It's a safe area. Very quiet. I almost never hear my neighbors. Once my neighbor was playing loud music....Someone asked her to turn down the music and she did. That was the end of that. The office staff is terrific and the maintenance staff does a good job too. I've had to ask maintenance to come back on two or three occasions because they hadn't completed a job correctly. They've always come back immediately with a positive attitude and no complaints. The staff jumps on maintenance issues immediately, unlike almost every other apartment that I've lived in. They are passionate about making Sand Creek Woods a great place to live. Downsides: There isn't much storage space (closets/cabinets). The kitchen is small. The rent used to be a great deal, but the rent has gone up a ton the last three years (about 9% each year). I don't have any pretty neighbors. :) It's not a young complex, mostly middle-aged residents. Having said that, the positives far outweigh the negatives, I love living here. It's the best apartment that I've had!

Over 30 mice were found, and multiple rodent traps had to be placed around the water heater area. Understandably, that was frustrating to deal with as a new tenant. There were also maintenance issues during my tenancy. At one point my refrigerator broke and I was told it could take over a week to replace. Additionally, on multiple occasions when maintenance entered my unit while I was away, my dog was locked in the bathroom for long periods of time, which was very upsetting. I'll be honest that I did express frustration to the office about these situations. However, my rent was always paid on time, I got along with my neighbors, and I tried to be an active and respectful member of the community. I'm sharing my experience so future tenants are aware of how concerns about maintenance issues may be handled. Your experience may be different, but this was mine.
