Evaluation of Pharmacy services at Marcrom Pharmacy - full disclosure - I have been a pharmacist…read morefor 45 years and worked in every environment pharmacy offers from pure clinical services, inpatient, outpatient, large teaching medical centers, small and deployed hospitals and served the pharmacist in charge of all Air Force pharmacies late in my military care. I've worked in chain and independent pharmacies and civilian hospitals. The one thing that is key in delivering pharmaceutical care is to maintain focus on the patient. If your focus shifts from the patient to "the process" or insurance or any other "distractor" then that's when things usually start to run afoul. I have had three encounters with Marcrom's Pharmacy, two for the annual flu vaccine and one for a couple of acute care medications to treat an infection. The flu vaccine visits were very favorable with a professional and efficient staff. The acute care visit left room for much improvement. I was prescribed an oral antibiotic and a topical antibiotic ointment to treat an infection as a result of a medical procedure. The oral antibiotic was filled on the day it was prescribed. However, the topical (wound care) antibiotic ointment prescribed was not in stock. This is where things broke down from a pharmaceutical care perspective. First, there was no engagement from the pharmacist on how or what the patient (me) should do in the absence on this wound care med. Fortunately, I knew I had some over-the-counter ointment at home to get me through, but a non-medical person may not have known this and not known what to do. This could have been a significant wound care issue. Second, the clerk assured me they would notify me when the out-of-stock medicine came in. This did not happen. On day three I tried to call, got no answer, only to be point to their texting capability which I did. I texted them and asked if the ointment had been received and FILLED and to please advise. They responded, "Sorry about that! We do have that here whenever you would like to pick it up. Thanks!" Finally, when I arrived to pick up the prescription, that I had specifically asked in my text was "filled," the medication was not ready, and I waited for 40 minutes. They have a "will call" system so I know they fill medications for patients before they arrive, so patients do not have to wait but that wasn't the case for me. I asked the clerk if she would like my feedback and she listened politely, took my name and that's the last I heard. It's unfortunate this is a presentation of my profession, I know there are pharmacies out there who do keep the patient as the focus. I guess I'm still looking for one in Manchester.

They do not sell beer and/or laundry supplies like the chain pharmacies do, they do healthcare. They have weight loss programs and they can check your blood pressure and anything else related to keeping you healthy. They are the home town pharmacy that truly cares for you and your family and when you go inside, you'll become one of their family.

Have you ever tried a sandwich from the Publix Deli? OMG. Always so good :) The meat, the veggies,…read morethe toppings are always fresh. You can truly taste the quality. You can also upgrade to Boars Head meat, but I honestly prefer the standard deli meat from Publix. My observation is that most people order regular subs, or the daily special - but an employee showed me the best deal in the house! It sounds confusing, so I'll try to explain :) Subs & Sandwiches: You can order a "whole" or a "half" ... same like Subway. HOWEVER!!! - here's the fun part - you can also order a "whole" or a "half" on regular bread. If you order a WHOLE sandwich on "regular bread" - like wheat, rye, sourdough, or my favorite WHITE MOUNTAIN - they give you TWO WHOLE SANDWICHES that are generously sized :) IN MY OPINION, that's much more fun than any sub. The sandwiches are nicely wrapped and bagged separately. So really, it's like two meals in one!! The sandwiches are always delicious. It's a great, healthy option to all other fast food. Give it a try next time you're at the Tullahoma Publix deli :) I promise, you will love it. Last time I checked I think it was $8.99 for a "whole" - which translates to $8.99 for TWO full sandwiches on regular deli bread. It's delicious and a great deal. Love!

Stopped in to this fabulous new grocery/pharmacy/deli on Thursday the first of November after…read moredropping off all my charitable donations. I had been trying to find my EAS AdvantEDGE low carb/high protein drinks and the places that used to have them no longer do... so I was hoping that Publix would. When I moved from Murfreesboro to Shelbyville four years ago, I really missed having a Publix. I've eagerly awaited the opening of this one! From the time one walks in where you're greeted by smiling faces... and handed the latest sales circular... take note Kroger; you who have the worst customer service ever... it was a deluge of happy, smiling employees who were greeting me just like at ALL the Publix stores I've been in. One would ask "Is it because it's a new store?" My answer to that is a resounding "NO!" I've always had a pleasant experience at Publix. Never a grumpy employee to be found, and they will bend over backwards to assist you in whatever it is you need. Looking for my EAS product... horrors!... they didn't have it either. As I was headed to the deli to get a bit of something to eat on the way home... by the way, their subs were rated THE BEST by something or another... sorry I can't remember by whom... I was greeted by a customer service rep who asked how my shopping experience was going. I told her I was a bit perturbed that they didn't have my protein drinks. She, Carla, said we could attempt to rectify that problem if I had a minute or two. Awesomeness! Of course I do! She grabbed a form to fill out with the specifics of what I needed, and it would be turned into the manager and whoever did the ordering. I got a copy and they'd call me if they were able to get it and it arrived. SWEET!!! Again... TAKE THAT, KROGER!!! Headed to the deli area... woooooooo... so sad to be on low carb/keto for once. Must've gained weight from the smells and visuals alone! Got some unbreaded fried chicken wings that were mega delicious! Didn't mess up my meal plan at all. Prices are great. The checkout people are darlings... the baggers as well. I had to laugh. I had my purse, a tiny bag of chicken wings, and a drink... and was asked if I would like assistance to my car. Was I that exhausted looking? (Probably... LOL) It's just how they are at Publix. Smiling. Happy. Ready to assist you at all times. I'm so glad they're open!!!

This location is situated just off of 24 in Manchester and has undergone an update in the past few years. They have 5 actual register lanes with the remaining being self check. They do have plenty of staff working the self check areas, but they are not doing much in effort to keep things moving. There was a ton of staff on the floor, but no one interacted at any point. Store looks decent conditionally and the sales floor appears fairly clean. The parking lot needs some attention as there is trash scattered through out and overflowing trash cans. All items I was after were in stock, however the personal items I wanted had cut packaging, clearly from when the stocker was opening the case and sliced the product packaging. Overall, this is your standard Walmart honestly. I came on a mission and accomplished it. I'm not in the area often, but when needed, wouldn't mind stopping in.

i would like everyone to know this place doesn't give two shits about their customers! i had my…read moremedicine transferred from fayetteville walgreens where i had been a customer for over 20 years. my first visit was the worst experience i have ever had with any store or customer service personal in my 53 years. first off the pharmacist annie took it upon herself to cancel medication from the fayetteville pharmacy and said my doctor gave her the ok to do so. this was all during the christmas holidays, my doctor called in mmy meds on the 16th of december, i live 30 minutes away i had to come back every day for a week being told that my doctor didn't call them in . i would speak to my doctor and she would say she talked to this annie and i was all set !!i would drive 30 minutes to pick up and miss annie would say she never spoke to my doctor!! i recorded all conversations.!!!!she ever told my doctor to take me off a medication i had been on for over 10 years. no referral to a specialist nothing!!!!! this young pharmacist should be reported to someone who is in charge of pharmacist that think they are god! just for the record this is how we had friend with cancer die, he had just got out of the hospital and needed antibiotics that cost $200.00 because he was in the donut hole but before he could get in touch with the doctor on monday he was gone. pharmacist playing god kills!!!!!!!
