALM DOWN" seriously!!! At first I was excited, now I am insulted and a little angry but OK. We decide to cab it and she said she would call a cab and it will be outside at 5:45 (6pm reservations) well at 5:55 I sent my husband in to ask Bobbie, and she got on the phone with them and then they came. We were late for reservations but was still able to be seated. Back to check in : after being told to calm down by Bobbie, the owner walked us outside and points at a separate building and points up the stairs and says your up there. She did not walk us up or anything. We walked into our room there is an old window air conditioner and the room was very warm. It took 6 hours to get the room temperature acceptable.Their breakfast consists of strong coffee (which I happen to like) fake eggs scrambled, cheap sausage links and bacon that was the thinnest weirdest tasting bacon I have ever had... none of which were warm at 7:45 and they started breakfast at 7 or 730. They did have bagels and fruit, but I would not count on having an enjoyable breakfast. Its edible at best. I had went in there at 10:45am the first morning after we got back from the beach to grab a bagel and they were putting stuff away, I saw the bagels on the counter and asked if I could have one. Bobbie says sure, then I am looking around for a knife and did not see one so I asked and her reply was "TAKE IT EASY" ok now I am really pissed. I know I am a high gear type of person (ADHD) but no reason for this woman to say these type of things to me for simply asking for a knife. The lights in the our room do not work by the switch you had to stick your hand up the lamp shade and turn it on, then walk around the bed and do the same on the other side. The 2 shades did not even match. One was big and off white, the other was small and red. The bed was smaller than a queen size I believe but it was comfortable. But then again so is a Holiday inn. They never told us they had a pool, When we looked online and realized there was a pool we went in search of it and it was very small and a lot of leaves in it. We did not use it. I also think they should have done something for our anniversary, rose petals on the bed perhaps? (Most places use plastic ones they re use) I would have even paid extra had they have said when I called back to make sure they were aware it was a special weekend. Why put a note down if you don't plan on doing or offering anything? Also they have an alarm clock in the room but it is the wrong time and neither myself nor my husband could figure out how to change it. They did put out wine at 4pm for guests. It was the cheap gallon wine and I saw some guests walking back to their room with 3 glasses each. The wine was a nice touch, and after seeing people abuse it I don't blame them for keeping it cheap. I think they have free wifi, that was also not mentioned to us at any time. The Avalon was where we stayed the last time we were down and it was much nicer, as was the Duval House. I just went to their webpage and my room looked nothing like they have on their site. I wish I would have taken pictures of my room. There was also no white mesh hanging in our room over our bed like all of their room photos show. I won't be staying here again. read more

My husband and I took the kids to Key West for several days and found this place by accident. I'm so glad we didn't make reservations someplace else. We stayed here in the middle of the summer, so the rates were very reasonable, the staff was great, and we loved the room. Bugs crawled up my nose. I thought I might be just getting sick since my nose was tickling me, but my sister both woke up with bug bites everywhere. The hotel insisted that it was not bed bugs but we didn't start scratching until morning. I love the history and and architecture of this place, but for the money I don't think its worth it. The room was insanely small. Staff rarely answers the phone. Customer Service was a big 0. I probably will never come back to Key West because of what happened here. read more

Not to be confused with Southernmost House or Southernmost Beach Resort. Very nice facility with a great location near the southernmost buoy; not a nice experience. The rooms are beautiful and clean. There are no indoor common areas. Balconies are not private. Breakfast is on par with the free breakfast at Hilton or Holiday Inn with rooms at less than half the price - edible but nothing special - nothing like the gourmet delicacies experienced at other B&Bs. I wonder where people eat if it rains. Family members are personal friends with owners and staff, we felt obligated and preliminary phone arrangements were very friendly, cordial, and included an invitation to use the location as a resource saying they would be available all weekend. Saturday morning we were advised our contact would not be "around" again until Sunday afternoon. (Checkout is 11am.) Although it was mentioned we were there to plan our wedding, there was no jump to help. No only were we left to find resources on our own, we discovered our room rate was $75/night higher than advertised on the website. Once connected with our "family friend," there was no warm connection or real assistance. Service from employees at the local Hilton is much warmer and more concerned about a "positive Keys experience." B&Bs are usually more hospitable than the industry average; we dealt with more than one person and over several days with the same consistent cool demeanor. Disappointing. read more

Stayed here with a group of ladies for a bachelorette party and we all had a blast. I was in room 6 and it had a full kitchen, wrap around balcony, and partial ocean view. The interior decorations were modern and looked newly renovated. The full continental breakfast was delicious (sausage, eggs, biscuit and gravy, multiple cereals, pancakes, bagels, waffles, toast, fresh fruit, fresh tea/coffee). The house is located less than 100 feet from the ocean and walking distance from all the bars and clubs on Duval street. They even have cleaners come in every day which is nice since it can get hot and sticky after a beach run! Place was well kept and I was very impressed by the staff. Did I mention the daily 4-7 happy hour!?! They also have an ice machine which was wonderful for lugging beverages to the beach. The parking lot can hold about 15 cars and is ten minutes away from the EYW Key West airport. Definitely recommend this place for all occasions!! read more

I was referred to this location by someone I spoke to from the Chamber of Commerce for Key West. They happen to be running a special for the weekend I was trying to book for a little get away for my partner and I. Bobbi, who runs the front desk of the Guest House was beyond accommodating even over the phone to go out of her way to explain the location, how to get around, etc. I immediately felt comfortable booking this place. We ended up arriving later than the check in time that night. Bobbi was so kind to leave notes to find our guest house and the key. The guest house itself was extremely cozy, easily accessible, and most of all, clean. Our room was refreshed with clean towels every day/night. What made this experience at this guest house more than accommodating was the staff. Bobbi was extremely genuine, knowledgeable about every single place we had any doubt about and full of great recommendations and suggestions. LOVE THE LOCATION ON THE QUIET END OF DUVAL! I made all my arrangements by phone with Beth, and was charmed the moment I walked up the steps! I was welcomed by Bobbi, and was able to enjoy the daily Happy Hour! My room was beautiful and clean. Bobbi gave me many helpful dining and sightseeing suggestions, and I was able to relax at the spa pool on the property, as well as the meditative pool across the street! Owners Mona and Sandy Santiago were delightful, and engaged me in many conversations over my four night stay. AND THE BREAKFASTS WERE DELICIOUS AND FULL OF VARIETY! Wonderful sausages and tender hash browns, along with waffles and fruits, breads and bagels and eggs and GOOD coffee and juice! YUMMY! Other visitors were friendly, and I was able to chat with them at different times of the day between my sightseeing adventures!
