This full-service auto wash has been in this location for as long as I can remember. It is somewhat of an oddity in the area. Being full-service means you drive your car up to the car wash, then disembark, and the staff takes it from there. You can follow your car through the wash, looking at it through windows from a comfortable walkway. At the end you'll end up in a small auto shop with the cashier. There you can buy air fresheners and other auto maintenance products. Meanwhile, your car's wash ends with a towel dry by the staff and your car is waiting for you at the exit. Overall, it's an interesting experience and generally gets your car much cleaner than a common coin-operated automated carwash. Pricing is a bit high, but for the service you get, it's reasonable. read more

I paid for full service to get my car wash and interior clean. They have so many young kids working on a car. This place did a terrible job. The interior was still dirty full of dust. The vacuum job was terrible!! I had to have one of the guy come back and wipe everything thoroughly. Way expensive for the terrible job they provide. I don't mind paying more and getting quality service but I will never come back here again with the lousy service and the ripe off price. read more

$35.00 -Not a true detailing price, but definitely more than just the regular machine wash & wax. No..not worth it at all. The interior pockets of the door had not been vacuumed. Seriously, all that was needed was a vacuum nozzle placed down and swipe. Not done. Underneath the seats, ah..no not done either. The door frames not wiped down. The dashboard area was not wiped down. Waste of money. Now, I know people doing this work get paid very little, but this was unless. Plus, when my vehicle was completed, no one came to get me. Ah..why. When I did walk up to the cashier they were personable,[ I mean everyone was very very nice] , they gave me the keys and thanked me for coming. Well, I hadn't pay yet...[sorry I just didn't take the keys and leave,,,they wouldn't have know the difference]. I did complain, and one of the staff did vacuum and wipe down the dashboard. They were very apologetic too. Although $0.01 is donated to the "Kids Food Basket" program [which was not mentioned & I saw no signage about]. Quick wash & wax OK. Went to the new location on Kalamazoo Ave. and left with a cracked windshield and scratched hood. They refuse to take blame and offered no compensation. While they were looking at my windshied 2 other people were there with complaints about damage to their vehicles. read more

They have a fair price but you get what you pay for. I will say there monthly passes are well worth the money. You can use any of the locations.I've had the unlimited pass for over three months, mainly using the Kalamazoo location. Many times my windshield still had bugs or dirt on it, the trunk always had spots of dirt remaining. However I will say that my rims and tires were always clean. The staff loads cars in to close for my comfort, but I'm sure that's to keep the service as quick as possible. read more

Finally I was able to talk my wife into letting me get a monthly unlimited wash plan. I can't believe how much I love this plan. I really like to keep my car clean, and now it is very easy, and doesn't take up all of my time. Keep up the good work Southland, I will be a long time customer now!!!! read more

Hands down the nicest car wash in the greater Grand Rapids area. The staff is incredibly friendly, the price points are very fair, and my car always looks spectacular when I leave! I recently had the $225 car detailing, for which I paid $99 via Groupon. My car was returned very clean except for: they didn't clean the inside of the front windshield,leaving smears, suction cup marks, and splatter marks; the floor mats were soaking wet from the shampooing; the gas fill cover was newly missing the small rubber bumper which resulted in a difficult-to-open gas tank cover with a sunken-in look. The car dealer does a better detailing job for less money. I won't go back. read more

After going through their car wash we noticed that our car was still full of dirt and bugs. When we went back all they did was put it through the wash again. They didn't brush it at all and never even power washed the dirty areas, even though they admitted that it was still dirty, and hadn't come clean at all they said they couldn't refund the money we'd paid for their top end car wash. very unhappy with my last trip to southland 28tgh sw. i have been going there for years and years and when i came back from vacation and needed specifics you no longer provide. your customer service stinks, your prices have sky rocketed yet your performances have not. i had to run it thorugh twice and still wasn't clean! i was told there is nothing they can do. i paid 35.00 for a wash that did not work! i could have gone down the street and paid 6.00 and got the same quality! i will never return again and will make it my mission to see you go under!!! i will find every site i can and give you bad reviews! so sad your greed has clouded your judgments when it comes to loyal customers! shame on you! read more

I came into to Southland Auto Wash Wyoming location a few weeks ago and left with a clean car. As I exited my vehicle I noticed a large scratch about a half inch wide and roughly 8 feet long. It started at the front quarter panel and ended at the gas door. I was sure they were responsible. I started communication with the manager Curt Male. He was polite and assured me he would look into the concern. As fortune had it his IT guy was out with strep throat and he couldn't get me the footage he claimed to have for a week or so depending on the IT guy's recovery. Curt communicated with me though out this time. He assured me that the scratch was present before I entered the wash and he had video evidence to prove it. I asked him to provide me with it and he did exactly that. This is a testament to Curt's integrity and his dedication to his career. To all of the individuals that think the wash is damaging your vehicles. Remain calm and seek the evidence. To this day I have no idea how it got there and common sense tells me it was there wash. However the evidence doesn't lie. These guys have a hard job dealing with inconsiderate customers each day. Tip them every time, even if it is only a dollar. It all adds up and remember what the next guy is going to put them through. I hate that my vehicle has thousands of dollars of damage but love the fact that I can eliminate Southland as the responsible party. Thank you Curt! You are an exception to the fact the customer service is dead. A true example of how to treat a customer. Curt also invited me in to meet with him take a tour to see the camera placement and enjoy a free wash. Exceptional, going above and beyond the call to serve. Recommended Highly! read more
